2 Esteban's Standoff Against Hollows

When Esteban Vortice's consciousness first sparked to life, it was a beacon of chaos amid the vast desolation of Hueco Mundo. His existence was not a whisper in the wind but a deafening roar, an upheaval of the very fabric of reality.

Like a vortex, he drew in the essence of chaos, the uncontrolled, raw reishi of Hueco Mundo, and from other realms, rippling through the spiritual fabric of the universe.

The phenomenon did not go unnoticed. Countless nearby Hollows, drawn by the unfamiliar pulse of power, were alarmed and drawn to it. They felt the disturbance, an inexplicable force that sent ripples through their primal instincts.

They felt the birth of an entity whose strength and aura were like nothing they had sensed before, but their instincts still prevented them from acting rationally and avoiding that source of spiritual energy.

And as the vortex of chaos that was Esteban's birth finally began to dissolve, a newfound sense of freedom flowed through him. He was no longer captive to the chaotic power that had held him in its thrall, forced to watch the swirling energy construct the foundations of his existence.

Now, he was free, capable of moving, of expressing his will, and the first item on his agenda was to deal with the interloping Hollows.

Drawing himself up from the epicenter of the now dissipating vortex, Esteban took his first steps as an independent being. Each stride he took felt powerful, and purposeful, and it was then he noticed the strange undercurrent running through his body. It felt like...absorption, a constant influx of raw energy.

Upon closer observation, he was taken aback to realize that the energy he was drawing in was reishi, the spiritual particles that made up everything in Hueco Mundo.

His body, molded by the chaotic energy of the vortex, was absorbing reishi from the environment, converting it into his own strength. It was an automatic, passive process that seemed to require no conscious effort on his part.

A glance down at his physical form confirmed his suspicions. His body was a maelstrom of power, an embodiment of the vortex that had birthed him. Streams of reishi flowed towards him, spiraling around his form before sinking into his body, reinforcing and enhancing his power.

The constant flow of energy was a visual spectacle that held a certain hypnotic beauty. However, the implications were anything but soothing.

Internally, Esteban reeled from the discovery. The constant absorption of reishi would ensure that his strength would continue to grow passively. However, it also meant that his presence would be impossible to ignore in Hueco Mundo, a beacon of immense energy that would draw the attention of every entity sensitive to spiritual pressure, and not just from there.

Despite the potential threat, Esteban couldn't suppress the exhilaration that bubbled within him. The constant growth of power, and the idea of becoming stronger passively, held a distinct appeal.

The pathway to unparalleled strength lay before him, and it was one he was ready to tread, no matter the challenges that awaited him. Not to mention that he could also become stronger by consuming souls of other powerful beings as he was a real Hollow too.

With a newfound sense of urgency, Esteban propelled himself toward the vicinity of the dissipating vortex. He arrived to find a small group of hollows that had also been touched by the remnants of the chaotic energy. However, what he found left him momentarily stunned.

Before him stood four distinctly evolved humanoid Vasto Lorde-class Hollows, each of them exuding an aura of raw, terrifying power. These creatures, who had only received the remnants of the chaotic energy, had undergone an extraordinary transformation, attaining the highest level of Hollow evolution.

Esteban watched in astonishment as these new Vasto Lordes dispatched the weaker Hollows that were unfortunate enough to be left behind in the evolution because they weren't as close to the source of power when the strange occurrence happened.

He could see the raw power, the sheer brutality of these creatures as they decimated the weak, their strength fueled by the potent remnants of the vortex's energy.

The sight was chilling. The rarity of the Vasto Lorde level Hollows was something he was well aware of from the original series, and to find four of them created merely from the outskirts of the vortex... was astounding, to say the least.

However, this realization also heightened his sense of the power that now resided within him. If the remnants could create such potent beings, then he, the focal point of the vortex, was something truly unique, a being of unimaginable power and potential.

Yet, as he stood there, facing these new threats, he couldn't shake off the gnawing feeling of unease. These were potential rivals, creatures of significant power that could pose a threat to his supremacy.

The sight of these Hollows, these new Vasto Lordes, ignited a flame within Esteban, a burning desire to maintain his dominance. He wouldn't let them take away what was rightfully his. And with that, he prepared to face the first real challenge in his path.

As Esteban confronted the four Vasto Lordes with the seething rage in his eyes, "You dare?", He growled, his voice like the rumbling of a storm about to break, "You dare to lay your claim on what is rightfully mine?"

Esteban stood tall, a monolith against the pale moonlight. His Reiatsu, raw and chaotic, rippled out around him, a storm threatening to obliterate everything in its path.

The four Vasto Lorde hesitated at the edge of this maelstrom of anger-induced Reiatsu, feeling the soul-shattering touch of his power.

They trembled, not merely from fear, but from the sheer reverence that such an immense spiritual pressure demanded. It was as if their whole beings were on the edge of being broken apart.

The hollows looked at each other, their instinctual fear being overshadowed by the allure of the residual vortex energy they had consumed. The bravest among them stepped forward, he was an imposing figure of considerable bulk.

His spiritual pressure flickered around him like a flame, unyielding against Esteban's tempest, "You think you can intimidate us with your power?!", He roared, pointing a jagged claw toward Esteban, "You're not the only one to feed on the power of this vortex!"

The second Vasto Lorde, a lithe figure wrapped in shadows, moved fluidly to the front. He tilted his head, his smile a grotesque mimicry of amusement, "Indeed. Four against one, it doesn't seem very fair, does it?", His tone dripped with mockery, his gaze never wavering from Esteban's form, "But then, in Hueco Mundo, what is fair?"

The third Vasto Lorde, his figure shrouded in a tattered cloak, hung back slightly. His eyes bore into Esteban with a potent silence that spoke volumes more than any words could. His spiritual pressure was heavy, thick with despair, and it hung around him like a tangible cloak of sorrow. The air seemed to thicken, the sense of dread settling in more deeply.

The fourth and final Vasto Lorde, the tallest of the four, maintained his distance. His gaze flickered between his comrades and their towering adversary.

The specter of silent assessment, he nodded slowly, "Do not underestimate us...", He intoned, his voice deep and resonating, "We were birthed in chaos and have risen from the ashes. We will not fall so easily."

Their declarations rang out in the hollow expanse of Hueco Mundo, echoing back to them from the desolate landscape. There they stood, five unique beings borne from the same cataclysm, each claiming their right to the power they now possessed.
