Dylan scowled at him. “I would be the calm one if they were not the pushy one. They take advantage of your absence too much. Even when they know you were out there protecting the Empire.”

“They have a good point; even though I have been absent, I was not committed to the growth of the place; I did abandon my duties to Rante even when the Emperor put it on me.” Darce chuckled.

“You are taking it lightly; they mentioned you abandoned the house when you took Rante as your job. They are trying to rile you up to their advantage.” Dylan grumbled; he was not happy with the silence Darce was showing.

“Still, we need to take care of the house's earnings as well,” Conner added.

“Hey, brother, are you on our side or theirs?” Dylan made a face at him.

“Just stating the facts, brother. Even though they are being unfair, it does not mean they are wrong.” Conner replied, sighing.
