Futures Embrace - Special Chapter
Year 612
Walking down the molten pathway, with ashes and debris erupting from all directions, the atmosphere was filled with an eerie sense of danger. The path ahead led towards the base of Mt. Rummage, a colossal volcano, its dormant state giving it an air of mystery. A cascading blue liquid leaked from the base, forming a small pool, and the man, dressed in rugged jeans and a dark green shift covered by a black cloak that draped to the bottom of his knees, bent down.
With a purposeful gesture, he pulled a small, empty vial from his pocket, carefully collecting a hefty-sized sample of the unusual liquid. He placed the vial securely in his pocket, muttering under his breath, "This better be worth it. I've put a lot of faith into you, you know."
A faint voice emanated from a device on his wrist, proclaiming, "Good job. Now, just sneak back out, and we'll be good to go."
