Astral Incarnation

This is the story of Asteria an astrologist who was betrayed and murdered by her best friend and was reincarnated as a monster called star child. Follow her journey as she does her best to survive in a world where monsters are hunted and learns once again how to trust. Also, I absolutely despise how sexist this app is. Like why the fuck is fantasy romance the only option for female lead? this is bullshit. Who made this? Anyway, this is pretty much your standard reincarnation system story. its got magic, it has mystery, it has fight scenes, and it has a supporting cast that are more than just set pieces to make the lead look better. Also you don't have to worry about the female lead becoming completely obsessed with and dependent on a male lead that absolutely DID NOT deserve to be treated as well as he was(that stalker piece of shit bland ass-... I started ranting... sorry about that. Moving past that I decided to write this because I got so irrationally angry at a series I was reading that I decided it would be better to just make my own instead of despairing at the complete lack of what I was looking for.

Chapter 1: Asteria

It was a cold night on the mountain, or maybe she was cold from the blood loss. Which was the cause, she didn't know. What she did know however, was that she was about to die, and it was at the hands of her best friend. Despite all this, she was surprisingly calm. Perhaps it was the shock of it all, or perhaps it was the scenery, but regardless of what it was, all she felt at that moment was wonder.

She had always loved looking at the stars, she thought, but unfortunately she couldn't see them for much longer. After all, she was about to die.

She was somewhat sad that she couldn't watch the sky anymore, but there was nothing she could do. All she could do was close her eyes and rest.

She layed there with her eyes closed for what seemed to be an eternity, but at the same time, a single moment. When she opened her eyes again, she saw the sky.

However something seemed off, like the stars were in the wrong places. This was very confusing for the girl, as she had always known the night sky well.

What was more confusing to her though, was the floating blue screen hovering in front of her face.

Seeing this, she raised an eyebrow.

"The fuck is this?" She demanded towards the empty space in front of her.

She received no reply.

She had expected this since she couldn't see anyone around her she was in a clearing, not unlike the one she had died in. The night sky around her was equally dazzling, and infront of her was a glowing pool reflecting all the stars in the sky.

As she looked around she saw her reaction in the water and was rather surprised by what she saw what she expected to see was the image of her own face looking back at her, but what greeted insisted her the visage of a small child with softly glowing white hair and bright lavender eyes.

Before she could ponder what was happening or why, she herd the sounds of fighting in the distance. Hearing this she felt a sudden fear and the urge to run.

But just as she was about to turn and run she felt danger behind her. She immediately ducked down as a sword slashed past where her neck would have been.

"FuckShitDamnit! What the hell!" She shouted as another attack hurtled towards her from above.

She dodged to the side to avoid the downward slash, unfortunately she wasn't able to move fast enough as a chunk of flesh was cleaved from her shoulder and blue luminescent blood flowed out.

While this shocked Asteria she didn't have time to think about it as another slash was hurtling towards her head.

Dodging once again, she realized that if she didn't do something fast, she would be killed again as soon as she had woken up!

This thought enraged her as she had only just gotten hope of living again, and she wasn't about to give it up without a fight.

With this thought in her mind she quickly pivoted and tried to trip her assailant, but his leg felt like a brick wall against hers. Dodging backwards she threw a stone towards him with her left hand as a dagger of light appeared in her right hand.

While she hadn't expected this, she didn't stop her counter assault. While the man was off guard deflecting the rock she had thrown, she dashed towards him as her dagger slashed towards his neck.

As he hadn't expected the star child in front of him to fight back, he was shocked to find the dagger had pierced his neck and cut off his airway.

Having just killed someone, Asteria wasn't about to stick around and wait for his friends to show up.

She ran for a short while before becoming tired, and she decided to climb up a tree to keep out of sight.

Once the sounds of fighting had stopped she waited, hidden in the trees until she was certain that the threat had passed.

As soon as she felt safe again, a wave of fatigue washed over her as she fell asleep before she could notice the notification that had appeared in the strange blue window
