"Haa…" Ren released a long sigh as he do a couple of stretches.
Yesterday, he spent the whole night practicing and refining his technique, and exploring the limits of his newfound abilities. As the first light of dawn fell, Ren felt exhausted but exhilarated.
Despite his fatigue, his will remained firm, he is not only doing this for himself but to save the life of his precious younger brother. Therefore, no amount of fatigue is enough to discourage him.

His faced beamed with a satisfied smile upon seeing his new attributes, as of right now, he only know that the ranking for cultivation manuals and gears are ranked in ascending order of strength: Common, uncommon, rare and epic!
"I wonder what the rank above epic is" Ren thought as he walked towards the direction of the shamanic elder's place.
He stepped into the building and found the old man still on the same chair before a desk, still fast asleep…
"Uh…" Ren hesitated seeing how good the old man is enjoying his sleep and snoring, but nonetheless, he decided to wake him up, "Hello senior"
"Eh?" The old man groggily opened his eyes scanning the room before fixing them on Ren, "Huh? You again?"
From his tone, Ren knew he is annoyed and even realized he is being treated as a nuisance! But what could he do? He, as the disciple must always bear with his master's attitude.
"Yea… I've comprehended the cultivation manual and achieve some breakthrough" Ren spoke earnestly.
"Tch… breakthrough in barely a day? Don't make me- EH?!" The old man stopped mid-sentence when he sense the aura emanating from Ren.
It seems this brat really achieved a breakthrough! Not even once but four times!
"You..." The old man stared at him as if seeing a ghost.
"Uh… did I pass?" Ren felt awkward being stared at like this.
"Of course you did! You can call me Old Shen, what's your name kid?" Old Shen said with a smile full of approval.
Ding! Congratulations on completing on embarking on the part of cultivation!

Seeing the new system prompt, a smile appeared on his lips while the dissatisfaction in his heart dissipated as if it never existed.
"Ren" He replied with a genuine happy smile.
"Ren… what a nice name" Old Shen praised but Ren wondered if that's his genuine feelings or…
"Well done young Ren" Old Shen said, his voice like a gentle voice. "You've completed the quest with ease. Your dedication to the path of the Shaman is truly admirable"
Ren bowed respectfully, "Thank you, Master Shen. Your guidance is invaluable"
Unbeknownst to Ren, the corners of Old Shen's mouth twitched upon hearing his response.
Kid, I haven't even taught you a thing yet you shamelessly utter those words!
Nonetheless Old Shen waved his hand dismissively, "Anyways, your reward is well deserved. The manual I've given you earlier not only contained Wind orientate moves but a few other basic elements, it is recommended that you as a young shaman, familiarized yourself with all of the basic elements first then you may choose your specialization"
Ren nodded his head as he listened while following behind Old Shen as they went deeper into the building.
"It seems you are well-suited for the wind element, I shall now bestow upon you this skill" Old Shen spoke as a leather-bound book flew from a dusty shelf followed by an old totem.
Ren shamelessly received the skill book but the next instant, his expression turned into one of shock!

With a wave of his hand, they are engulf in mysterious winds and the next moment they appeared near the exit.
Damn what a show-off!
Ren couldn't helped thinking about how a simple walk might've sufficed.
"Remember, Ren," Old Shen said, his expression turning serious, "A true Shaman balances power with Wisdom. Use your gifts wisely, righteousness will always prevail"
Ren nodded, his mind already racing possibilities and strategies.
"I will, Master Shen. Thank you again for your guidance" Ren said, his voice full of gratitude.
Old Shen nodded, his eyes warm with approval. "You have potential, Ren. Continue to walk on the path of the Shaman, and you will find greatness"
With a final bow, Ren turned to leave, eager to face the world of Ascension with his new abilities. Full of anticipation, he knew his journey is about to begin.
As he walked away, Old Shen's eyes held a bit of nostalgia as he whispered softly, "May the spirits guide you, young Ren"
