AOT: It Was My Choice Chapter Fifty Three: The Future?

- Krista's Pov -

I knocked on the door of Aeron's house, half-expecting Aeron to answer the door and then expecting a maid to do so.

I don't know but ever since he came to Boot Camp, he eats and drinks like a noble. Not everyone can afford a meal of three silver coins, You know.

But I'm totally not his friend because of money, I couldn't care less about money but he just felt like an upbeat guy and every time we talk, He makes me laugh. Besides, He's one of the people in that camp that don't look at me with lust...

There was silence permeating the night air and I took in a slight breath before raising my right hand to knock once again but the door opened, revealing the black haired boy I was expecting.

His hair looked strange yet cool, Black with purple indents at their edges and not to mention his purple eyes. He looked like someone straight out from my wildest dreams, Not like I would ever tell Aeron that.

"Hey Krista, been waiting," Aeron said and opened the door wide, signaling for me to come in.

"Got held up in a little bit of a scuffle," I said, averting my eyes from his as they seemed to let up a bit of fury at my words.

"Who held you up?" Aeron asked, his voice calm, "Was it a military police officer or just some random goons?"

"The latter one," I replied and entered the house, taking off my slippers before my entry, "But I was helped out by an MP officer nearby,"

"Around these parts, The MP sure are useless," Aeron chirped out and closed the door, "But the security around this specific street is tight, so no need to worry about thefts or anything like that,"

I looked at Aeron.

"Yeah, for some strange reason, The Military Police seem to be swarming this street like flies," I said.

I got no reaction out of him and just as I expected, He seems to have bought the Military Police over here... They should be shitty expensive, right?

"You bought them?" I asked.

"Hired, Rented, whatever word you want to use," Aeron said as he hung my slippers at a cupboard nearby, I didn't really see him carry them... Yeah and these are one of the strange things that happen with him, He's so fast, "Just don't use buy, You make it sound like I bought useful merchandise,"

"The Military Police aren't useful?" I asked.

"Of course they aren't, I rent 35 Members to survey this part of the Trost district and that costs about 35 silver coins every year," Aeron replied, taking hold of my hand with intentions of leading me to the Living room, "It's good for dealing with all these small-time thugs and gangsters BUT what if a Titan or two appeared in the city? How useful would they be? Besides, They're a tad too expensive for my liking,"

"And why do you rent them?" I asked.

"To protect my Sister, She's too pretty to be left alone," Aeron said and I looked at him blankly.

Who in their right mind spends 35 Silver coins a Year to protect a girl?

"You have a third sister?" I asked.

"Yep," Aeron said, "But the other 3 are adopted though, I'm the only child my parents have,"

It didn't make more sense now... Why spend so much money on an adopted sister?

The living room was nice and pretty, better than the run-down apartment that I lived in now but the women in the room were something else.

I always knew Mikasa would look nice in Casual clothes and I was very right about it, She was wearing a shirt that was bigger than her and black shorts, On instinct, I knew that the shirt belonged to Aeron.

Anna on the other hand looked as goofy as ever, wearing a yellow shirt and black trousers, Fuck... The trousers were bigger than her and they belonged to her too.

The last girl was far older than the rest, but she was pretty and I had to admit that Aeron made a good decision in protecting her... but there was something familiar about her.

I couldn't quite place it, whether it was something about her hair or her eyes but it seemed so... familiar, like I've seen her before but I guess I must be hallucinating...

I turned to Aeron who took in a deep breath, that fierce smile still on his face.

"This is Krista Lenz, and she's my friend Frieda," Aeron said and I turned to the older woman who nodded and smiled at her BROTHER.

Frieda approached me and extended her palm, for a handshake.

"Thanks for taking care of my Younger brother," Frieda said, "I know he can be mischevious sometimes but he's a good person,"

I reached for her palm and took it... feeling a certain warmth around her hand.

"No problem-"

My voice was cut off as the warmth turned into a powerful heat, threatening to melt my hand and sparks of brilliant golden lightning enveloped Frieda and I... Something was strange and off about her...

The way she looks... Her name... Everything seemed familiar and I could see that she saw it too.

I turned to face Aeron but there was nothing, There was only me and Frieda revolving around a white space... and then the white space changed, revealing something that was shocking.

I saw an older Aeron, wearing the robe of the King, a red robe as well as a crown...

And beside this Aeron, was an older version of myself wearing a similar robe except this one was colored pink and a crown on my head as well.

Both of them were smiling at each other, and I looked at the other Krista, seeing a bulge in her stomach... revealing that she... was pregnant.

"Is this the future?" Krista mumbled.
