A bit much
The subconscious was the core of a living being in a sense.
Every living being had a subconscious that reflected their true self and also their experiences.
It was safe to say that those experiences would shape up the subconscious in the best way possible.
This meant that the subconscious of a person was essentially integral to one's existence.
The worst kind of death would be having your subconscious subdued by another person.
It was almost similar to being erased from existence.
Thus very few would dare to allow anything to infiltrate their subconscious.
Most would even be crazy enough to put security measures down to ensure that it wasn't infiltrated.
Of course, for Max there was no need to do that since he already had a natural borne security within his subconscious.
It came in the form of a fox that wanted to devour him and replace him.
That was her future plan though.
