He peeled his eyes off the book and darted his gaze back to her face. "Why did you do that to yourself, Astrid?"

"It was not my fault. I never intended for any of this to happen to me. I planned on using it on the Princess, to get her off our trail and probably send her to the palace. But then you startled me and I cast the spell on me."

Jareth's eyes widened at her confession. 'Since when did she have such wicked thoughts? Now, look at what she has done to herself.'

<Jareth: What do you mean by what I did? didn't anything to her. She was the one planning something wicked, not me.>
