22 AOT: Humanity's Last Stand Chapter Twenty Two: Petra Ral

Two Days Later...

I walked down the streets, My cap pushed down my head as my eyes narrowed as I stared at the wall. 

"I'm going outside," I said to myself and once I got to a secluded area, I ran towards the wall.

…

"I'm here again," I said as I was once again, a little bit far away from the walls.

My eyes stiffened as I gave myself a goal once again, No use wasting the precious meat in my hand.

'Kill 60 Titans,'

The feeling of determination made my blood boil as my goal had been set, I looked down on my hand and bit down on it, purple sparks of lightning shrouding me and then a Purple thunderbolt coming down from the sky, creating a huge crater around me.

An Eighteen Meter Titan appeared, It's Blackish purple hair blowing in the wind as smoke from the transformation rose from it's body. The Attack Titan was once again upon the world.

My hands glowed with purple lightning as I brought them up for a defensive posture, blocking the slap of a 12-Meter Titan. I raised my right fist up and brought it down on the Titan's head, sending it straight into the ground as well as shockwaves rippling in the surroundings, I stepped on the nape of the monster and ended it's misery.

My Titan body was hardly exhausted, I guess it's because my goal isn't completed yet.

"What about if I gave myself a goal of 100 Titan kills?" I voiced out, shocked by my voice finally showing itself.

I couldn't speak before because of the lack of vocal chords in the Attack Titan, BUT it was here now and my voice sounded so badass.

My eyes focused on another Titan as I ran forward, my energy seemingly endless as I kicked up the Titan and slammed it's body into the ground, utilizing the full force of my Titan form.

The crash was even worse than the first one as chunks of the ground flew out and the Titan was buried in a crater. My foot crashed into it's nape, a cacophony of blood and steam shooting upwards in response.

The scouts were outside the walls, The squad of 100 armed with their horses as Commander Ervin was in the front lines, his hands strumming the silver mane of his horse.

A black flare lit up the sky as Ervin cocked his head to the right, at a Scout who had shot the flare.

"Commander, There's an Abnormal, 14 Meters tall, Coming from the west," The soldier said as he steadied his own hands on the reins of his horse.

Ervin viewed the horizon and he saw a Titan that resembled that of an old man with matted white hair and a small beard. The Titan was following them, It's eyes seemingly mirroring Ervin.

"Engage!" The Commander let out, "Levi Squad!"

A squad of horses behind Ervin suddenly broke formation and headed to the right, These soldiers were Levi Ackerman and his squad which consisted of Eld Jinn, Petra Ral, Oluo Bozado, Gunther Schultz, Farlan (I don't know his surname) and Isabel Magnolia.

"That Ervin always puts us against the tall ones," Isabel was the first to speak, The redhead seemingly pissed off at Ervin's behavior today.

"Shut up Isabel and focus on the task at hand!" Levi snapped and Isabel lowered her head.

"Sorry Bro," Isabel muttered under her breath and held the reins of her horse tightly.

"No worries," Levi said, his gaze softening.

Farlan and the others knew on instinct not to interrupt their moment as it was a regular thing here, The roar of the Titan knocked them out of their thoughts as it raced forward, Each step it took was quaking the ground as it opened it's mouth, Titan drool painting the ground.

"Alright!" Levi exclaimed. 

He jumped off his horse and his Omni-Direction Manuevering [ODM] Gear burst to life as a hook attached itself to the arm of the Titan. Levi shot forward and the others pulled back, He would be able to take care of a 14-meter by himself so there was no problems.

Their sudden moment of peace was interrupted by a powerful series of roars as three Titans suddenly roared behind them, Farlan's face was tense and so were the others while Petra's heart was in her hands, Her eyes moving along the very shape of the Titans in front of her.

"PETRA!" Oluo screamed but it was too late as a Titan swung it's fist, slapping Petra and her horse into the sky and a little bit away from the battlefield.

The Attack Titan's body was rotting now and beside it were several piles of titan corpses already decomposing though. I had reached my limit and I even managed to get more of a understanding about the Titan Shifter powers.

One can transform due to a set goal and the amount of determination to achieve that goal, An example would be my first Titan transformation which happened right after I ate Grisha Jaeger, The amount of power that I got in my Titan was a result of my determination to kill the Reiss family off, especially Rod Reiss, I don't really know why I hate that guy but what the hell...

If one does have that set goal and not enough determination to fulfill it then no transformation, Many situations happened like that with Eren Jaeger which I'm really sure of, I think I even remember him biting off a vein too, Eating your own hand like a dog... pathetic.

So anyway, Titan shifters grow powerful the more the determination towards their goal is.

"That is freaky," I said, "It makes no fucking sense,"

I was knocked out of my thoughts as I saw a horse make contact with the ground sending splashes of blood and brain matter all around and there was still another person, A blond haired woman in Scout regiment uniform.

Before her body could touch the ground, I caught her swiftly in a Princess carry.

"Petra Ral?"

No big deal of a Chapter anyway, Just clearing up some basic knowledge, At least the fillers will soon be done and Boot camp will officially begin at Chapter 30!
