As We Fall: Please Don't Leave Me or Let Go of My Shaking Hand

When Bai Huali's older sister decided to jump off a cliff in order to join her dead husband due to the pressure of being a new sect leader, Bai Huali finds herself full and busy with the child her sister left behind for her to take care of. With no time to mourn or grieve for her family's tragedy and her sister's death, Bai Huali finds herself becoming the new sect leader and drowning herself in immense office reports and meetings. However, becoming a sect leader comes with a price as Bai Huali had to conceal her gender and take on the role of a male. With family members gone, a clan exterminated, and a sect with only a maximum of five people, can Bai Huali bring prosperity back to the merpeople? Follow Bai Huali as she has to adapt to living on two legs daily, sleeping in the waters with a tail, and take care of a non-stop wailing baby. "Sect Leader Bai, I see that you have your hands currently preoccupied, may I assist you?" the beaming smile of the other leader had Bai Huali itching to smack it off. Knowing that what she did would not deter the man, Bai Huali simply waved him off and told him to help with the reports. Caught off-guard, Bai Huali blinked before feeling something brush past her lips. "Did you just...?" The other sect leader leaned back and said nothing as he smiled brightly and headed to her office to work on the paperwork leaving Bai Huali standing there. "Jiujiu!" A quiet voice called out making her look down to the owner's voice. "Why is your face so red?" Bai Huali only looked away as to not show her nephew her current appearance. *I do not own the cover picture and do not know the owner of the picture to give credit to. The Two Bai Family Sister Are Missing

Bai Huali waited and waited. As the days passed by, Huali knew that her older sister couldn't be saved anymore. However, it was more that she didn't want to face the reality that her last family member was gone.

--------------------------

"Good morning Sect Leader Li. May I ask what brings you here today?" the head disciple asked. The head disciple of Bai Huan was curious. Although the Bai family was starting to regain its footing in the cultivation world, the sect itself had no more than five members. There was nothing that the sect itself could offer to Li Family themselves.

Sect Leader Li seemed to see through the head disciple's thoughts and assured him. "I'm only here to meet with your sect leader. We've had arrangements to meet up and discuss a few matters regarding the upcoming conference."

The head disciple seemingly bought that excuse and began leading the way to their sect leader's office. Since there were a small number of members in the Bai Family Sect, the housing was rebuilt smaller than the previous bigger one making the journey short.

Knock. Knock.

"Sect leader, please excuse my intrusion," the head disciple pushed open the doors and stepped in with the Li Sect Leader trailing behind him.

Upon entering the room, the head disciple couldn't see any signs of his leader. Turning to Li Feijun, he bowed and apologised.

"Please excuse me, Sect Leader Li. It seems that my sect leader isn't there currently. I'll immediately leave to check on her room and report back to you. Please make yourself comfortable in our guest room."

The head disciple left straight for Bai Huan's room. Reaching her room, the disciple knocked and entered only to find out that it was empty once again. Slightly worried, the head disciple headed further into the hall and upon reaching the sect leader's young sister's room stumbled upon a loud wailing sound.

The head disciple frightened immediately barged into the room to find a bundle of cloth laying on the young mistress's bed. Further, inspection led him to see that it was the youngest master, Pei Hua.

Startled, the disciple carried the wailing baby out and ran to the nearest bell, ringing it alerting the other disciples to gather in the training hall before rushing there himself.

Li Feijun who was casually sipping tea heard a faint ringing of bells in his ear. However, he ignored it thinking it was just the wind brushing the bells. Yet, as seconds turned into minutes, he found himself unable to ignore it and rushed outside.

As he walked towards no particular direction, he found himself nearing the training hall where he could see disciples rushing in and out of the room. Carrying a bottle... a bottle of milk?

He walked closer to the room and listened in. Upon reaching the place, he heard faint sounds of a b... baby crying and the head disciple trying... trying to calm it down?

Li Feijun tried to listen in on the discussion while trying to tune out most of the baby's wailing. He caught faint words like missing, both sister, young master, young mistress, and sect leader.

Immediately, he burst into the room and shouted shocking and stunning the other disciples.

"The two sisters of the Bai Family are missing?!"
