While the other man held his bleeding nose in pain, Jareth didn't stop there and attacked.
He quickly put a hand on the man's shoulder in front of him and flipped himself over him, in the next second he held the man's neck and snapped it, killing him in the process.
He turned his gaze to Astrid and saw the situation she was in, he dashed towards them. Unknown to him, the other man he hit on the nose had managed to regain his stamina, he took out a dagger and threw it at Jareth.
Astrid turned her head to look at White-Fire and saw that the leader of the assasins was already too close to White-Fire. She turned her head back to call to Jareth for help when she saw the man throw the dagger at him.
By now she was already too scared and everything was out of her control. The ones she held dear where in danger all at once.
And if she released her hold on the burnt hand man directly in front of her and the vines, she may get killed before she got a chance to save Jareth and White-Fire and they would end up being dead anyway.
With the panic and fear, all she wanted to do was to stop it all and save everyone. Then that all too familiar feeling, the tingling power rushing sensation, that she loved to welcome and felt happy with, coursed through her body as she screamed...
"Noooooooooooo... "
As she screamed, a tear slid down her cheeks as she watched as the dagger was about to hit Jasper.
BOOM!!!
She passed out.
-----------
In the Elven Palace, the King and the Crown Prince stood at the balcony of the Crown Prince's room discussing when an explosion happened.
BOOM!!!
A huge surge of energy erupted far into the sky. The power explosion was huge that it shook the the palace's walls.
"Father... "
"Yes, she is here and at the forest." King Regin's eyes squinted, as though he was peering deep into the forest from where he stood.
"What had made her lose it like that?" The prince asked as he pondered upon the possibility.
Soon his eyes shone as he looked at his father, "Father, could it be that the humans crossed our border and fought in our lands?" He asked his ever calm father.
"They are declaring war!"
"Wouldn't they make it an excuse. That they were only chasing after her?"
"They wouldn't want us to know that she has crossed our borders and into our lands, but they know not that we already know."
"Father, why don't we find out what happened" the Crown Prince suggested.
"It is okay. The soldiers are in the region. Just prepare the troops for anything."
"I can see that King Bayard is desperate for power, for him to let his goons attack and cause a commotion such as this," the Prince commented again.
"Desperate? more like foolish," he said that and moved back from the balcony, his hands folded at his back as he did.
"Do as I have said" the king ordered.
"Yes father," he replied as he bowed his head to his father's retreating form.
"Good."
"Isafora's brat, just you wait. I would make your mother pay for what she did back then," a dark glint flashed in his eyes.
"This time we would make sure not to let you get away Isadora. The days when we meet is drawing nigh."
-----------
In the human kingdom, a room in the palace. Everywhere was quiet save for the Lady standing close to a crystal ball.
As soon as a magic explosion happened, the whole vicinity became blurry and the Lady shouted.
"Ahhhhh, so close. I already had her in my hands."
"Why is it that anytime we get close to capturing her, we lose? How do I tell this to King Bayard?" She spoke to herself as she thought of her current situation.
"He is going to have a feat after listening to what had happened. Now she has alerted the whole magical realm of where she is."
"The competition for the Hybrid has begun again, hmm" she sighed.
"I better think of something, this is not going I'm my favour."
She paces about for sometime and stopped.
Wait, I better get them out of there and clean up. We do not want the Elven King knowing Humans invaded his territory."
She sighed and moved to the crystal and tapped on it.
She had a little look of surprise on her face as the crystal ball came back on.
------------
Boom!!!
A wave of magic followed. From where she was chained, she could feel the power surge.
She looked up, her eyes held a kind of sadness and pain but her lips curved up into that smile and her face had a bitter sweet expression on.
"Astrid... "
