Chapter 28 - Pain's Invasion

"I'm glad that you all came. We have something that we would like to discuss," Tsunade said in a serious tone as she addressed the Jonins in front of her, who were standing with their cells.

Tsunade started to explain to them what she heard from Sasuke, along with the news of Root's death and decided to devise a plan to stop Pain's attack.

Meanwhile, Sasuke turned around since he could see a glimpse of Hinata, who was one of his favorite waifu. He was a bit disappointed that she didn't look at him and was only looking at Naruto.

*Boom*

However, before Tsunade could call Sasuke, the ground shook and everyone heard an explosion.

The ninjas rushed outside to see what had happened and saw some giant summons in the village.

"What the fuck?"

"Are we already under attack?"

"Let's give'em hell brothers"

All ninjas reacted fast to the attack and jumped on the battlefield to protect the evacuating villagers after receiving a nod from Tsunade.

"So one of them can summon those creatures". Sasuke said as he revealed the ability of the animal path.

"Let's see who is Pain?" Naruto yelled as he was about to go after pain.

*Chop*

Sasuke teleported near Naruto and gave him a karate chop and made him unconscious.

"Oye, What are you doing to Naruto?" Shikamaru said suddenly. He knew that he couldn't trust Sasuke.

"NARUTO-KUN" Hinata yelled and tried to attack Sasuke but was stopped by Sakura.

"Relax, I will teleport Naruto and Kakashi to somewhere else. Kakashi will protect Naruto. This is part of the plan" Sasuke said as he teleported them and came back.

"What now?" Shikamaru asked as he looked at Tsunade and Sasuke.

"Now we hunt them," Sasuke said as he pulled out some seals and explained his plan to the others who remained behind.

All of them were main characters so Sasuke was sure that they would succeed quite easily.

"Here, Grab this and tear it apart once you see a guy with orange hair and weird rods in his body," Sasuke said as he handed them some of his seals.

"What is that?" Ino asked as she received the seal from Sasuke.

"I will know where you are standing once you tear it apart" He explained about the function of his seals.

"Then what?" Shikamaru asked

"Then Sasuke will beat them all," Sakura said optimistically.

"Do you think this is a joke? If they actually killed Lord Jiraya, then you can't defeat them," Kiba said as his dog Akamaru nodded.

"Trust me, it's all part of the plan," Sasuke said as he got ready to complete his next quest.

After that, they all went in different directions to see if they could find a path of Pain.

As for Sasuke, he left Tsunade and Sakura in the Hokage office and left to hunt an enemy himself.

Sasuke threw his kunai very far above and used Flying Thundergod to teleport. Once he was in the air, he could easily see the whole village and could see the Six Paths of Pain.

"Naraka's path is the first," Sasuke said as he teleported back and made his way toward Naraka's path.

It is a common belief that you always go after your enemy's healer. Sasuke was doing the same.

The Naraka path could heal injuries and can rip you apart if you don't answer his question after getting caught.

Fortunately, Naraka's path happened to be the closest to him, and he reached him fast.

"Tell me where is the Nine Tails Jinchuruki?" The Naraka Path said as he grabbed two jonins and summoned the gates of hell.

Two sticky tongues attacked the Jonins and grabbed their tongues.

"Dust Release: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu," Sasuke said as a light ray attacked The Naraka Path from above and disintegrated him to bits.

The Naraka Path died easily since he was one of the weakest paths of Pain. He died to a single Rasengan from Konohamaru.

"Cough*Cough*

Both of the Jonins coughed as they finally got a breath.

"What was that?"

"I don't know, maybe someone saved us"

They both discussed what just happened, just like a duo who were far away.

"The Naraka Path died suddenly. How did it happen?" Nagato asked as he didn't see anything coming towards him.

"Maybe someone killed him from behind," Konan said.

"It doesn't matter since Pain never loses," Nagato said as his control on the other parts became better.

The Six Paths of Pain works like that. They became more powerful individually once the others were dead.

"A signal?" Sasuke said as he teleported back to one of the seals that he had given, only to see a random Jonin getting his soul sucked.

"Sasuke!!" Kiba said as he stopped in his tracks after seeing him.

"Human Path?" Sasuke said as he remembered that the Human Path can suck the souls out of humans.

"Is that Sasuke?" The Human Path spoke which terrified Kiba. He wondered how he knew Sasuke's name.

However, before The Human Path could say anything, Sasuke used his Perfect Susanoo's hand and crushed him.

"Yes, I'm," Sasuke said as he stored the crushed body in his inventory so the enemy wouldn't heal him again.

Meanwhile, in a secret hiding spot, Nagato was angry but he still believed that Pain was undefeatable and wanted to crush Konoha.

Meanwhile, Kiba thanked Sasuke and ran away since he had already completed his duty.

"What a brave man," Sasuke joked as he threw his kunai above and teleported using his Flying Thundergod.

Once Sasuke was in the air, he realized that the other Pains were gathering together.

"4 of them together could pose a problem; let's kill one of them before they could group up," Sasuke said as he decided to go after the Preta Path since he was near him.

The Preta Path is a path of pain that could absorb Chakra, so any type of Ninjutsu is useless against him.

"I have an idea," Sasuke said as he decided to try something.
