34 Floating Cloud City

Realising how useless the stuff from Thunderfire Fortress was, Xiao Long decided it was time to stop procrastinating and merge the Sect/Clan arts.

For that, he walked over to the Library and started to sort it out.

At the same time, he would note down what kind of Profound Scrolls he had to make.

There is one for Xiao Sect Swordsmanship.

Although, the Young Master started renaming everything, so instead of Sect, it will be Clan.

So, it was Xiao Clan Swordsmanship, and the next one was for hand-to-hand combat.

Then there is one for Domain… regardless…it appears they are going to be taking over the Sect's obsession with Hawks and Eagles.

With Xiao Sect Profound Arts sorted out and added to Xiao Clan, it was time to add Heavenly Spear Thunderfire Fortress arts.

While the majority of their Art is useless, SOME of it is still useful. The Thunderfire schematics can be used in Artefact creation.

Though they are somewhat basic, they can work like a bridge towards Artefacts. In other words, it's useful for beginners…

Then the Heavenly Spear arts will provide the Clan members some variety in weapons. This means they could use Swords and Spears now.

That's why Xiao Long learned the Heavenly Spear arts and proceeded to master them…

The art was as difficult as one would expect, and with Hyper Focus, he mastered this spear art in just a few hours.

After that, he practised it until he found a way to improve upon the spear arts.

After grasping the spear art, Xiao Long Practised some more. He made it so that one could channel an element through the spear attacks.

To make it stronger and more cool looking.

Once practice was done, the Young Master proceeded to write a Profound scroll on spears.

"Oh?"

"I see…quite impressive…"

As he said that, he found that it was much easier now to write the Profound text on the scroll.

Once he was done with the spear, he made another one for Arrays, Artefacts, Fire Alchemy, Water Alchemy, and even more so on pills.

After all, he wants a bunch of pill makers and alchemists to be in his clan!

Eventually, he got something fascinating.

His gaze scanned the surroundings.

He got up from his chair and looked down from his elevated position. Xiao Long was occupying the second floor and he could watch what people were doing on the first floor and ground floor.

With the influx of arts, the library was quite packed with clansmen thinking of learning a new art.

While this is something that he expected, he didn't expect to 'see' with this new Transcended Focus… and what he can see with when he focuses this much.

What he saw were white auras… around people. It's like he could see their neutral Profound Energy. But this was not all…

He can see ghostly auras as well.

What he could guess is… Souls? 

'With this, could I differentiate between someone who is a regular cultivator and someone who is possessed by an ancient cultivator? I guess… if I train this more I could see through soul and mind manipulation… or at least this is where I could push this towards…'

With a new toy to play with, Xiao Long swiftly returned to his work.

Finishing the scrolls and storing them away…

Once done, he walked towards the Contribution Hall where the Elder of the hall greeted him.

"Young Master, how can this old man be of assistance?"

"I have prepared the Profound scrolls for clan use. There are two of each. I have one copy of each to be stored in the Contribution Hall. This way we could rent them out for large amounts of Contribution Points.

"Another set of copies will be given to their respective Halls. This way the elders could focus on training their selected members if they have good potential."

After handing over the scroll Xiao Long went home. He was quite tired. He spent three days inside the Library doing nothing but writing and practising some of the arts outside.

Now all he wants is to be pampered by his girls.

As he returned to his manor, the maids flocked to his side.

"Relax. I have been busy, thanks to how utterly pathetic the Thunderfire arts were. As they say, I expected gold but what I got was copper."

"Oh, Young Master is disappointed! Is there any way we can help you to get over such injustice?" The Phoenix maids surrounded him.

"Yes. I need to relax. So follow me, I need that attention."

"Of course~~~"

All of them that moment followed to the living room.

After spending the whole day being pampered by my maids, I went to visit the newest addition to my household.

Cang Yue was in a very interesting position. As she was just given to me. No strings attached. I could do whatever I want with her.

The Emperor has surely gambled with this move… What if I was like Xiao Kuangyun? The Princess would most likely be pregnant by this point, as that moron would have her in his bed until he got tired of her.

Though I can guess he is in quite a desperate situation.

"...Oh, so you've already experienced a breakthrough."

"!"

"Young Master! It's all thanks to you and these miraculous pills!"

I nodded at her before entering her simple room.

Soon, I will be moving out from this average manor into one much bigger. Now that the manpower has increased significantly, the construction is progressing even faster.

Rooms like these won't exist in my new manor. It feels far too cramped. 

"True. But you are the one who is absorbing the Profound Energy."

"...Yes, but it's the least I can do." 

She still doesn't want to accept my compliment. Well, whatever. That humbleness is quite cute, especially when she is trying so hard to dodge the compliments.

"Good. Now, for the real reason I am here. I have prepared some things for you to study. I will be teaching you three elements."

"...Young Master… is that even possible? I mean the elements?"

"Oh, not in the normal way. It's impossible to have this many…But I have developed ways around such restrictions."

"Impressive… How does this work?"

"Well, it's a physique. I developed it via Dual Cultivation."

Hearing this, she blushed red like a tomato.

"D-Does this means we will be practising t-this!?" She asked with a blush.

"Eventually. However, now you would only get accelerated growth and your body would generate more potent Yin. For now, I want you to practise Fire, and Fire Alchemy. After you become good with it, we will start Dual Cultivation."

"...I see…"

She sounded slightly disappointed. Don't worry Cang Yue, we will have our fun soon enough…

"Great, then let us start."

Xiao Long pulled out scrolls which instantly mystified the Princess.

"Read this… I will assist you with some of the adjustments along the way."

With a nod, the Blue Moon Princess started to read. Her eyes turned spacey.

Her mind was away. 

I gave her the Fire Alchemy scroll. This means she will learn the gentle Orange flames. 

Though I wanted to see how good her talent is towards Alchemy.

A few moments later, she snapped out of her spaced out look.

'Not bad…she recovered faster than Xiao Lingxi…though that girl has a talent for everything just like me and Qingyue. She just lacks a physique and a cheat…'

"...Young Master! W-what is this!?"

"A Profound scroll. Did you grasp what this is?"

"...Un… it's a way to use Profound Fire?"

"Good. Then let's continue, this time with practice."

She nodded as we left the room, and proceeded to walk towards the Warehouse.

This will be great. I will train her in the warehouse, while at the same time I will be improving the arrays over there.

First, it was to help her manifest the fire, then it was to make that fire be as gentle as possible and not just burn away the essence of the grass.

For this, I gave her the second scroll, which helped her to grasp how to control Profound Energy which she was a natural at.

A few days later, she was able to make basic pills like Purifying Pills, Sensory pills, and temporary vitality pills.

Though this was when I remembered that I needed to make scrolls for Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, Wind Profound Energy.

The higher ones I am keeping close to my chest for now.

The next one on the menu for Cang Yue was to manifest Fire Profound energy. 

This was where she needed more time. Simply learning it without a system is a chore. So to work around this, I made her learn simple Fire Profound arts and practise its uses. 

Not to be left behind, Xiao Lingxi returned to practice as well. She most likely noticed that being a Pill Mistress would be of better use to me than just a simple Maid.

It takes time but these girls eventually learn…

~~~~~~Four Months Later~~~~~~

Arrays were done. It was automated. My Clan now makes Sensory pills, both the basic and upgraded versions. Then Vitality pills for both types.

Same with Purifying pills.

Both Cang Yue and Xiao Lingxi can now finally make pills with the Desert Flower. Which makes them an extremely valuable asset for the clan.

Apart from that, the Princess has reached [Spirit Profound].

While my cultivation has increased. Not by much, but it did either way. I have been practising and improving the maid's overall strength.

Weirdly enough, the maids have toned down their horniness for the sake of practising the arts… They have likely realised that I can do more than just increase the base cultivation.

As they say, you will eventually see what is on the other side of the mist.

However, what was concerning was that my wife was still behind the closet doors…

Like seriously… How strong is this Ice Phoenix God art that it takes this long to learn?

'Didn't she spend close to a year grasping this in the book?'

I recalled when Yun Che was with his grandfather for months, Xia Qingyue learned the Frozen End arts.

She spends the majority of that time behind closed door cultivation.

'*Sigh*'

I could only sigh before walking out from my ex-manor and looking at the sky. I proceeded to float and moved towards the mountain. 

The view has changed quite a bit around the mountain. Multiple halls are now dotting the mountainside. The top of the mountain has been cut off and it's used as a practice arena…

Or more precisely, used as the main arena where clan events will be held. 

When not used for events, it's used for practice and mastery of Wind arts…

After checking around, I proceeded to fly down the hole and towards where the arrays are…

When I landed in the main area, I could feel how it was brimming with power.

I put my hand on the ground and used my senses to pick up how close we are to the takeoff.

"Well… I am tired of waiting…so…"

I pulled out another Crystal, and started to pour its energy into the array.

Slowly, it reached its full activation threshold and proceeded to glow, sending bursts of lights in all directions. Other arrays kicked in and the entire land started to shake and rumble… 

'Finally!'

Elders rushed out from their halls to look around, as the earthquake got everyone on high alert. 

"...So it's time… Everyone! Calm down! The city is finally ascending to the skies!" Xiao Li said with authority, which made everyone relax around him.

"Go! And spread the word! Nobody is to panic about this! In the meantime, the rest of us should prepare to mobilise and take over the city!"

"Understood, Clan Leader!"

The elders rushed out to notify the enforcers, while the rest went to calm down the clan.

While this was happening, Xiao Li rushed out to see how the ground was starting to rise.

The Clan Leader was not an [Sky Profound] yet. But he was on his way to becoming one. Without any bottlenecks, his cultivation was already halfway to [Sky Profound].

As arrived at the edge, he saw how the land started to separate. It was an extremely smooth process. It was as if it was cut off by a hot knife and removed from the ground. 

The Clan Leader could only snort seeing people jumping off from the rising land.

All the leeches and crooks don't want to stay in the land which will soon be taken over by the Xiao Clan.

'At last… with this… our Clan will rise!'

As I returned to my new manor, triple the size of my previous one, everyone gathered to ask me what was going on.

"Nothing of concern. We just took off. The whole clan and the city are rising into the skies."

"Umm…why?" Cang Yue asked with some nervousness.

"Because this way I don't need to leave the clan. The clan will come with me." I explained smoothly, as the maids nodded at that.

"...Truly, only our Young Master would think of such methods…" Mu Lingxue said with a joking tone. The Fairy was already used to my methods. 

"Yes… Big Brother is awesome! This way he can take us everywhere he goes!"

"Un!" 

"Yes. Our first destination is Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace. We will be adding the Palace to the Clan. This way we will expand on how big the Floating Island is."

"...I see… does this mean you plan to constantly expand the floating island!?" 

"In a way, I am…this way I can collect land masses which are good for certain things… I am planning to collect a waterfall alongside couple more mountains."

"...Young Master… how will you keep water flowing if you get a Mountain with a Waterfall?"

Chu Yueli asked me with a confused look.

"I will turn it into an internally circulating system. I am already working to make water accessible for us even if we are in the air."

"...Oh I see…Arrays are so convenient with so many uses!"

"Hmm…In a way. The majority of its uses are mixed with the use of formations which is the set area, and runes which command Profound energy. 

"It's just a mix of many arts into one."

They nodded at my words, before I motioned them to move back inside the manor.

"So what now, Young Master?"

"We are going back to training, girls." 

"As you wish~"

~~~~~~Chu Yuechan~~~~~~

It has been months for the Fairy of Frozen Beauty. In a way it was pure torture… her sister has surpassed her. Chu Yueli was already [Third of Emperor Profound].

She was close to where the Palace Mistress was originally. At the same time, Xiao Long, who didn't even cultivate normally, surpassed her as well. 

Everyone is going to surpass her soon…

The Young Master's first maids are already at [Sky Profound], while some of the Phoenix Maids are already at Throne as well.

It was extremely annoying to watch them all simply surpass her while doing that act…

Though… this made her realise one thing… that she doesn't care about her pride anymore… What kind of pride can there be?

They are no longer independent, they don't follow Palace Mistress anymore. Even the Great Mistress follows him! So where does this pride come from? From her average cultivation?

Compared to Young Master it feels like she has wasted her years away…

After coming to the realisation, or more like getting enlightenment from all that despair, Chu Yuechan stood up on her feet and proceeded to walk towards where her Young Master was.

A few minutes later she was in front of his room. Her senses told her that only he was inside. 

From the looks of it, he was working on something. 

'Here it is… now or never…'

"Come in, Yuechan."

His words spooked her for a second, but she controlled herself and entered his spacious room.

This was the first time she was here. She could see a large bed in the middle. It was enough for 4 people to easily sleep in it. Maybe even more. 

Though, her eyes ended up on the side of the room, where a table and a comfortable seat was arranged. 

Next to the table, there was a fancy bookshelf made from expensive wood. This was where her eyes stayed for a longer amount of time.

The infamous Profound Scrolls which turned the whole clan upside down…

Over a single night, a bunch of alchemists were born… it's like transferring decades of experiences over a single read… truly… 

She wants to read the one which would improve her Frozen Cloud Arts! Or Water Profound Energy! Or just pure Profound Energy Control!

"Do you like the room?"

"...Yes…"

"Good to hear. So tell me, what can I do for you?"

"..."

"..."

"..."

For a minute she was quiet before opening up.

"I was wondering…Why are you ignoring me?"

"Hmm? In what way? I have been giving you orders and assignments, you even went with me to tame the Fire Dragon. So which part I was ignoring you?"

"...You didn't take me as your…woman…" She said this part with a slightly embarrassed tone.

"Hmm? You didn't want to. So I never approached or tried to do that. I already have enough maids who can take care of their Master's needs."

His words finally explained to her what was going on. So she decided to finally get over this.

"...I s-see…in that case…I am ready to serve My Master properly…" As she said that, her hands went to her robes and started to undo them.
