Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. I’m Hungry  

Lucien yanked on the fake grass, ripping a giant hole in the middle of it before sending it flying over his shoulder.

 

Without a second thought, he jumped down the passageway, completely ignoring the ladder attached to one side of the wall.

 

The tunnel was too tight for him to be able to shift midair, but as soon as his bare feet touched the ground, he was off on four feet again.

 

Letting out a short bark, Lucien walked forward, his head moving from side to side as he searched for threats.

 

The sound of another soft thud and a low bark alerted him to the fact that Dominik had followed him down the passageway before Damien brought up the rear.

 

The scents coming down the hallway on either side of them were enough to make their head spin at first. If Lucien were in human form, his eyes would probably be watering at the stench sound of them, but as it was, his wolf simply wanted to sneeze until it went away.
