SHADOW MAGE

Atlas sat at a small, wooden desk in the dimly lit room, his hands still bound by heavy iron cuffs. The overseer, a tall, imposing figure with ghostly white skin and streaks of grey in his slicked-back hair, stood before him. His deep blue eyes, shadowed by dark bags, seemed to pierce through Atlas.

The overseer began to speak, his voice calm and measured. "Do you know why you are here, Atlas?" he asked, not waiting for a response. "You are here because you are special. Unique. Your parents were exceptional in their own right—your mother, a light-wielding swordswoman, and your father, a dark mage. But you, Atlas, are something far beyond them."

He paced slowly around the room, his eyes never leaving Atlas. "Every child, upon turning ten, undergoes a test to determine their attribute and their potential in both magic and swordsmanship. Most have clear limits—some are more adept with magic, others with the sword. But you, Atlas..."

The overseer paused, allowing the weight of his words to sink in. "I was there, in the crowd, the day of your test. I watched as the scales broke, as the numbers climbed higher and higher, surpassing all known limits. Your attribute, Shadow, has limitless potential in both magic and swordsmanship. Such a thing has never been seen before."

He leaned closer to Atlas, his expression a mix of fascination and malevolence. "Do you understand what that means, boy? It means you are capable of feats unimaginable. Powers that could shape the world or destroy it. And that is why you are here. We need to see what you are truly capable of."

The overseer straightened, his gaze still fixed on Atlas. "Your captivity, your training, all of it is to prepare you for the greatness that lies within you. You are not just a prisoner, Atlas. You are a subject of great importance. A potential host for powers that could change the course of history."

Atlas felt a chill run down his spine. The overseer's words were both terrifying and intriguing. He had always known he was different, but this revelation was beyond anything he had imagined. As he sat there, the reality of his situation began to sink in. He was not just a boy anymore. He was a key to a power that could reshape the world.

The overseer continued, his tone becoming even more serious. "In the coming days, you will undergo a series of tests and training sessions. These will be unlike anything you have experienced before. We will push you to your limits and beyond. You will learn to harness your Shadow attribute, to control it, to bend it to your will."

He paused, letting the gravity of his words sink in. "Failure is not an option. If you do not succeed, if you do not show the potential we believe you possess, the consequences will be severe. But if you succeed, if you unlock the true extent of your powers, you will become something the world has never seen before."

The overseer's eyes gleamed with a sinister light. "Welcome to your new life, Atlas. Embrace your destiny, or it will consume you."

As the sinister light in the overseers eyes dimmed he took a deep breath. "Atlas we begin tommarow rest well"

Atlas started to stand and walk twords the door he entered through, the large man already stood with the door open waiting

As Atlas reached the threshold, the overseer's voice followed him, cold and unwavering. "Remember, boy, your true strength lies in embracing the shadows within you."
