13. Natas Memories

" What ? " I blured out as I think I might have misheard her.

" Timea agreed and I can give it to you since I'm going to perish soon and if your worried about it not working then don't since a relics special power can still be functional even without the relic " she said.

" Are you sure you want to give it to me ? " I asked as I could guess how much it must mean to her.

" It was her last wish. Besides, I don't want her to be forgotten. " she smiled as she gestured me to follow her.

I stood up and started walking to the only other tunnel leading away besides the one in the pond.

I was following Nata quietly as I was looking around. In no time, we arrived in a fine decorated room with a stand that was extremely familiar to me as it was the one that was holding the relic. But now I could only see a seal that I guess is the one that has been holding Natas soul here for so long.

she flew behind the stand with the seal and said, " Put your hands on it. It will give you the special power that is increased in.... "

" Your soul, but then you will..... "

" dissappear, " she finished the sentence for me.

' But I know what I have to do as she already said that her wish is for Timea not to be forgotten with her when she dies. ' After sorting out my thoughts, I put my hand on the stand where the seal was and closed my eyes as I could feel something new inside me.

It was gratheing in my eyes as well as something else that was gathering in my mind, I concentrated even more. And after a second, even with my eyes closed, I could see light.

It was Natas memories as memories are increased in one's soul, which is also the reason why I was able to retain my memories as the relic send my soul to the past and nothing else.

" Ha ha ha, why is she so weak? " A boy with a grin said while kicking me in the stomach

I fell back, but I quickly got up.

" I guess she still doesn't have enough, huh ? " another boy said as a flame lit up in his palm.

I knew he was about to burn me, so I ran through the thick forest as they were right behind me, flying with their fairy wings that were leaving small trails of dust.

I ran and ran as they were getting closer to me. I was so focused on them that I didn't notice that I tripped and fell head down to the well.

It hurts, it hurts so much I winced in pain as I fell on to the bottom of the well. I looked up and saw the boys that were chasing me.

" She can't fly, and now she doesn't even know how to walk." A sound of laughter left the boys mouth.

" Let's leave her here and hope she will die a slow death." thay all laughed and thankfully left me alone.

I could feel a bit of water on my skin as I was lying down in the pit. I tried to move, but my ankles were twisted. I was happy that the well had close walls so I could climb up. But at this rate, I will really die.

But I had to try. So I attempted to climb the wall while putting less pressure on my twisted ankle, but I still fell as the walls were too slippery.

After I had a few attempts, I could see I was getting nowhere near the exit, and the pain in my ankle just got worse. I sat in the puddle of water while supporting my back by the wells wall.

I closed my eyes as I was losing hope, but then I could hear the wind whistling, and I saw a few holes st the wells opposite wall. I immediately crawled to it and started banging on the wall with one of the rocks that was beside me.

After tiring five minutes, I finally broke the wall. It was dark, and I could barely see what was in front of me. But what more do I have to lose.

After picking up my courage, I crawled through the dark tunnel. The ground was muddy, and my skirt got dirty and was sticking to my skin. It was an uncomfortable feeling, but at last, I can be thankfully that the tunnel is wide enough.

after I got to the other side, I was in a small hole that didn't take much of my strength to climb. The crystal cave walls also helped me see as they were dimly lighting up the soundings.

I was finally having hopes of escaping this place with the newfound hope I stranded up and jumped around on one leg.

I was going through various rooms. Some were filled with treasures, and some were just empty until I stobled upon one room that looked like non other.

The room was circular, and in the middle, there was a round podium that had stairs going on it from every side. on top of the podium was a stand that had an hourglass that was put sideways.

I was mesmerized by its beauty. I came closer to it and attempted to touch it when I heard a voice echo in my mind. " Mmm, who is it that woke me up ? " a beautifully brilliant voice said.

I was startled and fell on the steps that were next to the podium. Luckily, I was fast enough to react, and I put my hands out to stop myself from kissing the ground. After that, I turned side ways and sat on the stairs.

" Who are you ? " I asked while facing the door since I expect someone to come in. " I'm the hourglass behind you, " the beautiful voice said again.

I turned sideways on the stairs and looked at the hourglass. " How does an hourglass like you talk ? " I didn't understand

" Simple I'm an artifact, " she replied. " Do all artifacts talk ? " I don't know much about artifacts as it is human matters, but I never heard of one talking before. " No, not all of us, only those that are powerful and had been around for a long time can talk, "

" Now let me ask a question, child, what are you doing here, and why are you so injured ? "

I didn't know why she asked me such a question. It was new for me. Thinking about all the events that let me here, I couldn't hold it any longer, and tears started rolling down my cheeks.

" Oh, I shouldn't have asked that please don't cry ! " the voice said. I weeded in silence for a while, and then I decided to reply to her as I always wanted someone who could listen to my worries.
