Such Wonderful Breakfast!

Xavier flew up from his bed. He didn't sleep well because he didn't like soft beds. His body was sinking through the bed the whole night. And now he had a bad hair day and under his eyes had dark circles. As much as he wanted to sleep again he couldn't for it was already early in the morning and he had training. Xavier got up from the bed, bathe, and brushed his teeth. Baron assigned him to help clean the house if he wanted to stay and so Xavier had no choice. As he stood In the mirror, he wore a long black suit.

It was Butler clothing. Xavier opened the bedroom door and was now facing someone.

" Good morning," Katherine said.

" Good morning to you too," Xavier replied.

" Sorry, I thought you were still sleeping."

" Oh, it's fine," Xavier said.

Katherine then left." Well, cleaning time." Xavier sighed. Xavier then started scrubbing the windows.' Damn birds!" He cursed.

Xavier had developed a hate for birds. Going from window to window he lazily scrubbed. He hadn't even shrubbed more than three windows but beads of sweat ran down his face. He scrubbed and scrubbed until he was at the last window. Xavier loved to see things clean and shiny so he scrubbed until the blue cloth had turned brown from dust.

After an hour of scrubbing Xavier was finally done and was ready to help make breakfast. As he walked into the kitchen, he saw Sophia making breakfast." Allow me to help." Xavier said.

" You'll burn yourself," Sophia said as she had no idea how much of a great cook Xavier was.

He simply used things from his old world.

" Ahh, no. Just let me help." Xavier said.

" Fine, but don't cut or burn yourself!" Sophia had finally given in.

At first, Xavier started cutting vegetables. When he was done he looked everywhere for something.

" What are you even going to make? " Sophia asked.

" Looks like you'll test it after its finish," Xavier replied completely ignoring her question so he could surprise her later.

Xavier took sea salt, oregano, paprika, black pepper, onion powder, dragonfruit seeds, herbs, mushrooms, and pepper. After mixing it all and putting it into a pack, he saw able to produce seasoning salt. It wasn't the same as his world since most of the ingredients didn't exist here. He then started bowling the vegetables. Meanwhile, he took the chicken and added the seasoning salt, and placed spices inside it. He dropped small pieces of meat inside the vegetables while it was boiling. And when both meals were finished he started frying eggs with the very same seasoning salt.

" So you have any grape juice which was preserved for over two weeks or more?" Xavier asked Sophia.

" Well, there were some leftovers we didn't use," Sophia answered.

Xavier took the grape juice and boiled it. When he was finished, he took ice from a basket since there weren't any refrigerators in this world.

" There, it's all done." Xavier smiled looking at the breakfast he made which looked like lunch with sweat running down his face.

He had made salad, fried chicken, eggs, and homemade wine.

Sophia pushed her head forward and was left in shock. Which seven-year-old could such a meal? That was what she thought.

" Katherine doesn't eat vegetables."

" Trust me when I say she'll eat it." It was the same for Andrew but after Alex added a few secret ingredients he was able to make Andrew love vegetables.

As Xavier carried the meal to the dining table, Baron looked on Xavier's side of breakfast.

" Wow, you've outdone yourself today Sophia," Baron said.

Sophia looked away," That's Xavier's side. He made that side."

Baron turned in Xavier's direction." Well, I should have expected this much from Vivian's son."

As Baron dug in, Katherine looked at it." I don't eat vegetables."

" Just try it, trust me." Xavier smiled as he said this. No one could oppose such a warm and trustable smile.

As Katherine took a bite her mouth was blessed. She continued and continued to the point where you couldn't distinguish her eating with a dog's. Xavier touched his chest as his eyes sparkled, his food had gotten the respect it deserved. Such a sight touched his heart. Tears flowed down his face.

' Thank you, oh wise one.' He thought.

After seeing Katherine eating like that, Sophia tried it.

" Looks like I'm beaten." Sophia smiled.

' Finally, people appreciate my masterpiece.' Xavier couldn't hold back his tears any longer.

Xavier sat down and started eating. He cried as he ate his own dish. Even though he continuously wiped his face, he couldn't stop crying.' Soooo good.'

" Xavier, when you're done meet me around the river," Baron said in a serious tone as he left his seat.

" Okay," Xavier replied.

As Xavier got up from the table, he left the dining room.' I wonder where that old man is. I haven't seen him in a while.'

Xavier walked downstairs after stairs and had finally made it to the last story. As he opened the door, a loud gust of wind blew him away. His neat hair now looked like a bird's nest. Xavier walked the path to the gate. The moment he tried opening it he couldn't. His face turned red as he tried pulling open the gate. He tried and tried but was too weak." Damnit!" Xavier kicked the gate as he stormed off. The moment turned back he heard the gate swinging." Seriously, a kick?" It seemed that his kick had opened the gate.

As Xavier walked throughout the town. He saw gardeners toiling away at the soil in the hot sun and farmers nesting their animals. As the townspeople saw him they waved at him. The town was rich with animals and crops including flowers. It seems like they traded their plants and so forth to other cities and towns which didn't have much. As Xavier walked, he felt a strong presence of magic. Xavier having been shocked was now alerted. He held his guard up.

As he looked around, he saw a barrier around the town. It seems like someone placed it there to protect the townsfolk.

" How didn't I notice this before?" Xavier looked up as he saw a gigantic transparent magic barrier around the town. It was even extending to the River." Must be Baron's work."

Xavier then entered the woods without care. It was packed with bushes and trees. With a barrier around them, no beasts could ever hope of attacking him. It felt good to lower his guard once a while for he was safe.

Xavier whistled as he grew closer to the river and there he saw Baron.

" There you are, Xavier." Baron already felt Xavier approaching.

Xavier came out of the bushes." Well, so are we going to train?"

" Why would I bring you out here so yes we are going to training," Baron replied.

" Why did you put a barrier around here? To push out monsters?"

" Yeah. See, an evil god's dark magic still remains in that river so monsters will undoubtedly try to obtain that power to evolve into something dangerous."

" So Katherine's story was true?" Xavier asked.

" Oh, she told you about it? Then yes, it's true." Baron replied.

" That's kinda unbelievable but since you said so I'll believe it,"

Xavier said.

" Which element are you practicing right now?" Baron asked.

" Ice." Xavier instantly replied." I almost got the hang of it but I'm still nowhere I was when I awakened."

" Well, you are Feran's kid so you'll definitely be able to master it. Instead of channeling an ice spike from the floor try to imagine water. Just let your imagination flow as you channel mana. Then the moment you feel like your mana's releasing imagine that water turning into ice. Imagination is one of the factors of magic. It helps your mana release stably."

Xavier closed his eyes as he channeled mana. He stared into the darkness. He stared and stared until something started happening. Xavier heard the sound of water so he opened his eyes. He was shocked, he was now in a forest by a waterfall. The waterfall was gigantic. The water was clear blue and the environment was green. As he tried talking and shouted he couldn't it was almost like he couldn't talk at all. The waterfall was slowly turning into ice. The moment he tried to walk, a surge of mana had been released from his body and his eyes widen. An ice glacier shot out from the ground. He was back to where he was which meant that he imagined the whole waterfall.

It was nowhere as big as when he awakened but it was an improvement. The ice glacier was even on the surface of the river. Xavier felt happy, he didn't care about how big it was but how fast the progress took to make it this far.

" Why were you shouting?"

Xavier immediately turned in the direction of the voice. It was Baron. Xavier had forgotten that he was there.

" For a moment, when I closed my eyes I appeared by a waterfall. I couldn't shout, talk or scream. It was almost like it was real."

" You have a strong imagination. Take the rest of the day off, that must have taken plenty of mana."

" Okay, sir."

Xavier clenched his fist.' This is an improvement, coming here was worth it!'
