Afer some more talks which becme louder than their murmuring prior to now, Brad looked at the men surrounding them as guards and gave them a nod.
Immediately all weapons were kept away and they stood down, but did not leave their positions. Each one awaiting the next order.
"I see from your story you had suffered injustice like most of us here. For now I would not pass judgment, even though you are supposed to be punished for your crime of theft. I would await our village leader to do that."
"Thank you."
"Do not thank me yet," Bard cut him off with a wave of his hand. "There are rules here and they must be met. For now, we welcome you and you would be given a roof over your head but there would be two men watching your every move until ur village leader can meet you and give his verdict."
