Astral's Rise Part 41: Invasion

Earth would be spinning in its orbit. From the tea shop the skies were a clear blue. Lucky would walk over to the tea shop jumping up and down as the normal server was there and had his attention. "Astral, what is the matter?" He would draw back confused for a second as then it clicked, he still looked like the man, just couldn't speak.

He pointed to a pen and a notepad. For he needed to write something down. "Okay, usually you are so talkative, what is the matter sir?" Writing as fast as possible on the notepad he prayed that he would be fast enough.

Handing it over to her before he would blitz out the building to try and warn the governments. On the note it read. 'Dear miss, Earth is about to be attacked and I must ask for you to bring all of your staff and family to the warehouse next door. Zeta, a robot will keep you all safe. Love, Lucky.' She reread the note two times before handing it to the owner.

She started to make phone calls to every one of her staff. Being serious with each one. They would all meet up at the tea shop before politely knocking on the door of the warehouse. Inside sensors were making noises that blared and were loud. Zeta turned them off, he and Lucky knew what was needed but were out of time.

The door would be opened quickly by the human sized version of Zeta. "Hello and welcome to our humble abode." Motioning for everyone to come inside. As they entered the day turned to night but not from the turning of the earth. Zeta felt like this was happening too fast.

The sky became filled with darkness, no, it seemed like ships. Without the light, the black, silver and teal designs on the ships were hidden from view. After everyone was inside the warehouse went into full lockdown mode. The defenses and shield fired to life as Zeta brought everyone to the downstairs bunker.

He knew it was time for him to be on the frontlines. Earth was still home for Astral, his place of birth. He saw a weird thing pop up on the battlemap. There was a second fortified location that Astral made. Alexandria.

A dropship came down right next to the warehouse as Zeta emerged from it. The mech was still in the android form as creatures all hopped out from the shuttle. They all rushed the robot who configured his arm into full size.

Sweeping his arm across the aliens he crushed them all. The turrets finally booted online as they shot down the carrier shuttle. Zeta became full sized once more as his railgun was held in one hand. More shuttles were incoming and it would be awhile before Astral came back.

Lucky made it to the white house and stood outside of it. Seeing the sky turn colors it was too late. The white house and all of its rooms were completely empty. He stood confused on why it was so empty.

He just had to be on the offensive, Earth can handle this without Astral's help, right? The sky became filled with transport ships. This was a full scale invasion. Everyone was scrambling around to get air defenses as the Sacramentum seemed to be after one thing only from the planet. Destruction.

The complete annihilation of the human race. They had their only reason. They lost one of their leaders in the battle tournament and they are seeking vengeance. What a way to pay, going for the knees as the creature still stands.

Lucky would not tolerate this. Pulling out a phone like device having Zeta fire up a battlemap. The advanced sonar and radar devices would be pinging each ship coming from space as earth had no way to fight in space. All of the modern fighter jets were keeping up but were heavily outnumbered.

It was just too much. Lucky went to the first dropzone for the troops and would holster up Astral's magnum. Laying fire on each of the monkey's that come out of the transport ships. The larger lizards and smaller peons could be dealt with easily.

Lucky's support fire was the main thing stopping the ground people from being overwhelmed. As the rounds from the magnum echoed across the urban layout the alien

A couple of lizards climbed up behind Lucky trying to get the jump on him. One swung its massive claws down onto him. Lucky might not be the same flesh and bone as Astral but he still has all of the power and skill Astral does.

Firing the magnum he would use it to rocket his elbow into the jaw of the lizard. Pointing the gun down with his foot on the lizard's throat he would finish it off as the others opened fire with their lasers. He would avoid them as they singed his clothes as he closed the gap.

Punching the one so hard it turned into red mist. As the other two pulled out their lightswords to slice Lucky. The two of the lizards come from him at each side, slicing downward. Lucky would roll a dice and get what he wanted. Sliding past them he would pop up from where the dice landed and use the magnum to fire at the two of the lizards point blank. Crippling them both.

Lucky saw them try and crawl away as fighter jets from the Sacramentum swooped in. Lucky rolled the die as it rolled a three. The jets flew by as he only was able to touch three of them. As they flew off the three he grazed exploded. Looking back to the wounded they were trying to climb back down.

He showed no mercy, grabbing a ball from his back pocket he rolled it to the edge of the building before it detonated. Leveling the corner of the building into ash and rubble. Lucky was proud before he realized where his priority was supposed to be.

Lucky would be worried as he looked down, the squad down on the ground wouldn't last forever. He needed to go get help. Grabbing the dice he would lick it and be teleported away.
