Chapter: Enchantment: Rock Mark
Entering the experience space, the scene before Forseti transformed into a forest and grassland. A huge rock puppet stood not far away, its body moving slightly as it noticed him.
Forseti remained vigilant as the holy light enveloped him, covered by a pale golden glow.
**Holy Blessing!**
The rock puppet threw a flying stone with incredible speed, but its turning speed was relatively slow. Before the two could engage, it was challenging to avoid the puppet's thrown stones. Without divine protection, Forseti knew he would likely be killed in a single blow.
Just as the Divine Protection spell activated, the rock puppet swung its arm, and a fist-sized rock shot out.
**Holy Light Strike!**
Forseti roared and swung his warhammer with all his strength. Holy light and flames intertwined and erupted, colliding fiercely with the flying boulder.
"Boom!"
The boulder shattered, sending gravel flying in all directions. Forseti staggered but quickly regained his balance, rushing towards the rock puppet at full speed.
The rock puppet swung again, sending another large rock flying. However, as the distance between them had greatly shortened, Forseti managed to dodge the blow.
Immediately, he swung his warhammer, launching a **Judgment** attack.
The energy warhammer, composed of light and fire, shot straight at the rock puppet's leg.
"Boom!"
The rock puppet, lacking any evasion awareness, couldn't dodge the attack. Its bulky body didn't allow for flexible movements, and its leg crumbled under the impact.
However, unlike a clay puppet, the rock puppet's body was much more durable. One attack wasn't enough to destroy its leg, merely creating a gap.
As rubble fell, other parts of the rock puppet quickly replenished, and its injured knee rapidly recovered.
By the time Forseti got close, the rock puppet's knee had fully healed, demonstrating its incredible resilience.
The rock puppet swung a heavy fist towards Forseti's head.
Forseti dodged, sliding on the ground with his running momentum. He avoided the punch while his warhammer swept across and struck the puppet's knee.
**Holy Light Strike!**
"Boom!"
With another heavy blow, the rock puppet's knee, not fully recovered, shattered. The massive creature lost its balance and fell to the ground.
Forseti quickly moved around to the side, delivering another **Holy Light Strike** to the other leg of the rock puppet.
One attack wasn't enough to break the knee, so Forseti struck again.
"Boom!"
Just as the rock puppet's other leg broke, it threw a stone from its hand. Forseti couldn't dodge and was hit in the chest.
The impact was immense, causing Forseti to lose his breath and fall to the ground. He struggled to recover but eventually released a healing spell on himself.
The rock puppet's recovery rate was much faster than Forseti's healing. By the time he managed to recover, the puppet's legs were fully restored.
However, its size had significantly decreased, now resembling an average human.
Forseti gasped for breath and stood up, quickly restarting the Divine Protection spell.
Having challenged the rock puppet several times, he was familiar with its properties.
A rock puppet's size was proportional to its strength and inversely proportional to its speed.
Once the rock puppet shrank significantly, it couldn't kill Forseti with a single blow from a thrown stone. But its actions also became more agile, making it harder for Forseti to dodge its attacks.
Sure enough, the rock puppet threw another stone. Forseti failed to dodge and was hit on the shoulder. Though painful, the Holy Protection spell kept him safe. He continued to approach the puppet, swinging his warhammer to break one of its arms.
Forseti knew that destroying the rock puppet's head was useless; previous battles had shown it was merely decorative.
Engaging closely, Forseti managed to destroy the puppet's arms while receiving another punch in return.
Then, he continuously attacked, breaking its legs and arms alternately as they tried to recover.
The rhythm formed, and after a series of exchanges, the rock puppet's body shrank until it was less than half the height of a person.
"End it!"
"Boom!"
Forseti delivered the final blow, and the rock puppet's body exploded into smoke, a page falling to the ground.
"Finally!"
Forseti sighed and sat down, exhausted.
Defeating a fourth-level monster brought him one step closer to overcoming Hogg.
After a brief rest, Forseti picked up the dropped list.
**Obtained: Devotion 55.17, and Enchantment: Rock Mark.**
Rock Mark? Forseti was intrigued and opened his holy book to check.
**Enchantment: Rock Mark**
**Description: Adds magic to an item, transforming rocks into rock puppets for the caster to control. The caster must provide energy to maintain the rock puppet, or it will disintegrate.**
**Additional: Very low probability of creating rock life.**
Transforming rocks into rock golems! Forseti recalled the recent battle and became excited. This enchantment would allow him to summon powerful allies anywhere!
He quickly exited the experience space, eager to enchant his weapon, Verrigan's Fist.
However, he paused, realizing the Fist was already enchanted. Could it be enchanted again?
Forseti decided to seek advice from Scala.
"Master Scala."
"Yes?" Scala responded without looking up from his work.
"I have a question. If a weapon has already been enchanted, can it be enchanted again?"
"No," Scala replied. "Well... generally not. There are rare exceptions."
With his answer, Forseti thanked Scala and left.
Since multiple enchantments weren't possible, Forseti decided to enchant another item.
He had a staff resembling a spear taken from looters. Rated as a fourth-level item by the holy book, it was of the same quality as the enchanted Verrigan's Fist. The looter had indeed misused a valuable weapon.
Forseti enchanted the staff. Compared to the flame weapon enchantment, the rock mark enchantment was quick and simple.
With the enchanted staff in hand, Forseti rushed outside and found a secluded spot with several rocks.
"This will do."
He selected a large rock, held the staff, and poured holy light into it.
"Come forth, rock golem!"
"Crash..."
The boulder cracked and gravel surged, forming into a humanoid shape. Faint holy light emanated from the cracks, resembling a rock paladin.
A Holy Light version of the rock golem! Forseti's excitement grew.
He envisioned leading an army of rock paladins, ready to crush Jotunheim and its Frost Giants.
