The Voice Named Jay

"Listen I'm talking to you. What's your name? How should I call you? I mean, I can't just call you the voice that is stuck in my head, for God's sake," Blake exclaimed.

The voice replied, "I have no name, so you'll have to assign me one. As for who I am? Honestly, I'm not sure who I am. I definitely know that I'm stuck with you. And there are others like me. It's more of a symbiotic kind of relationship that we have with your kind. The ultimate goal is to get stronger, and it is beneficial for both you and me. However, I believe that my role in this relationship is to be your guide. I'm not sure what I can tell you because I don't know anything myself. When you think about it, it's kind of funny. But I think I have a few abilities. One is the ability to sense my own kind. And two is the ability to sense monsters that are spread in this region, and that is why I have guided you here. It's a relatively safe place. So you get the two things that I can do. I believe I would be able to do much more if you were stronger. Right now, your current stats are, let's just say, pathetic. I mean, they are so bad that I can't even access them. Fear not. Our predicament lies in the world itself. Right, right, right. I'm sorry for distracting you. You were going to name me, right?"

"Yeah," said Blake with a disappointed and weird look on his face. "Hmm. Let me think. Let me think. I don't know. I think I would call you J."

"And J, I think the reason that you were not able to access my stats was not that I'm weak, it was because I did not allow you to. You see, I don't know how to say this. I can't formulate this feeling that I have. But now I'm allowing you to. Now I want you to check my status. So you should be able to show me my stats. J, show me my stats."

As the words escaped his mouth, Blake suddenly felt his vision blur, and panic began to set in. But that panic was soon turned into curiosity as he heard the voice of J. Then, Blake was able to see his stats.

"Hmm," said Blake with a disappointed look on his face. "I mean, come on, I'm not that pathetic, you know?"

"I don't think there's a role for questioning," said Jay in amusement.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

All right. So, Jay. Do me a favor and start explaining to me. For each of the following stats that you have shown, me stand for.

  "Sure thing, Blake," said Jay. "Let me explain each of these stats in detail for you."

Strength: This stat represents your physical power and ability to exert force. It affects how much damage you can deal in combat and how heavy objects you can lift. With a strength of 5, you have some physical capability, but it's not exceptional.

Vitality: Vitality measures your overall health and resilience. It determines how much damage you can withstand before succumbing to injuries or exhaustion. A vitality score of 3 suggests that you have a lower threshold for physical strain and need to be cautious in battles.

Agility: is the ability to move swiftly and easily. It involves being quick and nimble in your movements, allowing you to react and change directions rapidly. 

Stamina: on the other hand, refers to your endurance and ability to sustain physical or mental effort over an extended period of time. It's all about pushing your limits and not giving up, even when you're tired or in pain. 

Intelligence: Intelligence signifies your mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and overall cognitive ability. With an intelligence score of 7, you possess above-average mental capabilities and can strategize effectively. It may come in handy for solving puzzles or making complex decisions.

Affinity: Affinity is a measure of your connection to magical or supernatural forces. It reflects your ability to harness and manipulate these energies. Unfortunately, you currently have no affinity, which means you can't access or use magic or supernatural abilities.

Companions: This stat indicates the number of allies or companions you have in this world. Right now, you have none, but as you progress, you may gather allies who can aid you in your quests or battles.

Slaves: Slaves represent individuals who are bound to your will, typically through magical or contractual means. At the moment, you have no slaves, but it's not necessarily a desirable aspect of your character.
