Jareth sat at up at his name being called in a yell like that. In one swift move, he jumped down from the tree and landed in front of her.

Her gaze still remained sharp and unmoving as he stared him down.

"How long have you been there?" Astrid asked, crossing her hands in front of her chest.

"No longer than you have been."

"What!"

She opened her eyes in shock. What did he mean by that? Did he mean he came the same time with her?

"Wait a minute, are you trying to say that, you followed me here?"

"Yes, clever girl, clever Astrid," he praised her giving her a thumbs up.

"Are you kidding me?"

"Nope." Jareth shrugged his shoulders at her and moved closer to the tree to rest his back on it while crossing his legs.

"Why didn't you say anything when I was looking for you? It has been minutes since I went in search of you. How could you do this?"
