More Spirits and a Warp Cannon

Xiao Long walked into the training grounds as he saw the Chu sisters waiting for him. 

The Young Master got a message that said that the pair were waiting for him in the training grounds as they wanted to show their Martial Spirits.

Oddly or not they have the whole place to themselves, his gut feeling is telling him that they are planning something naughty after showing him that they have met the requirements.

Which made him 'smile', the troll side of him wanted to start teaching these girls that they can't make him do what they want.

Nope, this is why he developed an array of arts to keep himself in control at all times.

So no matter how they want to push it, it's his decision. 

"...Master Long, you are here." Chu Yuechan elegantly bowed towards him. She was radiating happiness even if she couldn't properly show it to him.

"Chan'er, Li'er, it would seem you two awakened the Spirit around the same time." Xiao Long commented on the 'oddness' of this. His gut feeling is telling him that they are planning to double-team him.

Which is…acceptable, who wouldn't want that? However, such a thing would only lead to dual cultivation and not what they want.

And they will learn that the hard way.

"This is because my older sister awakened hers before me. She decided not to tell and wait for me to wake mine." Chu Yueli, being a good girl, instantly explained everything without hiding.

This made the older one look at her with an annoyed look. It appears she doesn't like it when she just opens up like this and just tells everything.

She wanted to do that herself and be praised for her great work. Instead, now her little sister will be praised!

"I see great work, Li'er." Xiao Long walked towards Chu Yueli who was waiting for this moment! 

The moment the Young Master was in front of her he stroked her cheek before pulling her for a hot kiss which made Chu Yuechan jealous.

It lasted for a few moments which was enough for the younger Chu to start moaning into his lips.

Once he was done he pulled back and looked at her misty eyes.

"...wow…" The beauty mumbled to herself as she somewhat got over it.

"...Master Long, I was the first one to awaken Martial spirit!" The Frozen Beauty said with an annoyed huff, she couldn't believe he went to her sister instead of her!

"...but you hid it from me, you knew I was waiting for my women to awaken their spirits, yet you hid it from me. I should spank you for your actions instead of rewarding you." He said that while hugging Chu Yueli from behind. The beauty was enjoying the affection she was getting from this.

His response made her lose her jealousy and instead, some panic settled in.

"...I-I-It wasn't my intention! I just…I thought you would love it when we reveal our martial spirits at the same time!" Chu Yuechan explained her reasoning as she was thinking about how to explain this even better.

"Hmm, I see your point, but you don't see my point." He said with a sigh.

"Unlike you, Li'er knows my point, yes?" He said while putting his chin on her shoulder.

"Un, I understand Master Long's desires." Chu Yueli said with a deep blush. The beauty was his Battle maid long enough to understand things, especially when it comes to his research.

She knows that he doesn't like waiting. Even now when he is supposed to be taking things easily he still is creating the Warp Cannon and is building houses on the tropical island.

This is why she is explaining everything at the moment's notice, apart from that, Chu Yueli and many maids are aware to take their time with the whole children thing.

The younger Chu has this feeling their time won't come any time soon. Regardless, she joined her sister either way. She wants to see if they will have some fun today anyway.

"Good girl, my maids know me quite well." He cuddled some more with the Sword Fairy.

This made Chu Yuechan's frown return with force, she was supposed to be his lover! So why is this happening!?

"Well, why don't you show me your spirit Yueli?" 

"Un." She nodded at his question with an excited look. 

The Young Master took a few steps away from her and looked at what she was going to summon.

Slowly a being shimmered into existence, it was something created from a block of ice. It was quite a slender thing with all four limbs being sharp blade-like. It does have a face or mouth or anything like that. It was more like a doll than a Martial Spirit.

"...This is the most unique thing I have ever seen. What does it even do?" Xiao Long was very much interested in this Martial Spirit, he has this feeling that the less humane they look the more absurd their abilities should be.

"...it can cut."

With hand motion, the spirit turned into a crystalline blade without a handle. It's like Chu Yueli is holding a carved-out sword from ice.

"May I ask for a target, Master Long?"

To her request, he simply nodded and with a hand motion, a target appeared. 

The younger Chu swung her blade from a distance and it left a cut mark on the target which proceeded to freeze through the target once it was fully frozen she swung again and this time it simply shattered. 

"My Martial spirit freezes everything it cuts, once it has some ice on it delivers more damage to anything frozen."

"... Let's test that. I want to see the limits." 

Xiao Long said with wide eyes. Multipliers are something hard to have in the cultivation world. The only exception in all existence was the Heretic God who created something with the help of Jie Yuan, even then it was not a perfect model as it gives Berserker attributes the more it gets multiplied. But if her spirit can multiply damage delivered to anything frozen now that's fascinating power.

"...As you wish." She nodded at his request.

The Young Master proceeded to build a target. This time it was not a simple hollow construction, he was trying now.

Building self-sustaining and self-repairing several layered formations into the form of a target. It took over a minute to make something like this, it's much longer than the simple hollow he made before.

"This formation could keep mid to late Monarchs busy. Let's see how well your Martial Spirit leapfrog cultivation realms."

He motioned for her to try it out. 

Chu Yueli nodded and proceeded to swing again. 

A clean cut appeared on the barrier wall and ice started to appear. It was fighting the regenerative powers of the array. 

It took a while, the ice fought close to a few minutes, it was so long that the trio walked over and inspected it while it was fighting the regenerative powers of the formation.

However, it eventually expired and the regeneration won.

"Impressive, the only reason the ice stopped is because of lack of profound energy."

"...Un, I never expected something like this could exist. This power comes to me extremely simply, but I can damage a mid-stage Monarch while I am just in early stage one.

Monarch stages should be well apart from leapfrog like this." She said with a disbelieving tone.

"That's because people focus on cultivation instead of Profound arts. The idea itself is that stage one can't beat stage two.

Such a misconception developed from the fact that people always take the easiest route. Developing art is far harder than just sitting around and absorbing energy.

Eventually, everyone decided that stage one can't beat stage two because you are just using baseline powerbases to fight.

But there are sword intent, elements, artefacts, formations, and physiques that can muddle your understanding if stage one can beat stage two.

Martial spirits are here to tell people that don't ever conclude that [First of Sovereign Profound] can't beat [Second of Sovereign Profound]."

After explaining to traditional Chu Yueli who simply accepted what he said. The beauty after all accepts his point of view 10 out of 10 times. Because that's what she does. Not that she cares. For her, it's all about being with him. So the bigger picture doesn't matter.

"We are going to run some tests. Let me prepare, I need a few moments."

As he said that he walked over and started casting barrier walls, and arrays. Which ended up attached to her target.

"And…done. You can attack again." The Young Master motioned for her to try. 

Chu Yueli simply nodded before swinging her ice sword.

The moment there was a cut, Xiao Long's arrays lit up. They recorded the attack and sent it to his barrier wall.

For a second he was confused, as the arrays recorded four attacks, not one.

"Wait for a bit, let it recover, and then try again."

"...As you wish."

Chu Yueli nodded, however, Chu Yuechan was confused, she walked over to see what was confusing him.

"What is it?"

"This doesn't make sense. Her attack was recorded as four." He said while stroking his chin. He then double-checked his arrays. 

There should be no difficulties for him to cast something basic like this.

And he was right, all his stuff was in perfect working condition.

Then this means…

"Try again."

With a nod, the fairy struck the target again.

"...I see…"

'The less humane it looks, the more absurd the power can be. And I was right. The way her Martial spirit can attack is either space-related or time. After all, it has four sharp limbs, when it transforms into a blade it's only a single blade. But it cuts with all four limbs. It's either space or time…or both.'

"...Hmm what is it?"

"Her strike is four strikes at once. When you do that in such a small area, the attack is absurdly more powerful, as it's four attacks at once."

"...How?" The older fairy was spooked by her sister's ability. It was much more terrifying than hers!

"Something Space or even Time law related."

"...But, Master, I have no idea how to wield space or time." Chu Yueli frowned with confusion.

"If you can or can't it doesn't matter. The Martial Spirit awakening is related to not just talent or elements you wield, but your core personality can be involved as well.

It can be from the simple fact that you have been chasing your older sibling for many years. It can reflect that time or space." 

His words made her think for a bit, though Chu Yuechan was somewhat annoyed. She was stronger because there was a several-year gap between them. Which is gone now! Yet, it has developed into some sort of time-related power. 

"...I suppose it could make sense."

"Regardless, I could be wrong." Xiao Long said with a shrug, he then looked at Chu Yuechan.

"Now it's your turn. Show me your Martial Spirit."

With a nod, she walked over in front of the target and her martial spirit manifested behind her. It was something he had expected from Frozen Beauty, an ice-cold fairy appeared behind her. It was just like her, almost a perfect copy, however, snow was constantly falling around her.

With a hand motion, the Martial Spirit lifted its hand and the snow proceeded to rush at the target.

However, instead of freezing it was doing both things. The formation froze up and it started to burn inside.

"..."

Both Xiao Long and Chu Yueli were shocked by this development. This was what he was waiting for. He wanted to see someone wield both opposing elements!

This made him think. How did she achieve that? All he could think of was that she indeed spent quite a bit of time training her physique but at the same time, he did make her give up her pride and turned her into a 'hungry' and 'passionate' woman.

Passion sometimes is portrayed as fire.

'This is fascinating. So many curious developments.' 

"What do you think?" The Frozen Beauty tried to sound neutral but she was anxious. Seeing what her sibling can do made her feel that the competition was fierce. 

"Incredible, I was waiting for one of you to develop Martial Spirit with opposing elements. It appears I didn't need to wait for long."

His praise made her instantly relieved. The beauty got excited when he walked over to their side.

It only made her more excited when he gently pulled her into a hug.

"Impressive my beautiful fairy."

She slowly nodded. Not that she did anything impressive but she will accept the praise.

"...Then you have to award me~"

This was where he smiled with a knowing look. He knows what she wants, and he will give it. But with a spin. After all what she wants for that she still needs to work for. He doesn't want to be drowned in a sea of children. No, he will wait for a bit until they grow up a bit and maybe then.

Until then, she needs to get used to his regular affection.

"Don't worry, I will."

Time was moving on, and the sect's overall strength continued to soar. Even [Sovereign Profound] is nothing more than a pit stop. Some of the elders over a few months increased by two small realms in the Monarch Realm.

Such speed is unheard of for ex-members of Supreme Ocean Palace.

Xiao Long was no exception; he was already at [Eighth of Sovereign Profound] and ready to reach the next stage and he achieved all that in between without paying too much attention.

His attention was working leisurely on the warp cannon, and making the tropical island more livable.

Apart from that the pair of his wives are getting visible tummies. So he is spending time with them.

For now. He was ready for a test run with the cannon.

"Hmm…"

The cannon's design went through a couple of changes. At first, he was thinking of a classic round design. But that one is to shoot the cannonball. So he doesn't need it. Instead, he switched to a futuristic rectangle. 

This is to create the shape of a door for stability. What it shoots is not just energy to punch a hole but to stabilise the gateway along the way. For this, he inserted a formula for a barrier wall. And most barrier walls he makes are rectangular.

"Let's see…" With a hand motion, a wall in front of the cannon started to lower down showing the wide expanse of ocean in front of him.

With another brush of a finger on the barrier wall the cannon reacted and proceeded to gather Profound energy. 

The cannon is built in the middle of a profound energy-gathering formation. This formation reroutes all the excess flow of energy and makes it flow towards the cannon, Before it enters the barrel it gets compressed enough to change into a Profound Space Energy.

"...the speed is slow even with all space expansion. I suppose I could add some sub-routines to the absorption sequences."

"...Umm…Master, is it wise to stay this close to something that has gathered enough power to kill a small army of Monarchs?"

Mu Lingxue, his battle maid asked him, as she was keeping company for him.

"In case of failure, all the energy will be launched from the barrel forward, Xue'er. There is no need to worry about that." He explained casually as he was looking at the readings he was getting.

"...Oh, okay…"

She feels somewhat strange as before he used to be much more reckless, Is becoming a father making him more… thoughtful with his actions?

Regardless it makes her heart swoon more when she thinks about it.

The Young Master is becoming more…amazing as time goes on.

At least that's what the fairy thinks. Xiao Long doesn't even realise that the fairy behind him thinks far more deeply than she should. 

Eventually, five minutes later the cannon launched a black beam. It flew forward for a mile before 'hitting' something and starting to spread in all directions. This black energy starts to spread and 'open up'.

What was in the opposite direction of this was a forest with scooped-out earth, it looked like something had taken a chunk of earth.

"That is…"

"Place where the Feng clan used to live. In the Ten Thousand Beast Mountain Range."

"... That's in the Blue Wind Empire, we are half of the continent away from it!" Mu Lingxue said with an impressed tone.

"Yes well…" Xiao Long commented as he saw that the wormhole lost its power and was soon going to close up. The test was over.

At that moment the gate got unstable and quickly closed upon itself.

"...It closed up."

"Yes, Formation Core got the first information on the first trial." Xiao Long said with a thoughtful look. He got the info, and he doesn't like how much juice all of this will need.

"You don't look happy with such success."

"Success was never an issue, I simply reworked how Sacred Ground built their teleportation array, so it would work with better efficiency, However, what is annoying is the amount of power we will need between travels."

"...I see… but don't we have more power than ever? The tropical island is a huge generator." She reasoned with him, and the fairy was right. It would only take them a couple of hours, but Xiao Long was already thinking beyond that.

It might be arrogance but he already sees the Demon Continent as something in the bag and he is already considering thinking beyond the scope of Blue Pole Star.

"You are right about that. But I was thinking on a bigger scale." As he said that he looked at the barrier wall in front of him.

The test was successful; now he only needs to adjust the numbers to keep it open for longer.

Of course, it's time for him to visit The Demon King. He needs his aura to target a wormhole to his continent.

'I wonder how he will feel to know that we found his home because of him?'
