Merry Christmas!

Oliver was still asleep as usual so I quickly began to bake the peach cobbler, "alright now what did Sophia say yesterday?" I asked myself, "oh well I'll just eyeball it." I said as I got all the ingredients and began to mix them together. "Alright lets taste for seasoning." I said to myself as I tasted the "peaches" and turns out apples and almost a cup of salt dont go together, "this is fine maybe a bit more milk?" I said as I poured in more milk. I put everything in the oven hoping that it would come out well, "okay now how long should I put in for and at what temperature?" I said as I just spun the dial to 350 Fahrenheit and was gonna leave it in there for 30 minutes... maybe a bit longer if needed.

As the "Peach cobbler" was baking, I began to to gift wrap my presents with Jackson, "Alright here's the tape and be careful with the scissors." I cautioned Jackson, "I got it." He muttered, "Thats everything now lets put these under the tree." I said as I headed back to the living tree before Jackson spoke to me, "What tree?" He asked, "The Christmas tree that I asked you to put up silly." I said thinking he was just joking around but he just stared at me blankly, "Jackson you did remember to put up the Christmas tree while I was gone right?" I asked him with a serious tone, "Its still in the attic..." he said quietly hoping that I wouldn't hear but I did and I was furious but I had to calm down, "This is okay, I'll just put theses in the stockings instead." I said as I went out to find the Christmas stockings. "Here they are, now I just gotta hang them up and everything is ready." I said as I headed back to the living room, I saw Oliver was still sleeping on the couch even though it was past 10 A.M. now, "Go get 'em Atom..." Oliver said in his sleep, I quietly hung 4 stockings by the fireplace and put Oliver's presents in there as well as a few presents for Jackson and Atom, Everything seemed done.

"Ding!" The kitchen timer rang waking me up from my nap, "Looks like the peach cobbler is do-" I said before interrupting myself to see the monstrosity I baked, it was burnt, bubbling and looked like vomit, "Oh no!" I shouted, "What's wrong?" Oliver's familiar voice said behind me, "Ah!" I yelled out, "Oliver what are doing up?" I nervously asked him while hiding the "peach cobbler", "Well for one I could smell something burning and thats really hard to sleep through and secondly I could hear the words peach cobbler in my dream so I immediately assumed that someone here was baking peach cobbler." Oliver stated, "Well nothing like that happened and nobody said anything about peach cobbler haha." I said giving a nervous laugh, "Well that doesn't whatever you're hiding from me that smoking right behind your back." Oliver said as I looked to see that the cobbler was smoking, "Its nothing its just... factory smoke." I said hoping he would buy into it, " uh huh... Requiem!" Oliver said as he summoned his new power Requiem to retrieve the burnt cobbler from my back, "Hey thats no fair!" I shouted at him, "Lets see what this tastes like." He said as he whipped out a spoon from nowhere, he scooped up a good piece and chewed for a solid minute, I was nervous by what he was gonna say, "This is inedible, it's bitter, salty, dry, and is that apples in a peach cobbler?" He said criticizing my baking, "well this was a let down entirely." He disappointingly said, I looked down in sadness knowing that this Christmas was potentially ruined, I almost shed a tear when suddenly Atom came into my conscious, "Don't worry Lily, there's a spare store bought peach cobbler in your fridge that I got yesterday after seeing the trouble that was gonna arise from yesterday's shopping." Atom said trying to relieve my sadness, "Just say that was a second batch that went wrong to Oliver." Atom stated, "Oliver that was just a second batch that went wrong the first batch was perfect, its in the fridge cooling down right now." I said hoping he'd believe me, "Oh really now?" He said as peered into the fridge, "huh, guess you were right, well is it time to eat yet?" Oliver asked, "Of course, after all that is one of your Christmas presents." I said to him, "Thanks Lily." He joyfully said as he began to chow down.

It was time to open our presents, "Alright lets just go alphabetical order with out names." I announced to Oliver, Atom and Jackson, "So I'm first yay!" Atom celebrated, "Lets see... a snow-globe, from Oliver to Atom." Atom read aloud, "I had no idea what to get you so I got you a snow-globe." Oliver stated his reason for the odd present, "and lastly... a picture frame?" Atom questioned, "For whenever we decide to take a group photo!" I said aloud, "Alright then, Jackson you're next." Atom said as he stepped back from his stocking, "oh wow a headshot of Atom with his signature, a pair of rabbit ears and a chocolate, thank you can I go back to my room now?" Jackson unenthusiastically asked, "Alright I'm next!" I said as Jackson walked back to his room, lets see what in my stocking." I said to myself, "A headshot of Atom with his signature, a piece of paper saying I.O.U. signed Jackson, and finally... A First Edition Killerpatty the Fifth plushie!?" I yelled out loud in excitement, "That one is from me." Oliver quietly said, "Oh thank you thank you thank you Oliver!" I excitingly said as I hugged Oliver really tightly, "I think something vital just popped..." Oliver sarcastically said, "Oh sorry, but seriously thank you." I once again said, "I'm the last one to get his gifts, lets see a headshot of Atom with his signature on it how'd he even get these is beyond me, and a coffee mug that says World's greatest grandma... I mean hero." Oliver said in his usual tone of voice, "It was from both of us." I happily said, "Thanks you two." Oliver said with a smile, its rare to see him smile, "You're welcome partner." Atom said, I feel like we kinda touched Oliver's heart there, "Now lets do some Christmas karaoke!" I announced, "uh..." Oliver sounded while trying to come up with a excuse to get out of karaoke, "Too late I've already started it!" I announced making sure Oliver and Atom wouldn't be able to back away now, this was a really good Christmas.
