[Cannon Event]
Thor noticed Laufey and immediately shouted with his warhammer, "Laufey, fight with me and let me see if you are worthy of being the King of Jotunheim!"
"Are you crazy?" Fandral said quickly. "Loki, contact Heimdallr!"
Loki hesitated for a moment but then nodded and began casting spells to contact Heimdallr in Asgard.
Laufey approached on an ice bear, and the battle paused as the surrounding frost giants saluted, "Your Majesty."
Laufey nodded, then looked at Thor. "Asgardian, did you come to Jotunheim to die?"
"I'm Thor, son of Odin," Thor replied, obviously dissatisfied with Laufey's vague address.
Laufey said, "Of course I know who you are."
Thor then asked, "Why did you kidnap my brother?"
Laufey was silent for a moment, his eyes unconsciously moving to Loki before quickly looking away. "We didn't kidnap your brother. We just invited him to Jotunheim," he said slowly.
"Invited?" Thor sneered. "Do you think I'm a child?"
Laufey sarcastically replied, "Aren't you a child? A young one who likes fighting, using force, and proving himself a man?"
Thor's face showed anger as he tightly gripped Mjölnir, almost smashing it at Laufey.
Laufey continued, "I can take this as a misunderstanding and let you leave Jotunheim, just as Odin released the frost giant who helped Thanos before."
"Your Majesty, we can't just let them go!" said the Scar Frost Giant. "He killed so many of us!"
Laufey maintained his tone, "Starting a war lightly will make more people die. Odin and I both understand this."
"Come on, son of Odin, while I am willing to let you go."
Thor was silent, his anger not subsiding, hesitating whether to continue.
Loki took the opportunity to persuade, "Thor, we should go back. We can only continue the battle between Jotunheim and Asgard."
However, the Scar Frost Giant sneered, "Go back to milk, little princess of Asgard."
Loki muttered, knowing trouble was coming.
Sure enough, upon hearing this taunt, Thor immediately stopped hesitating and threw Mjölnir, hitting the Scar Frost Giant.
"Boom!"
The Scar Frost Giant raised his ice axe to block, but the ice axe shattered, and the battle resumed.
Thor stretched out his hand, and Mjölnir, flying back, knocked down several frost giants before returning to his grip.
"Boom--"
Thunder rumbled in the sky as electric snakes danced wildly.
Thor swung the warhammer violently, and a thick bolt of lightning fell from the sky straight at Laufey.
As the King of the Frost Giants, Laufey quickly condensed an ice shield over his head, covering himself and the surrounding frost giants.
The thunder landed and bombarded the ice shield, creating an amazing sound and light show.
Despite its impressive force, Thor's blow failed to defeat Laufey's ice shield, not even causing significant damage.
This was far from what Thor expected, and he couldn't help but show frustration.
"Humph!"
Laufey snorted coldly and clenched his fingers.
The ice shield above immediately turned into many ice blades, which rotated and shot at Thor one after another.
At this moment, the Rainbow Bridge fell from the sky.
In the dazzling light, Forseti appeared instantly, and fiery flames swept from his hands.
"Boom boom boom!"
The ice blades hit the flames and exploded, turning into mist.
The flames then rolled back into Forseti's hands, transforming into a spiked flaming hammer, the Saffron Warhammer.
"Forseti, the sun god..."
Laufey's face darkened, his voice filled with hatred.
His hatred for Forseti was as deep as his hatred for Odin. Forseti had killed his eldest son, making their enmity mortal.
Moreover, Forseti had escaped from him more than once.
Every time Laufey thought he had killed Forseti, he was wrong, and Forseti would always return stronger.
Compared with Odin, who was waning, Forseti, an enemy on the rise, made Laufey feel more threatened.
"Stay safe, Your Majesty Laufey."
Forseti placed the Sulfuron Warhammer on the ground and spoke calmly.
Laufey remained gloomy. "Are you here to start a war officially?"
"That's for His Majesty Odin to decide. I can't make that decision and have no interest in it. I just want to take them back," Forseti said.
Laufey asked, "They killed so many frost giants. Do you think you can just take them back?"
"Otherwise? Jotunheim and Thanos have not been investigated yet," Forseti said lightly.
"If you insist on fighting, Asgard will not back down. At least I have the confidence to win another war."
Laufey was silent.
Emotionally, he didn't want to admit it, but he could no longer threaten Forseti.
Not only that, but after defeating Thanos' forces, Forseti had become one of the most prominent legion commanders in the universe.
No one doubted that the sun god could organize another fierce war and defeat any strong enemy like Thanos.
If Asgard didn't have the goddess of death and the sun god, Jotunheim might not fear war with the dying Odin, who was nearing his end.
But now, a war would likely end in a disastrous defeat for Jotunheim.
"Asgard and Jotunheim have been at peace for thousands of years, and no one wants to break it unless absolutely necessary," Forseti said.
Laufey finally said, "Maybe."
Forseti turned to look at Thor and the others. Thor immediately said, "The Frost Giant wants to take Loki, we—"
Forseti interrupted, "Don't say it. Let's go back."
Thor froze for a moment, and then the Rainbow Bridge came down again, instantly bringing them back to Asgard's teleportation hall.
"You're too impulsive this time, Thor, breaking into Jotunheim and even confronting Laufey!" Heimdallr spoke, a rare note of accountability in his voice, leaving Thor a little overwhelmed.
Thor defended, "But they took Loki. Do you want me to do nothing?"
Heimdallr looked at Loki. "Did the frost giants catch you?"
"Uh," Loki hesitated, "This... maybe not exactly."
"What happened?"
Loki quickly thought. "Actually, I lost to a frost giant in the casino of the ignorant, and I had to agree to his conditions and go to Jotunheim to help him solve a magic problem."
This statement sounded reasonable, though both Forseti and Heimdallr thought it was fake.
Thor said, "This is obviously a scam. They just wanted to take Loki. These despicable frost giants!"
Then he looked at Forseti again. "My brother-in-law, I think you should have been tougher and fought Jotunheim directly. Asgard has no need to fear them."
"They never wanted to keep the peace. We should completely defeat the Frost Giants and root them out!"
Forseti remained unmoved. "I said that this is not up to me. Everything can only be decided after His Majesty Odin wakes up."
