Chapter 11

The sports festival was so boring that some higher power manipulated the entire dimention of time and then..

Fast forward..

Izuku won the tournament by defeating Bakugo. He even managed to get Todoroki to use his fire quirk.

Some memorable moments from the event were...

Obstacle course race:

"Midoriya just cleared the second obstacle in record time and he doesn't even seem to care!! He is eating a chocolate while sitting on his flying carpet of flames!!"

Cavalry battle:

"Midoriya has created a spinning wall of flames around his team!! No one is able to reach them!!"

Break after Cavalry battle:

While everyone was resting and preparing for the final round, Mineta and Kaminari somehow tricked the girls of class 1-A to wear cheerleader uniforms.

Midoriya's eyes were locked towards Uraraka. He felt his face heat up and it confused him. He was not using his quirk on his face yet he could feel the temperature rising.

Plus, she looked nice.

Thrid task (Knockout tournament):

Midoriya vs Shinsou:

The boy tried his best to get a response from Izuku but the greenette simply stood still, trying to understand why he was saying such mean things about Ojiro.

When nothing seemed to work, Shinsou shouted out of frustration and impatience, "Why aren't you saying anything!?"

Izuku simply sighed and walked towards Shinsou.

The boy tensed up and said some more but ultimately got knocked out of the ring with a quick maneuver. He couldn't even react.

He looked up at Izuku, waiting for the boy's ridicule.

Izuku glared down at Shinsou and said, "It is you who is worthless, not Ojiro. I gave you three minutes to attack, to try and defeat me. Yet, all you did was talk and say mean things about my classmates. Is this how you plan to be a hero? Standing and talking, relying on your quirk? If you want to be a hero then you need to work for it. You are lucky to have a quirk.. and such an amazing one at that. Don't let it go to waste over your envy of those who have combat based quirks. There are billions out there who do not share your luck."

Having said that, Izuku walked away leaving behind Shinsou with much to think about.

Bakugo vs Uraraka

She was distraught over her loss.

Despite trying her very best, Uraraka could not win against Bakugo.

Izuku waited for Iida to leave before he walked towards Uraraka and before she could say anything, he gave her a hug and began rubbing her back.

"There there.. Izuku is here." He awkwardly said as she bawled into his chest.

Midoriya vs Todoroki

Izuku had to listen to Todoroki's rant ans suspicion about him being a secret love child of Endeavor to which Izuku said, "My father left me and my mother for fairer skin when I was two years old. He has a fire breathing quirk while my mother has a quirk that allows her pull small objects towards her. Mine is an amplified combination of the two. In a gist, my quirk is superior in every single way to be anything like Endeavor's quirk. I do not care if you have him as a father. Atleast you have one. As to not using the other half of your quirk..."

Izuku glared into his eyes. It was tough for Todoroki to breath for a moment, such was the intensity and pressure of being under Izuku's glare.

"How dare you.. You have the blessing of having two amazing quirks.. there are children that are being thrown away by their parents for not having a quirk.. You don't deserve your quirks let alone be a hero with that mentality. If you really want to be one... then use your quirks to the fullest and become a hero to prevent another child from suffering through what you had to. Stop running away like a coward and embrace it for what it is."

Todoroki didn't use fire during the fight with Izuku, know how easily the greenette could turn the fire against him. But, he did use it to counter the effects of using ice.

He lasted for a while.. Until Izuku got bored and ended it by overheating the very air around Todoroki, thus, forcing him to quit.

Izuku vs Bakugo

"This is fight number 10.. How do you plan to add a win to your otherwise record of all defeats?"

Bakugo snarled and said, "Shut up! Just start fighting! I'll defeat you this time."

Izkuku just shrugged and flamed on. Bakugo started by blasting towards him and spinning rapidly, trying to kick Izuku in the head.

Izuku bent down to dodge, grabbed his leg and slammed him face first into the ring. Clicking his tongue, he said with condescension, "You always go with a direct attack and you always fail. Do you ever learn?"

Bakugo growled hard. Izuku would always say something demeaning whenever he wanted to rile the blonde up and like always, he got provoked again.

It didn't take Izuku long to throw Bakugo out of the ring and win the tournament.

As Bakugo sighed in fruatration, Izuku walked to him and said, "You are not angry. So you did take my advise."

Bakugo barked, "Of course I did! Didn't do much. What should I do next?"

Izuku stroked his chin and said, "Whenever you get angry, try going to your happy place."

"Happy place?"

The two completely ignored Present Mic and the crowd cheering for Izuku and walked out of the stadium while talking.

"Yes. Happy place is what you imagine you would be most happy doing or being in a place that makes you happy. For me, it is eating plain toast and boiled beans or swimming in molten magma in the very embrace of mother earth."

Bakugo wanted to slam his head into the wall when he listened to the ridiculous likes of Izuku.

"So you're saying that I should imagine pounding you into a bloody paste or blowing the world up."

All the while ignoring how psychotic his own likes were.

Ixuku snapped his fingers and said, "Exactly."

The two friends were one of a kind.
