Battle At Late Night

During the conflict between the mayor, the slaves, and the masked figures, there was one who was confused or rather, lost. This young lad was, Alex who had lost his way back, no, Xavier and the girl left their meet-up spot. Alex had searched almost every corner of the battlefield but could not find them. He was tired, beads of sweat ran down his face as he panted.

" That Xavier! He ran away with a girl and left me here!"

It was the same thing he did to Xavier during the dance, he ran away and started dancing with them and left Xavier here. Except, Xavier didn't abandon him but Alex mixed up the location as four spots looked the same as the location they chose. It was expected from a mansion that should have been called a small castle. While Alex was searching for Xavier, he came across something shocking. He saw the slaves fighting back the enemy with Wayne.

" Oh, you must be a friend of the Elliot's." Wayne assumed.

" It's Alex Elliot, and I'm technically their adopted son." Alex instantly replied.

" Okay? Ahem! Have u seen a blonde hair girl?" Wayne asked.

Alex titled his head," Eh? There are a lot of blonde girls here."

" Know any that can use magic?" Wayne questioned.

Xavier pounded his fists against his palm," Sounds like the wind girl."

"Is this, em, wind girl, from their side?"

Alex then shook his head upward and downward.

" Do you know where she is? And how do you know her?"

" You got a crush on her or something, stop asking so many questions in a question. She teamed up with Xavier and me a while ago until they relocated somewhere else from our meet-up spot." Alex then clenched his fists," That so-called brother, to think he'd abandon his brother to run away with a girl he just met!"

" That doesn't sound like Xavier at all if anything maybe you should check if you've got the situation wrong."

" You sound as if you know him well." Alex grew suspiciously.

" Well, we had a rather unfortunate meet-up resulting in us both getting a beat down. So yes, I have a few experiences with Feran's son."

" Oh. Then you must be Wayne, son of Feran's rival, Loy?" Alex was getting to know Wayne a bit.

' Seems like a half-decent guy.'

" I feel like this battle will be coming to an end soon. Well then, I'll continue my search for the girl as I help clear the enemies, inform me if you find them." Wayne then walked off.

" Right."

Feran stood panting over the body of twenty-five enemies. The mayor lazily sat behind him looking through a window while Feran risked his life protecting him. As the mayor looked through the window, he noticed a rather strange thing approaching him. He then opened the window to get a closer look. Feran then grabbed him to the side.

" Hey! I have..."

As the mayor turned around, he could see a poison arrow on the column next to them as they were on the stage ( The room with many chairs. The same room in which the mayor had planned to hold his speech. The mayor then noticed how bad the situation was.

Feran then grabbed the mayor," We can't stay here, they know we're here so they'll keep coming."

As Feran's sweat touched the man's clothing, he began to nag." I paid a lot for this!"

" Pipe down unless you want to get paid for your life."

Feran then jumped through the window holding the mayor. The vivid beautiful moonlight then dazed at them and the stars looked like glitter in the benighted sky. Feran was taking a different route through the roof.

" Didn't the enemy just attack from the window, they'll know you're here."

" I didn't come here for no reason, just leave it to me." Feran reminded the old man that he was the strongest holy knight in town and that he did not need to worry.

Feran looked like a ninja in the moonlight jumping from one part of the roof to another. He was far better off becoming an assassin as he barely broke a sound as he did this. Feran then jumped on a steep window ledge, broke the glass, and carried the mayor through it.

" Now they're confused even if they got eyes on us, they were would take time to inform their allies about our location. So we move out again!"

" Oh boy." The mayor was not used to this.

Vivian walked through the mansion to the exit. She knew exactly what was going on yet she didn't care as she walked slowly. When she was close to the entrance, she was halted. Two men dressed in black stood in front of her way.

One of them pushed their body forward and tilted their head," Uh? What's a woman doing here? I thought all the civilians ran away? She is pretty, reminds me of my grandma."

" Dumbass, you don't have a grandma remember! Kill the woman she may tell about us." They both argued.

Vivian then placed her palm on her face," You two must be dumb and dumber, am I right?"

One could see their veins protruding through their masks," What you say, woman?"

They then dashed towards Vivian losing their temper. Vivian smirked as she gathered mana in her palm. The mana circled her palm until a transparent flow was now visible around her hands. One could also feel the strong winds blowing by. As the two masked men grew closer, she released the spell. Wind, almost in the form of a bullet shot out continuously. The two then surprisingly dodged all of the attacks while still closing in on her. Vivian was astounded, she had underestimated the two for weaklings. They then slashed their daggers at her. But Vivian gripped one of their daggers stopping one of the two marked figures in motion and as the other one approached her, she propelled him with a wind spell. She then kicked the loud one in the stomach while still gripping their dagger.

She then held him in place," Reverse Healing!"

Instead of a green light emitting from her palms, it was red this time. As reserve healing was a healing technique that did the opposite of healing.

" I feel weak." The masked man dropped to his knees as he could barely retain his consciousness.

While Vivian was busy getting rid of one of them, she lowered her guard. Vivian then heard loud but fast steps approaching her. She then spun around and held her arms in an X position blocking her face. As their fists hit her hands, she was sent flying back." Crack!" was the sound of her broken arms. The one responsible for this was the enemy for before, the one she had propelled. But something was different, as his stance and presence felt life-threatening. He was definitely using physical enhancement magic.

" I should heat things too. Healing magic, Healing Cloak!"

Healing cloak was a physical recovery magic ability that healed any minor wound the caster sustained. The enemy then zoomed up to Vivian once again in an instant. He aimed his fists at her head trying to crush her brain. Both Vivian tilted her head resulting in just a scratch by her cheek. She then used advanced wind magic in both palms to push herself away. The scratch had already healed in just one second. Vivian then closed her eyes as she channeled magic from the environment. The reserve healing technique also transferred the magic of the victim to the caster. So Vivian drained the man of nearly all his mana making her ripe with mana already but she absorbed more as she wanted to finish the battle as quickly as possible. She did this all while the enemy was tired. Moving around so fast drained a lot of stamina and not to mention who he used physical enhancement magic drained a lot of mana from him.

" Your body can't even keep up with physical enhancement magic yet you use it. Do you not know you can damage your mana core permanently?" Vivian asked." Well, no use asking a dead man a question.

As the man regained stamina he looked up at Vivian," Eh?"

A tornado that looked like a whirlpool pushed the man straight through the mansion. It was almost like a mini-tornado as it circled around and around. Since the mansion was built on a mountain, that would mean that the enemy met their demise. They had fallen to death but if he was strong enough, his physical enhancement magic could save him. There was a huge hole in the wall and the floor included, it was almost as if a cannon was shot at the room Vivian was in which was the hallway before the exit. As Vivian pushed her head through the hole, she could see the man unmasked on the fall either dead or was slowly dying.

" The mayor's rich, he can fix a hole, right?" Vivian shook her head," I wonder what Xavier's doing." She then turned her head to the mansion." Wait, Xavier's fighting them too isn't he? But he can't use magic, Xavier!" Vivian changed her mind, she was going to clear every enemy in her path to see if Xavier was fine.
