The Change

"The earthquake was felt throughout the world?! How is that possible?" Mal thought. After spending 10 years alone inside the same closed space, everyone who survived had gone through various hardships and now they had a pretty solid will, so it was not easy for a person to get a mental breakdown and the same was the case with Mal. He steadied himself and sat down on the floor thinking about all the stuff that has happened today. After digesting everything in his mind he stood up and switched on the TV again.

This time on the TV there was no reporter but an old-looking man, though he looked old but he had a powerful looking aura to him. This was the military general of the Korean army. General Beom Seok, he was standing on the podium with tens of mics and cameras surrounding him and hundreds of questions being showered at him, but he was unfazed by the situation and had a solemn look on his face. Standing in front of the TV Mal had a similar face with his brows scrunched up. Finally, Beom Seok opened his mouth "First and foremost I would like to congratulate everyone who has survived the invasion of Virus X, as its terror is now over." As he said that a huge commotion erupted around him, he waited for the voices to die down, and then he continued, "But we advice everyone to still stay inside their home." hearing this Mal frowned and looked outside the window everything outside was as if the world has paused. It was as if the scene he saw before was a mirage his mind made.

He turned his head towards the TV again waiting for Beom Seok to complete his sentence. Beom Seok looked towards the camera with a small frown on his face, "the earthquake that everyone around the world witnessed was not something natural and we are still not sure what was the reason for the worldwide earthquake," he paused for a second and continued "we advise everyone to be prepared for the worse." he said that and turned towards his car and started walking, everyone there. at their homes and even Mal was stunned, not able to process what they just hear. Finally, someone shouted "NO!!" and everyone came back from their daze and a commotion broke out. Mal switched off the television and leaned back on the wall, he was trying to get his thoughts together but still the will that he had forged through the years was not enough, he sat down his legs shaking his teeth clattering, he got a hold of a paper and a pencil from his table and started scribbling on it to calm himself down.

After some time he stood up somewhat clear-headed than before and started cleaning his room again. After cleaning he took a shower cooked himself a simple dinner of ramen, which was considered a luxury as usually, the only thing they used to eat was eggs and bread. After having his dinner he went to sleep. the sleep that everyone had that night was very weird it was as if no one remembered when they slept, what was the dream they had, it was as if they fainted while sleeping.

The next day Mal woke up, did some daily workout, and once again sat down with a paper and a pencil in his hands ready to sketch the day away, this was how he had spent his days for the past 10 years. But today was going to be a changing point in his life.

As he was going to sit down, he heard a sound not from outside from inside his head it was as if someone was ringing 100 bells inside his head with that he also felt a stinging pain from his chest. Unable to bear the pain Mal collapsed.

This was not the case only with him, everyone in the world suffered the same pain and everything went to a still. This time every organism including bacteria and virus for real came to a stop, everything was quiet even the insects that used to make noises or the animals that were there in the jungles everything went silent. Only the world itself was moving and CHANGING. Time passed by and now it was the 5th year since every living organism went to hibernation.

Inside a street overflowed with flora

"Ugh...My head," Mal groaned as he woke up. "What time is it?" he said as he opened his eyes to see a familiar yet not so familiar ceiling, "where am I?" he slowly stood up as looked around to see that he was still inside his house but there was something amiss, but he was not able to tell because of how dark the room was. He slowly walked towards the window to look outside as he approached the window he felt something hanging from outside to inside his room from his window. "What the heck is this?" Mal said in a frustrated yet confused voice. He tried squeezing through the gaps of the window to see what was going outside.

As he moved his head out to look, he saw something that he had seen only in movies. The outside world was overgrown thick vines were coming out of the ground and was wrapping around the houses in his vicinity even his house was not spared, not only that but the trees were way taller than they were supposed to be, tall grass was covering the ground. Mal pinched his face to make sure that he was not dreaming. Suddenly he heard someone scream.

"AHHHHH" Mal looked towards the person who was screaming he was his neighbor who was living in the house that was right in front of Mal's. Mal looked towards him as he saw that the neighbor of his was staring at the sky as he was screaming. Mal felt uneasy as he moved his head up towards the sky only to see a giant red-purplish thing in the sky, it was rotating and different colored lightning was coming out of it, it was so big that it was covering half the sky.

It was at this moment he knew that he f**ked up {Auth:- JK lol}

It was at this moment Mal realized the world has changed, it is not how it used to be before he fainted.
