11. Preparing For A Long Journey

It didn't take me long to come back, I took a quick trip to the hot springs before going back to my apartment and catching up on my sleep.

I woke up when the sun was already in the middle of the sky, and I even doble ceked with my time bracelet and discovered that it was indeed lunch.

I dressed up as I went to get my breakfast or lunch well anyway I got dumplings. I stayed at the marketplace for a while, getting supplies like potions and a lot of food and water. A lot of money was spent, so I would occasionally pickpocket. I can't help it, it become a habit.

After I was done, I went to a good portal, but before I passed, I showed my student ID. After I was allowed to enter, they handed me a map of the area. I took it and entered the gate. I was greeted by a sight of mountains, it was a bit cold but nothing unbareble.

I explored the area a bit, but it didn't take long before I was attacked by beasts. It was a good training as my body started getting stronger, and I could feel it.

Unlike the gate that I entered before, this one had a few safe zones on the map, so I was able to have some naps.

The location of the previous gate i entered was sold to some merchants. The gate wasn't as good as the other gates since its environment was shit but it still fetched me some good money.

I also started to train my father's gift. It was the little shapeshift bloodline I had in me. I chose to shapeshift to the same animals as I did before regressing.

The animals I chose were a black panter, a crow, and a betta fish. Since I only have very little genes from my father, then 3 forms are my limit, and they aren't even full forms, but I don't mind even if it's not a full transformation it gives me enough boost.

A full transformation is when my body completely turns into a black panter, but a half transformation is when only some parts of my body change into the animal form.

It also premites me to enhance some of my natural abilities like hearing strength, agility, speed, and even regeneration. It all depends on the form you chose.

I picked these animals as they covered all fields, the sky, the land, and the sea. I still miss the feeling when I was able to sore to the sky with my wings, it cut short the travel time.

This mountain range has strong winds, so it's perfect to train flying here. After a few days of continuous failure of getting crow wings, I finally did it today.

It would look majestic if it didn't hurt like hell. The wings emerged from my back, ripping it, and my body is not used to this every time I summon my wings blood splatters out too.

I firstly practiced in lover heights because the further up I go the mountain, the worst the wind gets. It didn't take me long to fly with them, but I still need to practice a lot as I run out of stamina so quickly. If I don't increase my stamina, I can forget about traveling faster.

After almost a month of hunting chaos beasts and training with my wings, I improved a lot. Well, I'm nowhere near as good as I was before I regressed, but I can improve later as the lever is showing me its time to go.

I went back to the gate while hunting a few chaos beasts I encountered on my path, and it didn't take long to have the portal in my sight. After checking that I have everything I went thought the portal was greeted by the warm breeze on my skin.

I have been on the mountain for far too long and got used to the colder weather there, so it was a nice feeling. In the mountain range gate, there were only cold waters, so I couldn't be in there for long if I didn't want to catch the flu.

So the first thing I did was head to the hotsprings. After getting naked only leaving my earnings, voice changer, and the mask, I slowly got into the hot spring. I took a deep breath and dived in while holding my mask.

I stayed in the spring for a long time. Every move made my muscles hurt. After I was done, I went back to my apartment and made my timer go off at lunch.

Next day....

I woke up to the mana disruption in my breaclet, I dressed up in my usual attire and went to the streets to grab a few dumplings to eat.

When I was done, I went to the Academy as the test I in the afternoon. I found my class, and it looks like everyone was already here. I saw Astra and Flake sitting there with other students I don't recognize.

I went to the very back seat next to the window and someone was sitting in it already but when the girl saw me she stood up and said " He Hello my name is Mire nice to meet you, do you wanna si sit here ? "

' She was stuttering. Was she nervous ? ' I thought, but I didn't let her wait for too long as I replied " Yes, thank you very much. " I smiled at her. Even from behind her mask, I could see her blush.

' Did I get a fan club or something ? ' I didn't look at her for too long as I sat, and the girl Mira found another seat to sit on.

The teacher that was overseeing us today was Miss Hazel, who I know. She greeted us and explained what we should and shouldn't do and the usual. After she was done, she gave all of us the exam papers.

Like always, I was the one to hand back my papers first. I exited the classroom and went to the marketplace. I brought food and a lot of water, all the necessities. I didn't buy much, but not too little either since I need a lot of space for the things I will find in the ruin I'm heading in.

I was pickpocketing on my way home as the loss of money hurt me. I love money, sweets, and comfort. Ah, right, sleep, too. Sleep is something like my hobby. I always do it when I have the time.

Tomorrow I'm going to go to the ruin that's lost in time. It's going to be quite a long journey. Knowing that I went to sleep.
