ATG: God Of Shadows[Re-Write]

Just as our bodies need food, our mind also need entertainment. To provide that entertainment to our mind, we often indulge in various activities that we find to our liking. We call those activities our hobbies.

And right now, a young man of no more than twenty-one was indulging in the pleasure of his mind in the middle of the night in front of a computer screen.

What is it that's giving him pleasure you may ask? 

Well, it's just as you expected, it was---Trading Stocks!

(A/N: Why are you a bit disappointed yet relieved my reader? Did you expect something else? What a naughty person you are. )

It was already past midnight but the young man seemed to be fully immersed in studying the different chart patterns.

bzzzt bzzzt~

The mobile on the table started to vibrate intensely as the young man looked at it and silenced it and stretched his arms a bit,

"Hmm, three hours have passed huh. I guess I will study for a bit more and then sleep."

And that's exactly what he did and went to bed after two more hours, feeling satisfied with today's productiveness. 

"I have a class to attend in the morning...not that it matters. The only reason I have to attend that stupid class in that stupid university is because of the stupid attendance criteria....Ah! Just thinking about that makes my head ache."

"But, getting a degree is necessary for my future. I will do all the hard work required to secure my future...even if that includes attending those pointless and utterly boring lectures!"

For a second the expressions on the face of the young man seemed to have become similar to that of a warrior going on the battlefield to fight a war, but suddenly the hardened expressions started to flinch and in a second the expression completely broke down and turned to that of a ten year old child that did not want to go to school.

"Ah! Damn it! Those boring lectures will really kill me one day!"

"Oh right, today is supposed to be my birthday. Not that it matters as I do not have anyone who would wish me or celebrate it with me."

There wasn't any hint of sadness on his face as he spoke there certainly was a bit of loneliness,

"Well, I am here for myself and I am all that I need. So, Happy Birthday Me! I pray I get rich soon!"

And then he slept with a smile on his face while trying to hide his loneliness from himself, little did he know a being covered in darkness was watching him from afar. In the next moment the being's eyes shone with a bright purple light as the room of the young man lit up in purple light.

.....

'Painful!'

'How Painful!'

'My head hurts so badly!'

'What is happening? Is it because I overworked last night? But I have always worked till late night and never faced any issues, so why now?'

'Huh? What is that light? Is that a tunnel? Wasn't I sleeping in my room? And why can't I move my body?'

'Fuck! Did I die? Is this the light that people see when they die? I never thought that it was real, but now that it is in front of me, I have no choice but to believe it.'

'I had to die at the time I had started to work hard and earning good money. If I knew I was going to die then I would have eaten a pizza at the very least, oof~ all the money I made is of no use. I should have spent some of it rather then investing it entirely.'

'Well, there's no point of having any regrets anymore. Huh? Did I just move towards that light? Is this it? Will I get reincarnated or will I be extinguished? Well, whatever that may be, I just hope that I don't become a Rhino or something that's hunted regularly. A panda would be nice...they are adorable and cute!'

'The light is getting nearer....Fck I don't wanna die!!!! Waaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!'

Instead of what he expected would happen, his vision of everything around him turned into a blur of bright red as sounds assaulted his ears.

He tried to say something but the only sound that came out seemed to be a cry.

The muffled voices became clearer and clearer as he heard,

"Congratulations My Lady, he's a healthy boy!."

'Wait a minute....did I reincarnate as a human once again? Great, now I don't have to be worried about getting hunted!'

'But why do I have memories of my previous life? Aren't they supposed to wiped out? Did whoever is responsible for it make a mistake....well I certainly won't complain.'

He started to assess the situation rationally and noticed that whatever place or country he was in, he understood the language even though he never learnt it. But still, it was a good sign.

He then opened his eyes slowly and the process was a bit painful and then his retina were bombarded with a lot of colors.

The female doctor who was holding him seemed like a middle aged woman in her thirties, but the strange thing was that she was not wearing the doctor's gown but rather strange dress that seemed to be a bit...Chinese?

Moreover the room did not seem like a hospital room, but rather it was a small room whose walls were made of wood.

Looking around he saw a woman who was laying down on the bed.

'It seems that she is the one who pushed me out of her tunnel.....It's embarrassing to think that the tunnel was her....never mind, let's just not think about it anymore.'

'I should call her my mother right? She seems like a university beauty who would have love letters being given to her left and right. Well, good thing for me, I am going to be pretty handsome if my genepool is derived from her.'

"Are there any complications with him?"

came a voice filled with concern from the side of the doctor lady. 

The source of the voice was a young looking girl who resembled the woman laying on the bed.

"He is perfectly alright, Your Majesty. I have checked his breathing and internal organs. Everything is as it should be."

'Who is that? I can't see her as my baby neck ain't tangible yet.'

The young girl just nodded at the answer as she looked at the baby from his behind with mixed emotions. 

"Mother, are you alright?"

"I am alright, my daughter. Can you bring my child to me Yan'er?" replied the woman laying on the bed who was now sitting up.

'Oh, it seems that girl is my sister. That's good, now I won't be the one who is burdened with most expectations.'

"Yes My Lady!" said the wanna be doctor lady as she bought him to the mother.

'She seems even more prettier up close. Let's increase ranking from the University Beauty to State level beauty!'

The woman or the mother took the baby in her arms as rested her back at the bedside.

She looked at the baby with love ushering out of her eyes as she spoke,

"My child, I promise to give you all of the love and care that I wasn't able to give your late elder brother and more!"

"I will not let anything happen to you and protect you till my last breath."

There were tears rolling down her cheeks as she said that.

'My late brother?...It seems that I had an older brother as well, but something happened and it seems that he is no more.'

"Please do not cry mother. I promise you that this time I will not fail in protecting my brother for he is the last hope for our clan!"

'What the hell happened to them for them to be this overprotective of me?'

'Oh right, I can now see how my older sister looks!'

Saying so, the baby turned his head a bit and saw his sister who was now standing by the side of his feet and what he saw shocked him.

'Why the hell does she have horns on her head!? Where the hell did I just reincarnate?'
