Chapter 11

As Ash left the council room and left news of him leaving the role of warden quickly spread throughout the whole of the evil syndicate as well as the general public.

"You did the right thing partner" a voiced echoed inside Ash's head

"...." Ash remained silent waiting for the unknown voice to continue

" We knew that the council had spies inside and if we stayed there we wouldn't be able to proceed on as every move we made would be already figured out " the voice continued

" So do you have any idea who it may be ? " Questions Ash

" I read all their auras and didn't notice anything unusual they were either concealing their aura or some elders didn't attend it " replied the voice

" Hmmm that makes it tricky " replied Ash as he thought

" But if I was to say I suspect 3 people " replied the voice

"....." Ash waited

" Agnus who is in-charge of the finance within the council Rorak the head of the intel gathering unit and I hate to say it but the ... Council head " replied the voice

" What makes you say that ?" Questions Ash as he too was curious if such a bold statement

" Think about it who holds the most power within the council and why weren't we able to get any info when we searched because the council head wanted it that way but this may be me just overthinking" replied the voice

" No don't worry I appreciate your thoughts and I agree it does seem suspicious when I think about it " replied Ash as he stopped dead in his track

" Hey lucario when was the last time the syndicate attacked the council ? " Questioned Ash

" 2 years ago and why are you asking this out of the blue  ?" asked Lucario

" I guess it's not only 1 spy it may be around 10 or maybe more " replied Ash

" That's unreasonable even 1 spy alone has a hard time getting in forget about 10 " replied Lucario

" During the last attack how many people were taken hostage ? " Questioned Ash.

" Around 50 staffs with 4 being elders and 10 being guards and the rest were just employees" replied Lucario

".... Their plan was never to capture the outpost it was to plant seeds for their future isn't it weird they attacked the outpost but did not try taking the relic  ?" Questioned Ash

Lucario pondered and realised what Ash meant

" I'll have the list of the people who were taken as hostage as well as their transition history by today " replied Lucario as he dansehd off

As Ash was traveling down the mountain road at the middle of the night as he looked up he let out the words " I hope you're doing fine buddy " as for a brief moment he walked down memory lane before footsteps were heard behind him.

Ash knew whoever they were they didn't come with good intentions

" I heard the great warden left the safety of the council ? " Replied the shadowy figure

" ..." Ash remained quite as he tried feeling the aura around him

"5 no... 9 people close by  " Ash thought

" Are you a mute ?" Questioned

" Ohhhh let me guess you didn't expect a trap did you Hahahahahah " laughed the man maniacally

" ANSWER ME ARE YOU HAPPY THE SYNDICATE HUNTED YOU HAHA OUR SPIES IN THE COUNCIL TOLD US WHERE YOU WERE HAHAHA  Isn't it funny how the people you fought and bled for sold you out " said as an evil grin grew on his face as he started coming closer to Ash

" ... " Ash looked around the corner as all 9 shadows emerged from the clearing clearly aiming to kill him as they reeked of killing intent

" Ahhhh I guess meowth caught you tongue well goodbye Warden " the man said as he along with 2 other dashed towards him with daggers

" .... It is funny that the people who work for you .... Send you to me " said Ash as he looked at the approaching figures

" What do you mean ? " Questioned the man as he felt the ground beneath them rumble

And before they even realised it 2 pair of metal arms as one metal arm made a gapping hole inside one of the Assassin's and the other hand snapped the neck of the Assassin who lunged at his master and the third assassin who tried retreating from the beast that emerged out of the ground he was squashed into a bloody mess from the beast iron tail and as the clouds cleared away from the moon right infornt of them stood Aggroon whose white scales were glimmering with red blood as he protectively stood infront of Ash with a much higher killing intent coming off him as he eyed all the Assassin who tried to harm his master .

" You see I knew you were coming but I didn't bother because my Aggroon has really some bent up anger inside him with your guild so I'll let him have his fun " replied Ash as a sadistic smile grew on his face

And at the bright moonlight night at a certain forest loud cries of agony rang through which send shivers down everybody who heard
