37 Ch. 2.11 When it rains, it pours

"Mira" Zyair said, nonchalantly looking at his best friend, the best friend who practically sold him to be rape.

"What are you doing in here?" She again asked the fake concern is written on her face "Did you escape? Are you homeless? Don't worry, come with me and I'll help you." grabbing his hand, pulling him to the entrance.

What is this bitch doing in here? I will just call them to get him again if he somehow escapes. Mira thought to herself before smiling at his dumbfounded face, the face which she hates and envies at the same time.

"Get your hand off him." A loud voice said, snatching Zyair out of her hand, hiding and sandwiching the man at the same time.

"Who are you?" What is this? seducing three people at once? Did he really stoop this low? Giggling at the dog shit luck of her most hated person.

"We are his Security and Assistant. Who are you?" Tim asked, eyeing the woman having the guts to just pull their madam right in their nose. Outrageous!

"Security? Assistant?" Mira asked, growing confused by a minute, don't tell me the man-land himself in a jackpot?

"Yes! He is Alpha Adryan Paterson's mate. Now again, Who are you?"

Upon hearing him speak, Mira become too shocked to even utter a word, after getting sold in the establishment, becoming a mistress of a wealthy old man, she educates herself to the names of the nobility and the rich, Alpha Adryan is on both categories. The person she hates the most again upped her position. A mate? while she is a concubine to a perverted old man.

"Oh, I'm his best friend, right Zyair?" schooling her expression, she smiled to the man peeking at the larger man's body.

Here she is again, smiling in a fake manner because the man again is higher than her, just like how she makes friend with him because he is Jasmine's favourite. She really hates herself on not making sure that her plan is foul proof that night.

"Congratulations on finding your mate." Smiling in a fake manner, "I really should be going, see you around and remember to invite me to your engagement party."

Saying that Mira without waiting for their response go out of the cafe, she doesn't want to stay and be green with envy. I mean, who doesn't want to meet their fated pair? everyone does but only a small proportion really does.

"Is she really your friend?" Looking at the woman briskly walking out, Tim asked the omega still being sandwich by the two bodyguards. Seeing him nodded as a confirmation, he continues "She doesn't seem to like you."

"I know, She almost got me raped" Zyair nonchalant reply. "Why are you all shocked? friend do that sometimes."

Tim is still too shocked to the revelation his employer said, his mind is still digesting the information. He knows that people can be cruel, too cruel in fact to even betray a friend or even a family but this is the first time he had heard a story coming from someone who he is close to.

"Did you tell Alpha about that?" Still concerned, he again asked the omega whom he found really weird, he is too calm and subdues, not really a characteristic found for someone being betrayed by a friend.

"Nope! It will stay that way. I hope you won't tell him." Eyeing the two bodyguard who is silently listening to their conversation.

"So, what did I miss?" The cheerful voice of Adryan's secretary asked, looking at the four people standing beside the chairs and table, drawing some glance to the neighbouring ones.

"None!" Their uniformed response making the secretary look at them weirdly.

"Did you check the books that I keep on telling you about?" Directing her questioned to Zyair whose eyes were glued to the food being served at their table.

"I'll check it before we go out, I met an acquaintance and I forgot."

"Well...well...well... look who is here? the infamous Alpha Adryan's Mate?" A beautiful woman taunting voice come to their ear, making them all look at her direction.

She is wearing a white dress, holding her signature bag, standing in the front door, making a perfect picture of a delicate angel, pure and angelic but her eyes are full of malice, full of jealousy, full of hate...

She is Alpha Adryan's last girlfriend... being dumped, one week before the said man found his mate.
