24. Bonus chapter: before he goes (part4)

"hmmm, I wish he would have at least given me an idea of how to do this before running off"😒

In a very decorated kitchen,there can be seen a girl, dressed in a maid attire, having a white hair and seems to be mad at someone

"hey Winter!!!"

she called out

and as she did a red haired young lad who also has the servants dress code on and seemed to be in his teens came out of a door by the corner of the kitchen

"yeah sis?"

this boy who seemed like he hadn't slept in a while is no other than the brother to this maid

"would you stop taking a cat's nap in the storeroom and come help me out?"

"it would be really nice if you could help with the dishes, you know!!!"

the white haired girl said pouting her face

"no can't do summer,I need to get my beauty sleep or I will end up looking like sir Mike, besides I have been working non stop for the past 3 days now,the least I deserve is a nice nap"

the red haired lad said while holding his head

"huh?"

he then turned to his face to the side looking at the entrance to the kitchen

"huh?, what is it?"

The girl whose name is Summer asked

"someone's coming"

he said as he walked closer to the door

"fast"

no sooner had he completed his sentence when a blue-red haired boy passed through the door,it was no other than Ascimos

Ascimos POV:

"ugh...ugh...ugh"

|.... I finally made it...|

"ugh...wait ,just give me a sec....|

I said raising my index finger in front of summer and winter while breathing heavily

"Good morning sir Ascimos,what a pleasure to meet your acquaintance"

both Summer and winter bowed down their head towards me as they greeted

"phew.."

I said having recovered from running what seemed like a marathon

"no..the pleasures all mine"

I began looking around,in search of sir withward

"umm, please excuse me if I may be disturbing you Summer,but were's Uncle withward "

I asked looking at him

"sorry young master...I mean sir Ascimos but again my name's winter she's summer"

Summer,I mean winter said with a disappointed face as he points towards his sister

"oh ,I am sorry,your hair colour always confuses me"

I said feeling embarrassed

"it's alright,how parents said they did it,so we would know we are always close to each other"

Summer said

"so how many we help you Sir Ascimos?"

she continued

"please,I would like to know...wait are you doing the dishes,I asked"

looking at the the sink

"why yes I am,care to join me?"

Summer asked as she put a smile on her face

"ummm,no thanks,well...."

|...on second thought,it wouldn't hurt and besides it would help use up some time while waiting for uncle Withward,but first....|

"is uncle Withward coming to the kitchen?"

I asked winter

"yeah,he said he would be back in a jiffy"

|....somewhat two hours ago that is,well can't say since I was fast asleep at the time...|

"that's great,I said in excitement, alright I can help a bit"

after saying that I went straight to the sink drew up my sleeve and began washing,and in about 10 minutes I had the whole dishes washed which left not just only Summer but also winter in amazement

"wow,no one told me you as good with dishes as you are handsome"

Summer said as she ruffled my head

"if you could help with the dishes like this ,I won't be hurt seeing your face more often in the kitchen"

|....wow, I guess all those time living by myself and doing my chores on my own didn't go to waste after all....|

"yeah she's right,the way you washed is like as if you are not new to washing dishes,at least far better than Subaru that is..."

Winter added

"oh yeah that's right .."

but before I could complete my sentence I heard a familiar voice

"now,now Sir Ascimos,let Summer and Winter do their jobs quietly"

it was uncle Withward

"oh uncle Withward,your the man I wanted to see, please did aunt Rachel give you any piece of card or paper?"

I asked as I looked around his clothes , looking for a piece of paper

"no nothing if the sort"

he replied

"I see..."

|....I guess the people who are going to play don't have any cards...|

"please may I also ask ,if you have a way of like sensing with your magic what different people have in their dress"

I asked ,but later realized I should have phrased that well

"pfft"

I turned back to see summer holding back her laughter and winter had gone to the store room to take a quick nap 😴

"oh I am sorry I meant"

I tried correcting myself when sir withward said

"don't worry I understand what you meant,and I don't"

upon hearing that I felt a little bit disappointed and decided to take my leave

"well thanks anyway"

I waved Sir withward and Summer good bye as I left the kitchen

"but,I do know someone who does,"

"what?, who?!!!"

I asked in excitement

"keep it down please!!! some people are trying to sleep here"

Winter said from the storeroom

on a lower tone I said

"who is it?"

"let's discuss this outside the kitchen shall we? ...we don't want to disturb Summer"

and like that sir withward and I went out of the kitchen, and stood some few meters away from the door

"so...I can take you to that person ,but you would have to close your eyes for a sec,can you do that?"

He asked

"yeah, alright,why not"

I said trying to meet this person as soon as possible and I immediately closed my eyes, I them heard some whispers of what seemed to be incantations ,but then I realized something, important,I hadn't asked Summer and winter,if they were given any cards but before I could say anything I felt a warmth and a ray of light pass through me and as soon as I opened my eyes , I saw myself in dark dusty room

"what the?"

I

"who's there?"

I heard a voice coming from a side of the room and immediately I had a light flashes Infront of my eyes

"who are you and what are you doing in my Library"

|....so this is the person I am supposed to meet?....|

Meanwhile.....

"hey 👋 uncle Withward"

Subaru the new guest of the kitchen has just arrived
