96 Temporal Sword
With the rotating momentum of my swords and my fast appearance. I streaked across the sky like a tornado of elemental evil. The main Hydra's eyes shined with a green light, as all the heads regenerated extremely quickly.
"Using Blood Essence to regenerate?" I said mocking the beast
Then all of sudden the Hydra's scales shined in a dark light and strengthened. Black runes appeared on its skin as all 4 heads bit at me. Our attacks collided creating massive sparks and spewing fire and ice everywhere.
Trees would be hit with shadow force and wither and decay at a high speed. All of sudden the Hydra screamed out in pain, as a sword cut through one of its runic scales. The rune was consumed by the sword then the scales were punctured.
"Hiss, Hiss!" The Hydra spewed a massive amount of corroding toxins at me.
"Purify." I declared as a golden black flame gathered from the air onto my body. Around me, the very poison was burned into nothingness.
"Void Fire!" It was my self-created art, that took the other properties of the void and created a sort of purity from it.
"Yin Ice." In my left eye, the piercing blue became corrupted with a dark force.
In my palm appeared a malevolent black storm of ice, I released the storm at the Hydra's angry form. Along the battered scales appeared a black frost, the injuries on the Hydra started to expand. At this point, the Hydra's scales were almost completely shattered, and almost all its heads were cut off. It no longer had the energy to regenerate heads.
"That can't be all, I know you have a few more moves." I teased as the main Hydra head edged back.
I flew closer to the Hydra and started to move back faster. Then the Hydra quickly entered the Cave and disappeared in moments. When I entered the Cave, it was damp poisonous and dark.
"Is this your final struggle before death." I teased as my eyes shined with runic patterns. The darkness of the Cave disappeared it was blinding bright. When I saw the Hydra, its one head flew at me from the left like a sword.
I activated my sword intent to the fullest and cut at the Hydra head. But the scales on the main head were too durable, so the Hydra escaped with a few injuries.
Then it turned around and tried to attack from a different direction, it went through the ground and tried to destabilize me. I stepped on the ground releasing shadow force, which created a corrosive and withering domain.
The Hydra quickly fled from underground and was back on the surface. I could see the Hydra coil up, around a few support pillars and then it opened its mouth. It spewed massive amounts of burning green flames at me, the only main head did so by itself. The flames came at me like a torrential rain.
"You are rather terrifying, I will admit that." I said as the glyph on my foot flashed with power. Around me, space started to shatter and bend to my will.
"But you aren't unbeatable, Void Shatter!" I said as spatial energy condensed on my fist. I punched the space in from of me and forced open a spatial crack. With my true body here the formation couldn't limit me at all, I could shatter the void as much as I wanted.
The beam of poisonous green flames flew at the spatial crack in front of me. A majority of the flames entered the portal disappearing. The remaining tried to approach me only to be frozen into black ice or burned by my golden black flames. The Hydra looked at me surprised and almost seemed to be begging.
"Well if you have nothing left...." I said as I once again charged up my swords.
"Then prepare to die!" I yelled out as I once again became a whirlwind of swords flying at the Hydra.
The Hydra was about to run the other direction, but as I flew at the monster. A barrier of sword intent appeared in front of me, it cut apart my sword winds and sent me flying back. I could feel my inner physique almost go into chaos, a powerful presence suppressed my will.
"So you show yourself now." I coldly intoned as the sword intent formed a face. It was the First King Gavinus!
"Destiny is rather strange." The face said almost reminiscing
"Cut the crap, I know who you are and you know who I am." I said as I examined the First King with cold unfeeling eyes.
"Alright, this is how I prefer it anyway." Gavinus said as his stare became angry rather than smiling.
"I want you to break this formation." Gavinus said as he examined my face
"You really were sealed in here it seems." I said as I started to chuckle
"Then it seems you figured out more than I expected." The First King said as he watched me in cold light. He seemed to be extremely angry, as I schemed against him.
"You left the clues, I just deciphered them." I said nonchalantly
How could I receive something for nothing? I wasn't so naive to believe such a thing, he has a purpose for me. With his heretical behavior, he could only rely on someone as crazy as him. After all, we both desired to become gods, he almost became a demigod. But then he was slain by the demons, only his consciousness survived and hid here.
"So those demons were using the Death Qi source to track you. They want to find your soul, then force out the location for the treasury." I said as the First King's face hardened
"Since you helped me out, I will abide by the law of equivalent exchange. But if you make me risk my life at all....." I said as I gripped my void sword with my greatest strength
"You'd best have something to back up that claim." The First King said as a sword manifested from his intent in his hands.
"Bloodline Genesis." I yelled out as scales reappeared along my body, and my left eye became a piercing blue. My right eye became a burning golden black, and my eye of chaos flashed open.
"Ignis sword Art!" Gavinus declared around me appeared a web of sword intents. They became globs with strings connecting them sealing me.
"So this is your sword path...." I said as I gripped the void sword with my two Draconic arms. On my face appeared a few disjointed black scales with runes.
"Devour!" I activated as I slashed out with a dragon of devouring. The dragon coiled with each slash of my sword cutting at the sword intent. Even going as far as consuming the web, but the Gavinus' sword intent was unending. The web would replenish and continue to slash at me.
"Your path is still in its embryonic state, yet you want to fight me?" Gavinus chuckled as the sword intent layered even more.
"Thank you, these samples are extremely useful." I said as I called back the Dragon of Devouring. My presence became sharp just like the sword in Gavinus' hands.
"What are you doing?" Gavinus asked extremely curious
"Naturally, perfecting my own path." I declared as my all three of eyes started to glow violet.
In my status bar, my true qi lost its acceleration component. Then a new sword art appeared in the Ancestral Code, Sword Web. This was the fourth style of the Ancestral code, the mastery of speed.
"You are indeed talented, to consume my sword intent and comprehend it...." Gavinus said as he watched the transformations in my intent. Inside of my bag of holding emerged a porcelain green gem, it levitated over my head releasing a green essence into my body. The green energy swirled around me generated rogue tornados.
"Sword Web, Sword of Acceleration, and Power of the Wind ." I intoned as all my sword arts were released.
Around me, sword qi accelerated in all directions creating a web to seal the tornado. The web condensed down the tornado into a palm-sized form. Then the 3 techniques fused together to create wind shadows.
"Windshadow Code." I declared as the techniques all fused together to create the Fourth code for the Ancestral Code. My intent which was capped started to transform as though it was about to break through.
When I reached level 30 fully, I would finally condense my Sword Heart. I already had the final style mastered with shadow sword intent. But I hadn't been able to make a code for my shadow sword intent, it was just too profound.
"Now feel my intent." I said as my eyes continued to shine violet. My sword flashed with shadows of the wind and a strange temporal power, I swung at a slow speed. But then it started to get faster and faster; it seemed as though my saber was a wind shadow.
"Wither away." I declared as the sword cut at the Ancestor King, he raised his sword in guard. But then the very sword intent itself started to wither away.
"Incredible, you've touched on temporal powers..." Gavinus said in an extremely interesting voice, his avatar started to wither and become charred with black energy.
"I'll thank you for the tempering, but I know that didn't hurt you." I said as I sheathed the void sword. I was only showing my bottom line if this were a real fight. I would make sure to escape before I consider anything like fighting him.
"You have proven your skill, then I only ask that you break the formation." Gavinus said as he transmitted a few memories to me.
"Ah, this is extremely helpful; but I hope you understand I can't break it now." I said as I gauged Gavinus' response.
"I have already divined that long ago when you reach the legendary realm you can destroy the formation. Your path relies on your avatars and finding your roots." Gavinus said as he disappeared the Hydra receded deeper into the cave. From the memories, I knew the origin of that Hydra, but I would keep that to myself.....
"Well, then the tournament must be progressing by now. Why don't I make a little appearance?" I said with a chuckle as I flashed away from the cave.
