Nightmare

It was raining heavily...

-Sky full of cracks

-Devastated cities

-Countless dead bodies of humans and monsters

In such desolate land stood a boy in a black coat. The boy was very young, his appearance was like that of a ten-year-old who hasn't reached his teen.

His body was drenched in blood and full of scars, and his dull purple eyes shone in the land filled with death and despair.

-Rooaaarrr!!

The boy saw countless flying monsters and gigantic beings resembling a lump of flesh with an indescribably hideous look wreaking havoc and destroying cities in the distance.

-Boom!

Noticing a sign of life, the endless tide of monsters starts rushing toward the boy.

He didn't exude any killing intent but his presence emitted an invisible pressure strong enough to kill people with one glance, even so, the monster shows no sign of stopping.

Slowly the boy unsheathed his katana.

As the tide approaches him, he silently massacred them one by one

Weeks...

The boy kept moving and killing countless monsters without rest, the way he move was perfect and efficient, and even as the fight prolonged he didn't get tired or injured.

Like a machine, he felt no pain, no emotion, nor exhaustion.

His eyes were dull and devoid of light, no energy could be felt from him, and his every attack would instantly kill.

Like that the war continues...

After 1 month and 13 days

"ha.. ha.. ha.."

On the ground, a grotesque being with the shape of a human was desperately crawling away gasping for air.

hearing the sound of footsteps, he panicked and increased his pace. As the sound gets closer, he turns his back and saw 'him'.

Two eyes devoid of light was staring at him. Even with a tattered body, the atmosphere he emits retains its momentum when the war started. Witnessing the countless compatriots he massacred, intense fear filled his soul. With his last breath, he spoke to the figure resembling a boy.

"You monster..."

Without speaking a word, the boy decapitated his head and turn him to void.

Confirming the death of the final monster, the boy stares at the sky.

"How ironic... To think that the invaders who destroy and plunder called me a monster..."

Seeing his comrade and family in that endless sea of corpses, he felt empty. The fact that he felt nothing in this situation angered him deeply.

After blankly staring at the sky, he slowly scoured the sea of corps in search of survivors with his surviving comrade.

After hours of searching...

"Found you..."

What he saw was the corpse of a couple.

As he stare at the corpse, eight of his comrades gathered their attention on him and saw the corpse.

Some of them fell to their knees, others wept and cry, and some were silently weeping.

Unlike them, the boy was silent. Intense pressure was emitted from his body. He felt deep anger with his own weakness and sadness for losing more of his precious comrade.

With eyes full of sorrow, the boy quietly spoke.

In a garden, a silver-haired girl was quietly enjoying her tea. Beside her, there exists a fairytale-like lake with swans swimming around.

"Miss, do you need more tea?" (Mina)

"It's okay, I don't want to be too full before breakfast" (Laila)

After answering, Laila turns her attention to the beautiful lake view beside her. The lake was clear like crystal. The lush green trees and the carefully decorated flower further enhance the view of the lake.

"It's beautiful" (Laila)

Remembering what happened yesterday, a smile bloomed on her face.

"To think father give us a mansion of this scale..." (Laila)

Thinking of living in a mansion we own together with Ray gave me the feeling of a true married couple. Imagining it Laila blushed and squealed cutely.

Mina warmly smiled at her cute action. Remembering something, Mina opened her mouth.

"Miss, I heard from the duke that you and the prince remember your previous life" (Mina)

At her exaggerated praise, Laila's expression worsened.

"Ohh it is fate! How lucky for the prince to have you as his fiancée in both this and your previous life" (Mina)

Seeing Laila's embarrassed face, Mina smiled playfully. No matter how mature they are, in Mina's eyes, they are still a child.

Breaking the warm atmosphere Laila's expression suddenly harden. Confuse by the sudden change Mina tilted her head

Instead of answering, she jumped from her seat and ran at full speed towards the mansion.

Feeling uneasy by Laila's unusual expression, Mina quickly tried to follow her. As she was about to run, her body suddenly stopped.

At that moment, a bone-chilling pressure spread in the air.

As if weighted down by thousands of elephants, she fell to her knees. Even after spreading her aura, she failed to resist. Her sharp instinct is screaming to run as far as possible but her body didn't move.

After a while, soft and gentle energy spread widely containing the ferocious pressure.

Recognizing the owner of the energy, Mina sprinted towards the mansion.

On her way, she meets up with Anna who is accompanied by her soldiers rushing towards the mansion.

After reaching the source of the energy, Anna rushed in with her sword ready.

"Prince!" (Anna)

What she saw was something unexpected. Behind her, Mina and the soldiers made a bewildered expression at the sight.
