Mr Ben

"Arsinoe, one plate of fried rice with chicken stew!" "okay coming right out," my name is Arsinoe and I own a small cafe, actually its a partnered investment between Celina my friend and I, but of late the business has been really bad. We are literally filing for bankruptcy, Celina wants to give up and this is the last night she will be working here. "Arsinoe, Mr Ben is here, He has ordered the usual." after serving the first order i went on and made Mr Ben's order and since he like when I serve him, I took the food to him myself. "here you go Mr Ben." "Thank you Arsinoe, aah before you leave can I ask a favour from you, don't worry I will pay you very well for the favour." I knew better not to accept such deals but he is a regular and looks like a respectable person so why not? "how much are we talking about?" I asked. I could feel his eyes piercing but he eventually answered" can we talk somewhere privately?" he asked, so I took him to where we store all our products, as soon as we were in there he said "One hundred thousand." my mouth almost dropped but his voice was firm so he has to be telling the truth and I do need the money if I still want to keep the cafe open, but what was the favour about? "what is it that you are willing to pay me that much?." "You just have to hold on to my suitcase, do not open it nor tell anyone about it, do we have a deal?" I really wanted to decline but what about my cafe. "Okay we have a deal."

It's been a week since he gave me his suitcase, I have heard nothing about him and my business is crumbling down. the money he promised was never delivered. He told me to hide the suitcase somewhere very far and that I certainly did but I need the money he promised. As I was heading home that night I noticed a car parked on the other side of the road but I paid no attention to it. Until when two men stood infront of me and asked "Do you know Mr Ben?" I gave a plain answer "No, I do not know anyone by that name" but before I could say more they covered my face with a handkerchief.

TODAY POV

"You are awake?" I could hear a voice but my head was so heavy, but after a few second I jumped out of the bed I was on. "its okay my dear, I am not here to harm you." the old man said, after his reassurances I was at ease. he handed me a cup of hot tea before saying " you should drink that, I was afraid that you would not wake up" I was not sure of what he meant so I asked "what do you mean sir?" "Well my child you have been asleep for four days now, if you would have not waken up, I would have taken you to the hospital." "Wait, four days.....I have to go then" I stood up trying to leave but the old man stopped me "you should wait first your wounds are not yet healed!" I could feel some pain but I knew I had to go back and settle some scores. "you can rest here and go back tomorrow my dear." his voice was so calm that i decided to stay for the night.
