4. Skipping Two Grades

When I woke up, I wanted to take a shower, but the water stacked, and it looked muddy. So I decided to go to the outskirts of Evania and bathe in one of those hot springs. I just hope there won't be any people.

After I put on my mask and other items and clothes, I locked my apartment, and in no time, I was already there. I found a good spot to soak in, so I took off my clothes and went in there with my mask since I didn't take it off even when I slept.

But there were no people, so I was quite surprised. Remembering that hot springs would be a good business, too, but nobody ever cared to build a hotel here.

' I recall that this was a hunting ground, and it was not really safe here since you don't know when you would get attacked by a mana beast while taking a stroke here. '

' It's normal to have relationships between men as we can just use mana to adjust our bodies and possibly get pregnant. That's what my dad did. I still can't believe that it was my dad who got pregnant since in royal families, It's mostly the other party that gets pregnant since a royalty can't afford being 9 months in a weakness period. Well then, again assassinating and poisoning us would be close to impossible. I guess that's why my dad was so daring. '

' My brother and I still can't stop laughing about it when the possibility of our family getting attacked by the same thing we specialized in. '

After a while of soaking in the water, I was back up dry and, in my clothes, put my towel back to the space ring when suddenly I heard noises of bushes rustling behind me.

I swiftly turned around and saw the man I was looking for, Astra. ' Is this some cliché cartoon or what. Why him of all people. Wait, did he... '

" I didn't see anything, " he said with a solemn tone.

' Like hell, you pervert ! ' I cursed him in my mind but didn't say anything. I checked around me and found that I didn't leave anything. So I decided to get the fucking hell away from here.

But before I did, i flipped him the middle finger. After that, I used shadow step, and in a split second, I was out of there.

Not long after, I arrived at the buzzing streets of Evania and decided to eat some delicious food. When I was full, I checked my pocket watch, and it showed 7:24.

' I should go register through, I was in no hurry. I was going to the Evania Academy by walking through the back alleys since the main street was full of people shopping. '

I took my sweet time eating the meat on the stick that I had brought. I don't know how it's called, but it's good.

After a while of walking, I exited the back alleys and found myself in front of the open gates of Evania Academy. There were a lot of people here, luckily I finished eating the meat stick because it would get dirty from all the people that bumped into me.

After making my way, through the crowd of chatting people, I entered a separate room where the receptionist was.

" Hello, please call me Lucy. So how may I help you ? " she put on a sweet smile when she saw me entering the room.

" I would like to register."

" I see you already have a mask. Do you have something to hide your m- " I cut her off and said, " I do. "

" Oh, ok. Do you have a name you would like to register under? If not, we can give you a number. "

' Hell no ! I don't want to be part of your cult.' I already thought of a name when she started speaking. " Silent Night "

" Let me check if this name is taken..." After a while of looking at the papers, she said," Your luckey, this name hasnt been taken yet. " I knew this name was free, as I used it in my previous life.

She handed me a few papers I needed to sign. Like not revealing my real identity, always wearing mana gloves and not taking my mask off while I'm at the Academy.

I also expunged the option of staying in school dorms. I filled in that I want to move to the graduating grade. That means I will skip 2 grades, and that means I will be taking 8 written exams.

After I filled in the needed information, i handed her the papers. She was flipping through the papers until she saw that I wanted to skip 2 grades.

" Sir, I think you made a mistake here, " she said, showing me the paper and pointing with her finger where I wrote that I wanted to move to the graduating grade.

" I don't see a problem." After I said that, she quited down. Since it wasn't that abnormal to skip a grade, some people also do it, but it's very rare to see someone go right to the graduating grade.

After that, she gave me directions to a teacher who would take me and the other students who decided to skip the first grade and go right to the second grade.

After I arrived where the teacher was standing, I saw the other five people standing there with a teacher. I didn't pay them any mind and started walking to them. When the teacher saw me, she asked if I was skipping a grade when I said yes she just nodded and took us to a classroom.

I chose to sit in the very back of the class by the window. When I sat down, my attention was taken by the teacher who was standing in front of the board, clapping her hands.

" Greetings everyone, please call me Miss or teacher Hazel. If you need anything please do not hesitate to ask. "

I guess that the name was inspirated by her Hazel eyes that complimented her light brown hair. After she said that she took some papers from the desk and gave one to each of us.

" You will be writing four tests each hour. After every hour, you will get a 30-minute break now start. " When she said that, everyone grabbed a pen and started writing. I didn't waste any time either, and did the same.

It was already afternoon when I finished skipping the 1st grade. I moved to another classroom with another teacher, and there were other students who were also skipping the second grade. I joined them and went through the same process. After it ended, it was already evening.

My test scores will be out tomorrow. So I decided to go back for the day, and I stopped by the marketplace to buy meat on a stick to eat with some bottled up water. That counted as my dinner, and after that, I just went to sleep.
