Chapter#18: The vampire town

"I need Queen's picture or anything related to her." Dara spoke.

"There a statue of the Queen but you can't go there." Wade told.

"Why not?"

"Because at that place is loaded with werewolves and vampires. That is where my home is."

"But I'm a werewolf."

"Dara you are a werewolf but you smell like a human and we werewolves and vampire can sense humans and if someone finds out about you, you're dead."

"I'll show them that I'm one of them."

"They are already searching for you Dara. They want to kill you because you broke the rule. You killed two kids."

"I didn't know that was going to happen."

"I know Dara but it did happen. Now they're looking for you."

"I need that statue Wade."

"We'll figure something out at night. I'll come to your room. Right now you'll have to go back to your house. It's almost sun set."

"I hope to fix things out and to break the curse."

"You sure will." Wade kissed Dara, "I'll go home now and see how to sneak you there."

Dara's mother called her on her phone. Dara picked it up, "Mom I'm on my way home."

"Be quick sweetie it's dangerous out here."

"Yeah Mom I'm coming." Dara hung up.

"Dara I want you to get some sleep. It was two hours to sunlight when I got you back to your room."

"I feel tired too."

"Okay then, we'll meet at night." Wade kissed he fore head, "I love you!"

"Love you more!"

Both went on their ways back to their houses. Dara ate her supper and went to her bedroom to get some sleep.

"Dara!" someone gently shook her from her shoulders.

Dara opened her eyes. It was Wade. "Wade…" she murmured in her mouth.

"I'm here love." he uttered.

Dara got up and she started to stare at Wade.

"Dara are you okay?" Wade asked her.

Dara remained quiet and continued to stare. He shook her.

"Wade!" she hugged him.

"Damn you were deep sleeping."

"I was tired." she spoke, "Have you figured out what to do?"

"Well, we vampires and werewolves sleep at day and we wake up at night. There are very little of us who are awake at day and they sleep at night." Wade told, "So we'll go there at day. There are some of my friends. I've talked to them. I've told them that I wanted to bring my girlfriend to our place so she can see where I actually belong. They are going to be useful if anyone else sees you there. The statue is in the middle of the place. So it's a bit risky to go there but we'll take our chances."

"Wade, thank you! I hope you understand how important this is for me."

"Yes my love I know." Wade uttered while holding Dara's hands, "It's very dangerous for you to go in there but I promise you I won't let anything happen to you."

"I know you won't" Dara hugged him, "You know when I feel the safest?"

"When?"

"When I've your arms around me. I know if you're with me, nothing can trouble me."

"I love you Dara!"

"I love you too Wade." she got him out of hold and asked, "You know what they say, only a vampire can love you forever."

"Lucky you." Wade chuckled.

"Wade I've heard and seen in movies too that vampires burn in day light but when I see you, you're okay in the light, how?"

"Dara there's more to my story then by being a vampire." he told, "My father fell in love with a human. He wanted to marry her but his people were against him. My mother's parents died when she was a little kid and since then she had been living with her aunt who was very rough with her. Dad told mother that he'll marry her and he'll take her away from that wicked woman. Other vampires agreed with the marriage but actually this was a trap. Mother got pregnant before their marriage. My mother's aunt knew that she was pregnant so she used to abuse her, beat her and curse her. They got married on the next day when I was born. Dad took her to his house. The vampires killed her on their wedding day and burned their house. No one knew about me except for my father's sister Marina. She saved me and told everyone that she found me in the jungle. No one knew who my parents were except for Aunt Marina. The vampires accepted me. Thanks to her I'm alive today and because my mother was a human, I have human characteristics too just like you but I don't smell like one."

"You never told me before." Dara spoke.

"I also never told you that I was a vampire." he told, "Dara I've nothing to hide form you but I never wanted you to know the truth about me because I know you weren't safe if I'm around you."

"Wade I'm the safest with you."

Wade got in the bed with Dara. He made he lay down with him and made her asleep.

"Good night cookie."

"Good night love."

The next morning, Dara's eyes opened due to the alarm. She was fresh today. She got up brushed her teeth and changed. She put her wig on and went upstairs to eat.

"Morning Mom!" she entered the kitchen, "Morning Dad!"

"Good morning Dara!" uttered Ellen.

"I'm making French omelet." Greg told.

"Yummm I'd love to have some."

"Ellen, you both go to the dining room. I'm bringing them there." Greg spoke.

"Mom I'll go to a friend's house in case of a project after school." Dara told her mother.

"No worries sweet heart. Just take care of yourself."

After having her yummiest breakfast, Dara went on her way to school.

"Hey pumpkin!" Wade called her as soon as she got out from the house.

"Hey!" Dara ran towards him and hugged him.

"Dara you know you're beautiful." Wade held his hands to Dara's wig.

Dara quickly stopped him, "Wade don't."

"You've always been beautiful Dara. I love the way you are. Why do you care about other people?"

Dara held her hands back and Wade pulled off the wig from her head. Her shinny grey hair opened and flew in the air. They looked stunning.

"I love you Dara. I love the way you are and I don't want you to change." Wade kissed her on her forehead.

Dara hugged him, "Thank you for everything Wade."

"Don't thank me Dara. We're one. What I do for you means I do it for myself."

Dara took the wig from Wade's hands and put it in the dustbin, "Good bye fake hair."

After school they both had to go to the other side of the island where the vampires and the werewolves lived. They secretly went in the jungle. In the middle of the jungle, there were four of Wade's friends waiting for them.

"Dara these are my friends." Wade showed, "And guys, this is Dara. The girl I told you all about."

"Hey Dara. It's nice to meet you. I'm Kate."

"I'm Justin."

"Ben here."

"Hello I'm Angelina."

"Hey I'm very glad that I met you." Dara spoke.

"Wade talks about you like all the time." Angelina chuckled.

"Yeah and he never stops. All he knows what to talk about is a girl named Dara." Justin laughed.

"Got pretty hair Dar." Kate winked at Dara.

"Well thank you." Dara smiled at her.

"We should be doing some work here." Wade spoke.

"There's Stacy and Lenny just outside the gate. They never stop making out." Ben told.

"We'll just pass by." Dara said.

"Dara they'll sense you." Wade uttered.

"What do you mean? Are they vampires too?" Dara shockingly asked.

"Not vampires." Kate smirked, "They're werewolves."

"William and Sabrina are also werewolves." Wade winked at Dara.

"How come I never know?" Dara murmured.

"I'll go talk to them and try to make them leave and you guys go in as soon as they are gone." Ben spoke.

They all went there and hid behind the trees from behind. Ben went to them and started to talk about something. Soon they both left. Wade, Dara and all of Wade's friends went inside. It was like another world.

"No one knows about this place, right?" Dara asked Wade.

"No one is allowed to know about the place." Wade told her.

It looked like eighteenth century town; a small street crossing and shops and houses on both sides. It was very quiet there. Almost everyone was asleep.

Wade held Dara's hand, "Just don't let go whatever happens here."

They walked straight and soon they were in the middle of the town. All the streets connected here in a big circle and there was the big statue of Queen Eve.

Dara left Wade's hand, "I'll be safe." She went close to the statue. She touched it and she could see some flashbacks appearing before her eyes. She saw Queen's life story. She saw how the Queen fell in love with Dara's grandfather. She saw how the human civilization started on the island. She saw werewolves and vampires fighting with each other. She saw the curse and above all, she saw the Queen alive.

The werewolves came.

"Looks like we've a guest here." one of the werewolves said.

"Back off Kevin!" Kate exclaimed.

Wade rushed towards Dara. Dara fell unconscious in his arms.

"Dara get up!" he tried to wake her up.

A wolf came to Wade, got his arm in its mouth and threw him away. Ben came running and he picked the wolf up in his hands and smashed it on the ground. Wade's friends fought the wolves. Dara's eyes opened.

"Wade!" she ran towards him.

One of the wolves came running towards Dara. Wade grabbed its neck and threw him away.

"We've to go from here. There are too many of them. We can't fight them." Wade exclaimed.

"The Queen…" Dara uttered, "She's alive."

"What?"

A wolf came and grabbed Wade's neck. Wade held it away. His neck started to bleed. Dara got angry.

"Dara I've to take you out of here." Wade held Dara's hand.

She got her hand out of hold and turned to the wolves. "I am the one you all want, right?" she uttered in a loud voice.

"What are you doing Dara?" Wade exclaimed.

They all stopped fighting and started to look at Dara. Dara turned to Wade and said, "The Queen is alive. I want you to go find her. She's somewhere on this island in a cave near water." She then turned back to the wolves and started to transform into a wolf. She was huge. She was one of the biggest.

"Dara no!" Wade exclaimed.

Dara ran towards the wolves. She grabbed and threw them on the ground one by one but there were too many of them. She got defeated. She transformed back into a human while she laid injured and naked on the ground. Wade ran towards her. He took off his shirt and put it on Dara. Two of the werewolves held Dara up. She was badly injured. There were werewolves all around.

"We'll be taking care of her." The Alpha said. He was the chief of the werewolves. The chief vampire came too. He ordered that Dara belonged to the wolves. Wade could do nothing. Angelina went to Wade and uttered, "I know she'll be fine. Just let them take her and we'll bring her back."

The wolves took Dara while Wade kept watch her helplessly.

"This is my entire fault." Wade cried, "How could I bring her here while I knew it was risky?"

"None of this is your fault Wade." Justin uttered.

"We'll bring her back." Kate spoke.

"But it's too dangerous for us to go there." Ben told.

"There's only one man I know who can bring her out." Wade exclaimed.
