Fairy Tales Make Things Look Easy
After successfully dealing with the bandits, she stood face to face with the last challenge - a fierce infant dragon. The creature, with its relentless breath attacks during their battle, goaded her to engage in a relentless showdown. While ensuring the safety of Haruhime, who looked on, Yuri launched herself towards the beast. As she closed in, the dragon unleashed a wall of flames, preparing to strike with its tail. Anticipating the danger, Yuri remained vigilant. She chanted her magic spell, using the full chant instead of the shortened one, while fully investing her energy to make it even more potent.
As Yuri advanced, the spell she cast took on a new form. Instead of the usual thin streaks of light, it transformed into large spears of light. As the spell struck the dragon, a blinding light engulfed the area. When the light waned, something heavy collided with Yuri, sending her crashing into a wall.
Emerging from the rubble, Yuri found herself facing the heavily wounded dragon. Though she had depleted half of her mana, leaving her unable to cast another powerful spell immediately, the dragon remained standing, albeit gravely injured. With her adrenaline wearing off, Yuri knew that she would soon be in excruciating pain from her injuries. Determined to end the battle swiftly, she readied herself to charge once more.
The dragon, now limited to attacking with its tail due to its injuries, attempted to strike at Yuri while she approached. Ever observant, Yuri maneuvered around the dragon's tail and began to build speed. Despite its injuries, the dragon refused to succumb.
As Yuri prepared to deal a finishing blow, the dragon thwarted her attack, pinning her weapon and initiating a wild breath attack. The ensuing explosion shattered her weapon and engulfed the surroundings in a blinding light once again.
Once the explosion died down. Haruhime who had watched the ensuing battle from the start. Awoke from her daze as she no longer noticed the brave worrier who helped her. Looking around the torn battlefield Haruhime finally found her knight. As in her mind Yuri represented a valiant knight who appeared in order to save the captured damsel.
Unbeknownst to the two girls a third party was witness to the battle also. As Haruhime pulled Yuri who amazingly only suffered a broken arm rib and burns from the rubble. They were approached by a group of two people.
But before Yuri was able to see who they were she lost consciousness. The next thing Yuri knew she once again woke up in the room she now recognized as Hephaestus's. Seeing Lilly sitting to her right with her arms crossed and a frown on her face Yuri asked "How long was I out this time". Hearing this and seeing her looking at her Lilly sighed and told her she was only out for around two hours.
After hearing this Yuri thought that it seemed she might be able to avoid getting a lecture this time. As this thought came it was immediately squashed as the door opened and Hephaestus entered with a frown on her face looking right at Yuri.
Seeing this look Yuri was about to say sorry but before she could someone ran past Hephaestus and pulled Yuri into a hug. Yuri looked down and noticed the mesmerizingly fluffy ears in front of her and her mind stopped working for a moment.
When she came back to her senses she had pulled the girl onto her lap and with one hand was stoking her ear and with the other, she was petting her equally fluffy tail. Stopping her movement she looked around and noticed everyone else standing there with awkward expressions on their faces.
Confused Yuri asked the room "What just happened". After a moment Lilly broke the silence with an angry tone she stated "What just happened is you spaced out and started molesting that Renard girl". Hearing this Yuri's face turned red in embarrassment and she hid her face in her hands. After a few minutes of awkward silence, this time broken by Hephaestus Yuri was asked what happened in the dungeon.
Yuri calming down told the story recounting how they made it to the tenth floor and she heard a large battle taking place. Upon checking on the situation she noticed the girl now known to those in the room as Haruhime chained by unscrupulous-looking characters. And finally how she couldn't stand the look of the situation and decided to help which led to her facing off against a variant infant dragon.
When Yuri finished the tale Hephaestus just released a sigh now realizing that Yuri seemed to be the type who would always find herself in the middle of a situation. Before she could decide whether to scold her or not though Yuri spoke up once again. " my poor weapon broke so now I have to make another before I'll be able to go back into the dungeon".
Hearing this Hephaestus came up with a plan that would make sure Yuri healed fully and took a break before returning to the dungeon. She looked at Yuri and said "Before you replace your weapon and go to the dungeon I'm going to continue your blacksmith training myself. Until you are able to complete a weapon that I am satisfied with you won't be allowed to return to the dungeon".
Hearing this and realizing that this would mean learning the art from a goddess with a divinity for it Yuri sat up excitedly. It definitely didn't have anything to do with spending an excessive amount of alone time with one of the most beautiful women she had ever seen. Definitely not!!!! Quickly finding herself again Yuri as calmly as she could agreed.
Hephaestus happy with Yuri's response quickly asked the others to leave the room as she wanted to update Yuri's falna.

Seeing that her stats increased so much so quickly surprised Hephaestus but not as much as Yuri gaining a new spell. After copying her stats for her to see Hephaestus asked where the new spell came from.
Yuri seeing this too stated " I have no clue I overcharged the spell I had and when I released it against the infant dragon I thought the spell looked more like needles. But that is all that happened so many it's the next step in the spell.
Hearing this Hephaestus could only nod her head in agreement. Hephaestus then told Yuri to rest and once she was back to a hundred percent they would begin her training. As she was about to leave Yuri stopped her for a moment and stated that she wanted to ask Hestia if Haruhime could join her famillia.
Hearing this Hephaestus stated she would ask and left the room closing the door behind her. As the door shut Yuri turned her attention to the notification for completing her mission along with both optional objectives.

Seeing the new spell Yuri was impressed with the power of it the only complaint she had was the fact that it didn't have a shortened chant. With that in mind, she decided to rest so she could pass the time faster till she could learn from Hephaestus. The last thought she had before returning to sleep was. Fairy tales make fighting the dragon to save the damsel look so much easier.
