the banquet

The nine years flew by in a blink of an eye. It's now one month until the birthday banquet.

Time went by to fast! I wanted to enjoy the peaceful times a little longer. Allright.

At least I think I have a good chance with Eric. I told him many times what to do if Juliet dumps him.

Accept Juliet's choice! I think he got it by now...

"Henry! Where are you?"

That was Eric. Soon he will go home for the banquet. He is very nervous because of Juliet. Oh how he nagged me for the present he would give to Juliet. 'Henry, should I gift her this.' 'Henry, or should I do that?' Very annoying. But what can I do except for helping him? He is stillmy friend.

"What is it, Eric?", I answered Eric.

He went out of the bathroom of our room.

"Should I weare this or zhould I weare that?", he asked me, holding two suits in his hand. I sighed:" This is the first time I see a boy making such a fuss over clothes!" I smiled:" But I think you should weare the blue one." He nooded. After he brought the clothes away he finally sat down on his bed.

I looked outside. The sky was blue and the weather was warm. As expected of summer. "How fast time flies...", I said. Eric lokked at me, then he nodded:"Yes. It feels like we just enrolled yesterday." We both stared out of the window.

After a while Eric broke the silence:"Hey Henry. You always are going to stay by my side. Right?" I lokked at him, then I nodded:"Yes. Always." He smiled.

One month later.

I stumbled trough the filled hall of people. All dressed fancy. Again I was suprised by the shear amount of nobles in this world.

But what suprised me more was the fact, that Eric somehow got an invitation for me. He probably asked Adven.

We understand each other very good. Finally I found Eric. Quickly I walked to him. I need guidance! Otherwise I qill lose myself in this crowd.

He winked at me. He must have noticed me. "There you are Henry. I tought you would go eat something.", he said. I nodded:"I did. But there are just to many people for me. Man I never knew how good lone tims can be." He laughed. Than he spotted someone.

I looked in his direction. It was Juliet.

"Should I go now?", he asked insecurly. "Yes! When will you do it if not now! Go and asked her. No mather what the outcome I going to be right by you side."

Eric took out the present. It was a necklace with a bird. I find it very beautiful. Ofcourse there is also the ring.

He went towards Juliet. I closely watched them. I went after Eric but stopped a few meters before him. It's his moment.

A little part of me hopes that I changed the story enough for Juliet to accept him. But at the same time a other part didn't like the tough at all. Just ignore it, he's going propose!
