Joe's POV....

- -JOE'S POV

I was lying on the couch while looking out from the window towards the moon. It was looking so beautiful and splendid.

I suddenly started thinking of Lia as I looked at the moon. I closed my eyes and her face was smiling at me. I automatically smiled with closed eyes. I got up from the couch took a shower and laid down on the bed.

Before bed, I scrolled down my social media app. I was just scrolling down and down not finding anything interesting then something caught my attention.

Lia had uploaded her picture which was taken by me when we were in the park. I looked at the photo and opened it First I saved the picture, then started to examine it.

Her naturally pinkish cheeks, her sharp jawline, those heart-shaped lips of her crazily beautiful. I put the phone aside on the side table, off the lamp, and closed my eyes. Her beautiful smiling face was still in front of my eyes.

"Of course, I do love you, but I can't let you know about it or else our friendship can be ruined." I was in my thoughts when my phone rang. I picked up and it was Adam.

Me: Hey, everything's good?

Adam: Mia is missing!!!!

Me: What? how? when? I said while standing up from the bed as I wasn't expecting him to say that unanticipated thing.

Adam: Just come downstairs. I'm waiting.

I got up from bed, wore my overcoat, and immediately went downstairs as I get out from my house, I saw Adam's car.

I got in the car as I looked at him his hair was messed up and anxiety can be seen clearly on his face. He wasn't wearing any Jacket but a half-sleeve T-shirt. Maybe he was too worried to wear anything.

As I got in, he fastly drove the car and then spoke up

"I already knew it, there must be someone who doesn't want me to be happy. First, Isa then my parents, and now, now Mia. That's why I rejected her once knowing already that she can't be happy with me."

He said while keeping his eyes on the road. He was just driving too fastly as if he know where she was, so I spoke up

"Where are we going?"

"As I said I already knew something would happen to Mia, I put a tracer on her phone. I put one on her car too but the car is in her house." he wisely said.

"But how do you know she's missing?" I curiously asked.

I went to her house to return her bag that she had forgotten in my car. When I knocked, her younger sister opened the door and I asked her about Mia.

She didn't say anything but looked at me with a worried face, first I think I'm too handsome but then her mother came and said

"she is already sleeping."

"Then" I again asked.

"Then I said while looking towards her sister why didn't you tell me that"

But you know what she said. She said

"Brother, mom has flung her out from the house" as she said it, her cruel mother harshly grabbed her in the house and closed the door.

He stopped the car in front of an alley and said

"here we are, we will find her here."

we both get off from the car and started walking in the alley.

"Miaaaaaa" "Mia!!!!!!!" we were shouting out of our lungs but there was no response. After a while, we saw Mia's broken phone on the ground, Adam picked it up and ran toward the darkness.

I followed him. We were running when I saw a figure lying on the ground, I stopped Adam and went closer to it. As Adam turned on the flashlight it was Mia.

She has fainted. Adam got scared and immediately picked her up in bridal style while running towards the car. We went to his house but he didn't bring her to his bedroom, instead, he took her to the guest room, release her on the bed, and sat beside her.

I was standing there while watching the whole scene. After a while, Adam stood up and said "I think you should go home, I'll take care of her." I thought Adam loved Mia and he can't harm her in any way so I said: "okay, but do let me know when she came into her senses" and left.

When I reached home, I went to my room and called Lia. Why the hell she wasn't picking up? I thought and again called her.

Now I was getting tense for her. I thought to call her again and if she again didn't pick up I would go to her house to see if she was okay. s I again called her she picked up

"Hello" her euphonious sound was beautiful enough to captivate me.

"Lia are you okay?" I hurriedly asked.

"Umm.. yeah I am," she said in a way that 'Joe are you okay?'

"Well, that's good then," I said and hung up in embracement. While knowing she was okay, I also went towards the bed and slept.
