A black, gigantic swirling vortex opened beneath the ground, its chasm was so big as if it had swallowed the fabric of the earth.
The vortex swirled slowly as a body plunged into the depths, almost as though it led to another word, extremely deep and terrifying!
Xaloc was falling. The more he fell, the terrifying grief filled his mind.
Endless guilt wracked Xaloc's chest, with regret striking viciously at his soul. It was as the depths intended to throw his entire mind into a state of chaos.
His eyes were filled with hatred. When Xalc had first entered the Depths, any time he thought of Uriel, his mind was filled with guilt and remorse. He felt like he had been too selfish.
Self-criticism. Self-hatred!
Xaloc's thoughts in a jumble and had pushed the blame squarely onto his own shoulders, due to his 'selfishness'.
But his thoughts had changed with time.
His eyes closed and he seemed to recall a scene from the distant past.
