Reinforced bonds

The car lights luminated the path for her, and the vibration from the steering wheel was just encouraging her to grab the wheel harder.

At the speed she was driving it was a miracle that nobody stop her till now. Fortunately, when she reached the suburban city she slowed at a considerable speed. Slow enough not to be pulled over but fast enough to not waste her time.

She still drove like a madman thought especially in the night. Her eyes never left the road and her mind was trapped with the same thoughts. Her beautiful face was frozen in a frown. She was thinking about Lincoln about what will happen when she will finally see him. He will be happy? He will be happy to finally see his big sister, or... or he will be resentful and shout at her for not protecting him? She is the big sister she had the responsibility to look after every one of them, that was her job... and she totally blew it.

With this though she could only grab the steering wheel more tightly.

She took a quick look at the clock on the radio and she estimated that in only 30 minutes she will get to the Hospital.

She really wanted to press the gas pedal to the floor and rush the meeting with her lost brother but she knew she couldn't. It wouldn't make any good and if she made an accident or if she would be stopped by the police it would only delay further her meeting with her brother.

While Lori was trying her best to calm the whirlpool of her emotions, her sister Luna was also in a pretty tight spot.

"She's here!"

A scream that almost made all the out lookers jump broke in the cold silence in the docks at this late hour.

Luna ran away holding tightly her hood with both hands and running with her head down. It was pretty hard to run like but the young rockstar had no other choice.

Unfortunately when the brown-haired girl was getting out of the ferryboat one of the crazy fans saw her face.

"Just my luck"

Murmured the girl in an angry British accent. The girl looked around she turned the corner getting out of the docks facing now the road letting the city lights illuminate her face under the hood her green eyes were looking at the multiple cars driving at a legal speed.

Unfortunately, the sideroad was deserted completely by anything that would help her to hide from her crazy fans.

Luna heard their fast steps, getting closer and closer. Suddenly Luna's eyes widen in realization and full of panic she was ready to make a dangerous gamble.

The crazy fans were running after their favorite rockstar and when they turned the same corner as Luna they saw just a girl with light pink hoodie holding her phone with trembling hands like she just saw a ghost.

They ran to the girl to question her if she saw Luna Loud, but before they even open their mouth her trembling hand unglued itself off the phone and pointed in front of her even if it was absolutely nothing.

"L-Luna Lou-Loud, was running in that direction, oh my..."

The girl didn't even finished her trembling sentence that the girls rush like crazy madwomen in the direction the girl in pink was pointing.

Once the girls were out of the pink girl's view she suddenly squat down letting a sigh full of relief escape her mouth. She let her hood down letting everyone see she was actually Luna Loud herself.

She just turned her hoodie inside out.

Fortunately, her hoodie had a pink interior that helped her dearly.

*ping*

A short sound came from her phone. She look at the screen and she saw that it announced her that her Uber came.

She looked around and saw a black car parked at the side of the road. She walked towards the car while taking out her hoodie and turning it back to normal letting her warm body be attacked by the cold wind that made her tremble, quickly she put it back and entered the Uber.

Driving was a tan man, in his 30s smiling at the young girl.

"Hi, my name is..."

"I will give you twice if you get me to West Royal Woods Hospital in an hour."

The man was a bit surprised but he recovered fast.

"Miss this is not a taxi from a..."

His words were stopped again when the girl took not only the double amount for the ride but also 300 bucks.

The man could only blink a couple of times. Without a word, he took the money and started the car.

"Hold thigh"

Was the only thing he said before turning on the car, Luna could only be happy to listen to him when her head is pushed into the backseat when the driver speed off on the road.

Back to Lori.

After an hour of driving, she finally reached the Royal Woods Hospital, she parked the car and get out.

The air was much too cold for her light casual outfit. She put her arms around her shoulder to keep some of her warm and walk with fast steps towards the Hospital entrance, just when she reached her hand to open the door she suddenly crashes into someone making her fall on the hard ground on her ass.

"Hey watc... Lori?!"

Hearing her name she looked up and saw her little sister Luna Loud looked surprised at her.

"Luna?! How you got here?! Weren't you literally in Chicago now?"

The girls pick themself up, a weird atmosphere was circulating around them. Both girls were avoiding eye contact and kept their eyes on the ground.

"Do you really think I would miss this?"

The purple rockstar said in a quiet tone. She opened the door entering first into the hospital. The blonde loud was a bit speechless at her comment. She entered the hospital after her walking towards her sister.

"I would 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 say this. I'm just surprised like I said you were literally in Chicago."

The purple-wearing girl was looking at her for a second and let her head down.

"Yeah, you are right, so-sorry it just... "

"Yeah me too."

How can Lori don't understand her? The last time when they saw each other was not... ideal.

Both of them reach the reception and receive the number of Lincoln's room. Both of them rush toward their brother without saying anything more.

Lori was behind Luna looking at her back.

Her...back... she looked so different than the last time they saw each other.

It was when Luna decided to start her tour after 7 months after Lincoln disappeared. Most of them didn't like that. They were still hurting after their lost brother and now they have to watch their sister walk away.

However, their parents knew how important is for Luna this tour. So with heavy hearts, they decided to despise their children's complaints to allow Luna to go the tour.

Luna's manager said that everything from clothes to music equipment and daily necessities will be provided by the company that sponsored the tour. So luna took only a couple of clothes with her and her favorite guitar.

Even if they dislike her going away. They all gave their goodbyes and a couple of hugs for the road.

When Luna got out of the house holding her guitar case with one hand and the strap from the backpack with the other one she saw her big sister Lori staying on the sidewalk, waiting for her.

She didn't looked proud, or sad, or even happy for her sister that is going to get on a tour that would probably help greatly her music carrier. The only word that came out of her beautiful lips while looking expressionless at her sister was...

"Why."

Luna let her head fall down like a giant rock fell on her shoulders at her sister's voice. She knew why and that's why Luna felt furious and embarrassed.

When she announced that she will do a tour she heard everything her sisters and parents could said about it. Every rash words every supportive and unsupportive words. Every "we are so proud" to "you are insane!?" speech in the book. She heard it all.

But this... this only word hurt more than anything because she knew. Lori knew why she wanted to start her tour earlier.

"I told you to stay here, to stay for them for Linc.."

"Don't you dare to say his name!!"

The brunette cut her off screaming. Fortunately, the people in the house didn't hear anything. The brunette was looking vividly at the blonde. Her green eyes were filled with so much anger that she could barely hold herself back.

However, her big sister didn't even flinch. Her sharp and silent angry eyes were looking directly into her green eyes.

"Why are you running Luna, I told you to take care of them while I was gone. They need you."

Those words had no malice, no coldness, or warmth. But they hurt more than anything her sister and parents said to convince her to stay home.

Luna couldn't contain herself anymore.

"You don't know how it is! To wake up EVERY SINGLE day and to wake up looking at his door. EVERY DAY to see his console on the floor, to see his empty chair!"

After finishing what she had to say Luna ran to the taxi that was waiting for her to go to the destination where she would meet her manager and start her tour.

Lori could only stay speechless, she couldn't say anything. Mostly because...

...She was right.

Lori made sure to visit home as much as she can, especially now, but whenever she entered the house, walk on the halls, eat at the table she could only think of him, see him next to her looking at her with that innocent eyes, hear him playing at a loud volume to match the loud noises in the house, all those memories would replay in her head and her heart would hurt more and more than she could resist.

She understood Luna that's why even if she knew it was wrong she let her go.

She just stood there looking at her defeated back running away from her own house filled with their precious memories.

But now, running on the hospital halls. Wearing a wide smile that matches hers. Her back was not like the last time she saw her. She was glowing and so she was.

They were ready to see their brother
