72 Ten months.

After Marcus and Mei said their farewells to Professor Johnson, they traveled to the W.S. Ares. On the ship, they changed their clothes for more battle fitting. They didn't need any armor, against experts of their level, armor didn't matter. They needed comfortable clothes to move in, Marcus kept his sunglasses and wore loose pants and a t-shirt.

Mei, on the other hand, was wearing very traditional attire from their world, it wasn't fit for fighting at all, the moment the fight begins, all of it will get torn to pieces. The dress had a flame pattern on it and was crafted form the most expensive materials in this world. It definitely was custom made for her.

So only Marcus wore something that will more suitable for fighting. Mei went with… style. Hopefully, she won't need to fight at all. Making their way to the bridge, Marcus walked up to the Captain of this ship, Rick.

"Rick! It's good to see you again. How is Alexa? We didn't see each other for years." Seeing Rick in so long, Marcus remembered how he bought a gravity room with the Army's money, and he somehow was able to explain it as a necessity for him and Mei.

"To be honest, not so good. She joined the army. Her training will finish next month and then she will be a regular. Why did she do that? Army may pay well, but she could've got a better job."

"…" Alexa in the army? She will probably fit in perfectly, but he shouldn't tell that to Rick. "Let's connect to S.S. Yggdrasil. The Gate will be opened soon."

Communication was established successfully, and the countdown was started. And this was when Rick opened a channel to everyone and started to speak.

"This is Capitan Rick Garey speaking, soon the Gate to another dimension will be opened. Every one of you was specially picked for this mission, and everyone knows the danger. There is a chance we will never come back, maybe all of us will die. Before you came here, all of you were made aware of this, and all of you agreed to come here. But I won't force you to come with us. So if anyone changed their minds, this is the last chance to go back. We will send you to S.S. Yggdrasil from where you will be sent back to Gai'a. End of message."

Minutes later, five people decided to leave. But that was all. And the countdown continued.

10 minutes.

5 minutes.

2 minutes.

1 minute.

"Are you ready?" Marcus looked at Mei with a smile. She then grabbed his hand. And looked into his eyes. "Yes."

The space in the ring started to distort, and small cracks appeared. They started to move, faster and faster, creating a whirlpool. Seconds later the vortex started to calm down, and all that was left visible was space. But they should see the Sun behind the ring, but now they saw a planet in the distance. Though the gate Marcus felt Qi entering this world. He then patted Rick on his back waking him up from the shock.

"Start the Engines. We are going through the Gate."

As they got closer to the ring, Marcus felt the Qi becoming denser, and the planet was coming closer. Before they went through the gate, Rick sent one last message to S.S. Yggdrasil.

"See you in ten months."

Ten months. This is how much they will need to open the gate again. And this will be their chance to go back. If they miss it, they will have to wait another ten months. But it wasn't the time for them to worry about that.

Crossing the gate was like passing through a screen of water. The feeling was only momentary as they passed through with the escort of older ships, they slowly emerged from the Gate. Looking back, they saw a hole in space that was the gate; it was slowly becoming smaller until it closed. There was no way back now. There is only one way for them to move now.

Closing on the planet they slowly went into an orbit around the planet, they fired satellites into a low orbit around the Planet. Before they descent, they will need to get some visuals and the general situation on the planet surface. Landing in enemy's territory will be a catastrophe. The satellites will also let them use communications on the planet, a phone is a huge advantage, in war relaying information is the most important thing.

"We found human activity on the Planet's surface." One of the operators spoke up.

"Put it on the main screen. Zoom in on the camp; we need to determine if they are hostile. Redirect Satellite 0962 two degrees east. Now zoom in again."

The screen showed a close zoom of the camp, in it, people with small horns, animal heads, and many different features ware busily moving around. They were demons.

"Mark their coordinates and move Satellite 0138 directly above them. Maintain constant surveillance. Keep looking for the ally camp."

They were able to locate two more enemy camps before they finally found humans. They were in a capital city, and nearby was third army's camp. And around a 150 km away from them was a huge army marching towards them. With an army, this size resisting will be hard for humans.

"Do we go down now? We should make contact with our people." Mei said." We have phones, so we will make contact with the ship when we arrive."

"Sure, but I want to make a cool entrance," Marcus added. An occasion like this won't happen again, and he must use it to the fullest.

"Sigh… I will take a ship then. Don't make a mess when you get down. I won't clean after you. If you mess up, that's on you." Mei wasn't satisfied with how Marcus was treating the situation, but a flashy entrance will score them some points." Just don't kill yourself."
