As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. No One Else

"You are nothing," replied Raphael. He looked at Rachael's neck, refusing to stare at the naked body in front of him. Blood poured down her back and onto the floor by her feet. Whatever wound Addy had managed to inflict wasn't healed by the shift.

It had to be deep for that to happen.

Rachael opened her mouth to argue with his statement, only to let out a gasp and a scream as flesh started to drop to the floor in small bits. In fact, most might not have been even able to see the bits of Rachael falling off her body, but he could see it just fine.

And Rachael could feel it even better.

The fact that flesh was being ripped off of the she-wolf hadn't phased him even a bit. He had expected to feel something through the bond he shared with her, something that would make him want to stop everything so that a member of his pack wouldn't be killed in front of him.

And yet, he felt nothing.
