He stared at her for a moment. For the last few minutes, he only exchanged words to confirm the reports given to him. He did not try to make any conversation with her. Rosa’s idea is to stay as low-key as possible, which was greatly hampered by the incidents around her. Laudren leaned back on his chair.

“I am curious as to why you did not apply to be the second in command to Logan?” His voice was too calm which made Rosa double back to check if it is a normal person talking.

“I am still short of qualifying for it.” She did not want to explain and leave quickly as possible.
