Second Awakening

Inside the sun.

Forseti was surrounded by endless light and heat, his limbs stretched out, floating and undulating in the flames of the sun, resembling driftwood on the sea.

Despite opening his limbs, his body remained tense; he clenched his fists nervously, clearly enduring the intense heat of the sun.

After a while, he adjusted his posture and gazed deeper into the sun, deep in thought with a furrowed brow.

Over the past few years, Forseti had entered and exited the sun hundreds of times. The power of the flames seemed to have improved somewhat, but the barrier preventing his second-order power still persisted like a thin layer of paper.

This barrier was thin yet baffling, leaving him uncertain when it would truly be pierced.

He couldn't help but think, perhaps he hadn't ventured deep enough into the sun?

While he had delved quite deep compared to his initial attempts, caution had prevented him from pushing his limits.

Fate is stingy... Progress in nearly all domains often demands extreme pressure; divine power breakthroughs are no exception.

Like Thor in Thor Ragnarok . He had personally witnessed devastated diops awaken his power

After all, although divine power consisted of only three stages, each step was akin to crossing a chasm.

The vast majority of Aesir never awakened their divine powers in their lifetimes, and those who did often experienced only one awakening, with very few achieving multiple awakenings.

Perhaps without pushing himself, a breakthrough would indeed remain distant.

After a moment of contemplation, Forseti made a firm decision. Gritting his teeth, he followed the gravitational pull, descending deeper into the heart of the sun.

He had to try it atleast once , hoping his conjecture is true.

As he descended further, stellar energies became increasingly palpable. The searing solar matter churned like stormy waves, repeatedly crashing against his form.

Some of Forseti's garments began to smolder. Though tailored from fire-resistant Asgardian materials, they proved inadequate against the sun's ferocious heat.

Thankfully, his dragon leather armor and underclothes held strong. Crafted from fire dragon skin, the former boasted innate flame resistance, while the latter had been sanctified.

Most of his attire turned to ash, leaving Forseti flushed and scorched, resembling metal forged in a furnace.

After a while,

He felt as though his very being might melt, a cry of pain escaping him as he shook with fists clenched.

Simultaneously, the sun's power intensified, penetrating every pore, pulsing with his divine flame within.

Forseti sensed a deep, secretive aspect of himself being stirred and awakened, as though on the brink of bursting forth.

Deeper he pressed.

He had already activated Divine Protection Technique and King's Blessing. Yet, as he continued deeper, he also invoked the Fury of Retribution, fortifying his resilience further.

The enigmatic awakening within him grew stronger, surging like tides against the shore, alternating between violent peaks and subdued swells.

Forseti's fiery form trembled, his will scorched by the sun, its intensity branding his very essence.

Deeper!

...

Earth, Nepal.

Nierdi sat upon a chair, eyes fixed on Kalulu beside her. "I'll be departing for a while."

"Where to?" Kalulu inquired.

"The universe; Earth holds little more to captivate me," Nierdi remarked.

Kalulu frowned. "In your astral form?"

"Of course. How else could I leave Earth?" Nierdi replied. "Are you certain you won't attempt the spell?"

"No. I won't dabble in the 'Dark God Book'. It spells disaster, harboring unseen dangers at best," Kalulu adamantly shook her head. "Nierdi, I implore you—cease your studies. Those spells are fraught, and I sense ominous forebodings."

Nierdi remained silent. Crossing her arms, a faint light flickered around her form, and her ethereal spirit, barely noticeable to others, departed her body.

In her astral state, she moved with astounding speed, almost teleporting as she departed Kathmandu, Nepal, and Earth in a blink.

Nierdi traversed the cosmos, gazing upon the vast expanse of stars. Her eyes gleamed with wonder. "The universe..."

She surveyed Earth, a blue orb in the distance, oceans, mountains, and rivers visible, shrouded by clouds.

Then, her gaze turned sunward, to the mightiest, brightest, and hottest entity in the galaxy.

In size, radiance, and heat, the sun reigned supreme. Celestial bodies such as Earth seemed mere pebbles in comparison, dim and diminutive.

Nierdi approached the sun. In her astral form, she could navigate the sun's divine power with ease, unencumbered as she floated around it.

However, all things have their limits. At a certain threshold, even the soul felt the sun's scorch.

After a brief sojourn deeper within the sun, Nierdi began to sense its intense heat and decided to withdraw.

Yet, in that moment, her eyes narrowed. She spotted a scene that left her awestruck—a young, blond figure seemingly ablaze within the sun!

Forseti, engulfed by raging flames, trembled violently. Fire erupted from his eyes, mouth, nose, and pores.

At that moment, he resembled molten steel, on the verge of liquefaction.

Forseti had pushed himself to the brink, his mind almost consumed by the inferno, his head feeling less like a brain and more like molten magma.

Holy Shield!

Finally, he activated the Holy Shield technique.

After invoking the Holy Shield, Forseti hesitated momentarily, gritting his teeth. Rather than retreat from the ordeal, he chose to absorb the sun's power actively. As Holy Shield protected him from all negative effect, he pulled massive amount of sun's flames within himself with all his being and mastery of fire.

Previously, he had absorbed solar energy passively—a daunting feat in itself.

Now, actively absorbing, the sun's power surged to unprecedented levels, undergoing a qualitative transformation.

The sun's formidable might, initially enough to reduce Forseti to ash, now met the Holy Shield's defense, leaving him unscathed.

Though the Divine Shield's fragments were nearly depleted within seconds,

The sun's power amassed rapidly, reaching a terrifying zenith.

This unprecedented surge in solar energy unleashed a tempest within Forseti, amplifying his divine flame to unprecedented levels.

"Boom!"

A thunderous roar reverberated in Forseti's ears. The shackles binding his flame power shattered, akin to a dormant volcano erupting with titanic force!

Second Awakening!
