Chapter Sixteen

When I woke up I was surprised to notice that I was being held with a very warm back pressed against mine. It was weird for me to be the one being cuddled because I was always the one doing the cuddling. I also was far from being small and was quite large but Nikkos was fairly bigger than me so it seemed to work out. I tried to move and his grip tightened on my waist, making me laugh a bit.

I twisted around so that I was now facing him and I could see his sleeping face. He looked so peaceful sleeping and I was taken in by his sharp facial features. I moved my hand to trace his jawline and when I reached the end was when he woke up. His eyes opened to stare at me tiredly before blinking and looking more aware. He gave me a smile and I moved my finger away from his face.

“We have to get up and your grip is unbreakable.” I told him and he chuckled as he unwrapped his arms from around me so that I could sit up.

Nikkos stomach made a noise, “I think I’m hungry.”
