66 Thugs

Months were going by, Marcus's training continued, and it only got harder every day. The increase in his stats was slowly becoming smaller, but he persisted and continued. By now he passed by the 100 mark and now the mission was to achieve 500 on muscle strength and speed, but with this pace, it will take him two years before he can achieve it. Flexibility, on the other hand, stopped when it reached 100, and it was impossible to get it any higher, but with it, he could rotate his head like an owl. This a limitation of a human body and if he wants to increase his flexibility beyond that, he would have to change the whole structure of his body.

His energy, on the other hand, was increasing by four every day, and with him perfecting the way to practice, he can now do it constantly, and while doing something else. He is also slowly getting closer to the 500 energy mark, and with it, he will be able to learn the Advanced Energy Gathering.

Advanced Energy Gathering is a technique that requires at least 500 energy to support it. It is very similar to Basic Energy Gathering as the way to increase the energy is the same, but it allows him to do much more than the Basic Energy Gathering does. First and most important it allows him to enlarge the Gate so that you can draw out more energy.

It will also allow him to compress the energy outside his core, creating a bead that is filled with energy. He can then later use it to replenish his energy or use it to create artifacts, but the process to make it is very complicated and to create one bead will take him weeks. It is also very important to not make that bead like a second core if he would try to make a second core an interference would be created and one of the cores would collapse. To make the second core, he would need to use the Expert Energy Gathering, which he can only use once he has 10000 energy. And that is the minimum.

For now, he doesn't need to worry about a second core but Mei.

For some reason, Mei decided that it was a good idea to sign up for school and now she is attending it every day. She is in the same class as Alexa and from what she is saying it is fun. But Marcus did not need to go there, while she can learn something there, he can learn everything from Es, it would only be a waste of time.

But for one reason or another, she wanted him to pick her up from school every day. So now he had to waste time on that. One day when he was in his way to pick her up, Marcus heard a commotion in the dark Alley. With the sunglasses on he could safely open his eyes, without worrying if someone will see them. And after checking the situation, he found two thugs' pressing a girl to a wall.

"Look, your father borrowed money from us, and since he is gone, you will have to pay us back, in one way or the other." One of the thug's said. He was holding one of her arms tightly while the other one was pushing her shoulder to the wall.

"I told you already I don't have any money." Her voice was shaky, and tears in her eyes were slowly dripping. She knew that if this goes on, it won't end well for her.

And as one of the thugs was about to say something a hand grabbed him by the back of his neck, lifting him into the air.

"What the…?!" seeing this the other thug let go of the girl and took a step back. He wanted to assess the situations before he does anything. And he saw a normal kid with short hair and sunglasses. But he was able to hold his buddy by the neck high in the air.

"I would advise you to let this girl go, I have places to be, and things to take care of. I don't want to play with the two of you." Said Marcus. Seeing the situation, he couldn't stop himself, and he had to help. But remembering the situations from his time in Capital City, and since he shouldn't use his powers, he only used his physical strength.

"We will see about that." Said the free thug, he then rolled up his sleeves, his hand and forearm then separated into two sections, and from it, a blade extended. His other hand changed into a small canon and inside started to glow red.

Marcus had no idea what those are, but it is definitely nothing good. Throwing the one he was holding onto the wall he faced the thug walking towards him. He was fast, inhumanly fast. Opening his eyes, Marcus looked at the body of the thug, while dodging his attacks.

He saw that most of it was replaced with metal, and these new parts were about the strength of a stage 8 expert! Why is someone like this a thug?!

As the blade passed by his neck, it suddenly expanded. Marcus was surprised and wasn't able to react in time. His throat was slashed, and blood started to flow. He wasn't expecting to get hurt against an enemy like this, not to mention with a trick that he himself used!

But a wound like this will heal in matters of dozens of seconds, so Marcus ignored it and moved forward.

A stream of high energy particles passed by Marcus as he was approaching, it was fired from the thug's hand that changed into a cannon. Seeing the damage that it did behind him, Marcus first grabbed the cannon with his bare hands and crushed it.

At the same time, he saw the blade approaching him from the other side, and with a little effort, he shifted his body to dodge it and grab the other arm with the other hand.

With a cruel smile he looked into the eyes of the thug, and there he saw fear.
