Subsequent Fall Part 44.75: Headliner

"Lets get this started!" Adam shouted loudly as Astral and Jaimie were hugging the twins before they left and scaled the wall to the observation deck. As the glass closed the twins pressed their faces against it to watch the fight start and unfold.

"In one half, we have Astral! Our leader and heavy favorite!" Cheers erupted from above as they were happy from the presentation Adam was giving as Astral showed he had no armor on. "And on the other half, our favorite to win our hearts! Jaimie!" He shouted as he hopped backwards away from the middle of the arena.

"The rules are simple, no weapons, no armor, pure punches that aren't pulled!" Adam stood with a flag in his hand. "The first to knock out the opponent or put them in a pin for five full seconds wins!" Adam looked to the two of the participants.

"Do both parties understand?" Adam asked the two as they nodded. "BEGIN AND ENJOY!" Adam pressed a button on the wall as he transferred to the Observatory to watch the fight from the best seat in the house. One that could slow down how fast the movement of the two were.

In real time it was a blur both were just a dash of color, Jaimie's red hair blending in with her emerald green undersuit glowing. Astral's cyan and gold jacket kept his outline from turning into a black blur as the arena started to slowly shake from the building pressure.

Adam couldn't keep up as the observatory slowly started filling up with the various clone generals as well as the dogpound members. Each of which could hardly keep up with the speed from these two.

Each punch thrown was perfectly deflected. Each kick and jab of the hand is blocked or absorbed. These two were the poster of power inside of the alliance. Astral threw a hard haymaker with his left arm as Jaimie shatters it with a counter from her right. She seemed so much stronger from the last time they fought. Astral was taken back for a second as her next kick came blitzing at his face.

He glided his hand down her thigh and jabbed her in the stomach. Not flinching a bit she hops off her left leg and sends a hard kick into his side as she breaks his lower rib. The power is there for her to win this fight, much to the surprise of both of them.

While Astral was on the back foot, Jaimie continued the aggressive nature of her attacks as each punch thrown at him went so fast and was blocked. Even if they both knew who was better at what, it wouldn't matter as they both had the counters to each other.

They both knew neither had the guts or the skill to outwork the other and knock each other out as the punches and kicks stopped. Everyone in the stands were amazed as the two stood in silence for a moment. Each time the spectators blinked, one had the other pinned in a different position. Each with their various styles and each one escaping with their own methods.

Before each of them knew it, they had executed one of each of their positions at least three times over while the other used each countermove effectively. The spectating crowd was still far behind on the slow mode camera as Jaimie pulled out her spear, spinning it so fast she created a wind tunnel as Astral summoned a wooden version of Muramasa.

Once the others saw what happened the hype became real. Jaimie flipped the spear backwards and jabbed Astral directly in the core as he took it with a sting. How ironic, Astral had the tip of his sword pointed at her core as well. The two laughed for a moment as Astral swung his sword to her right side. She twisted her spear and tried to slash where his side was open to be attacked.

But it was blocked in a blink of her eye, even with how fast she can react to the movement around her it was near impossible that he could have blocked it without being just that much faster. "You haven't been holding back?" She asked as the flurry of spear attacks started, each blocked by his wooden replica.

"No, I just haven't gone all out." Astral spoke as his eyes softly glowed. His breathing was rhythmic as she matched him. "All that practice with the breathing, and now you understand what the two siblings were doing in the tournament."

"Much more than you think!" She hit him on the broad side of his right shoulder as he wrapped his arm around the spear and gave her a light kiss on the forehead as he pushed her away forcefully. "Winner tonight gets control in the bedroom?" She questioned as Astral almost vanished from her view, he moved too fast for even her to track.

"See without sight is a lot easier said than done. But," Jaimie was still perfectly blocking each attack that was launched at her despite the speed. "You taught me well." Each blow from his katana was blocked by her spear, her sphere of defensive form was on full display as the others finally got to the second staredown on the slow motion camera. James and Angel have been watching the full speed the entire time.

The attacks came in waves as neither wanted to lose the position of power inside of the bedroom, both knowing that if Astral lost in front of all of them it would be demoralizing, but Jaimie putting up this much of a fight could fill them with unbridled confidence when Jaimie wasn't always their number one option, but in that place, she would be just as devastating as he was.

Jaimie finally slipped up as Astral hooked her leg with his in the stance and pulled it back as she was stretched off balance. Astral got one quick slash on her chest unprotected as her decorative armor snapped in the middle. Still covering everything as Astral paused for a moment. "Wasn't that made to be unbreakable?" Jaimie kicked him back while he was distracted and prepared her ultimate attack.

Winding it up she fired the firebeam directly at Astral as he caught it in his hands and condensed it into a miniature star and a wristband within moments as he was proud of his work. She paused for a moment as he tackled her from behind and pinned her for the ground as she tried to free herself.

"You cheated! You used magic!" She looked up to him as she squirmed.

"So did you. And you used magic first. But isn't the bracelet pretty? If I made it correctly, it should also power up your fire abilities!" Astral slipped it on as the five seconds passed for the two of them. What a fight.

"Now we get to spend hours doing what I want." He kissed her on the top of the head as the two of them dashed off, only Angel and James watching them run off. Once the fight ended for everyone else after two hours of watching, they didn't question where Astral and Jaimie went and figured it was best for the two of them to come out to them and start the next mission. The scent of peace was in the air.
